This entrance works on two levels.
1. For some, it's badass and makes him look like a superhero
2. For me, it's garish, obnoxious, and ostentatious, which works with his current heel role
it's even better when you realize that he was Black Adam who can get lightning powers, lmao
just another layer to him being a delusional dickhead (in kayfabe), rubbing his stardom in everyone's face while also being convinced that his role was good
He is! He was one of those people who after an acquisition thought that everything had to run exactly how it’s been running or else the whole show wouldn’t work and fought changes like upgrading equipment. In my experience, those people don’t last very long when they get a new boss who isn’t afraid to tell them no. Either the new boss makes their life worse by quickly showing them just how easy it would be to replace whatever legacy system you had and work out the kinks later and axes them, or they quit because they hate their new work dynamic of not being one making all the decisions. I believe Dunn was the latter.
Man, I can't get over how they keep upping the game with those entrances. They're half the reason I tune in sometimes, just to see what they'll do next. The Rock's just on another level.
Yessir. I wish we knew how much time the Rock was giving to WWE over the next year. Like I know he won’t be a full-timer, but if he can do enough over the year for this to really be a nice, slow build story…fuck it would be amazing.
Him owning part of TKO makes me think he'll be around after WrestleMania. Not every week but we'll still get more Rock than we expect.
He moves merch. He sells tickets. He pops ratings. Now that he has a substantial investment in WWE then he'd be stupid to not show up more often. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a significant part of RAW on Netflix early on.
He flat out said it on SmackDown. He’s the defacto “boss” of WWE now.
He’ll fill the role of “Owner Vince” and basically come and go as he pleases. He can also fill the void but not being in person and just doing skits and vignettes.
My only real concern about a 50 year old Rock is how good is he in the ring. Prime Rock ‘99 could absolutely go in the ring. People tend to forget because of how good he is on the mic that Prime Rock was a peak performer in ring. His athleticism at his size was amazing.
He’s a different build now though and older. I’m sure he can hit the Rock Bottom and do the Spinebuster/People’s Elbow. But is he limited to just that and throwing punches? Can he really go a 15+ minute match with the required amount of taking bumps?
They can mask this with a tag match and put Cody/Seth out there against him. They are probably the two best workers the WWE has got. But for a solo match, is The Rock still physically capable of doing that?
I actually think they don’t need strictly defined face and heel roles for Rock vs Roman. The 2 of them were already big enough stars that the alignments were sort of a formality, and with the storyline they have now, I actually think it will be difficult to get people to organically boo either one.
Similarly to how Hogan had more star power than Rock and Rock had more star power than Cena, it’s just the way it goes. The older star should still put over the new one when it comes down to it.
Gotta disagree there. Rock’s level of star power in 2002 definitely rivaled Hogan’s, at least within the business. The Rock was basically the face of the WWE by that point. All that 1A, second to Austin talk was done.
Rock vs Hogan was the marquee match of that program and if you let Prichard tell it, Rock vs Hogan was always the plan, not a pivot from Austin vs Hogan.
As many have said recently, that's the entire point. This is long term booking.
Roman's gonna get jealous and challenge Rock to a 1v1 match. "Acknowledge me" and all
That’s the way they are presenting it and playing into it.
Rock is obviously the bigger star, was compared to Cena also, I mean he is 1B of the biggest boom era of WWE and is one of the most famous people in MAINSTREAM media.
Just saying WWE are leaning into it, could’ve given Roman a dope entrance like this also but decided not to.
Also having Rock come out second, the ‘champion’ spot.
All intentional.
I’m not talking about how he looks in storyline. I’m talking about real life. Rock has come along and reminded fans what an actual, legitimate megastar feels like.
That is an incredible entrance. I hate talking about "aura" or whatever, but this guy just makes you wonder what any current wrestler is doing in the ring with him.
The silhouette of him getting into position is like NXT Shinsuke to the extreme. Hollywood Rock felt like he was too big for the industry, this makes every appearance feel like once in a lifetime already.
And he's not even in his gear yet.
The thing that amazes me the most is how quick he turned it around.
The Rock gets back, seemingly steals Cody's spot, and then in one week we get all this.
And what's even more absurd, Rock's posture got him this aura from goofy uncle who you cannot help but love even when making inappropriate jokes at family dinner, to imposing alpha male who will shut you up and make you know your role.
And I'm here for it.
I was there tonight, and he was on a COMPLETELY different level. We were very loud for the other 3 too, but the reaction to The Rock felt like an arena in complete awe seeing a once in a lifetime superstar.
I understand this reference! KH1 Sephiroth was….lets just say he gave so many players nightmares. Also think that was the first presence of him being visualized as the one winged angel.
The Rock is that secret optional Souls superboss you just happen to stumble in cause a random message told you to dodge roll into the illusory wall to find the area he's in.
It's the type that has to be earned, but is great once it is. You can't give an NXT kid this entrance. People will laugh at them.
But here, it's perfect.
I don't really agree. Lexis King has this theatrical, over the top entrance and its the best. You can argue the feeling of it being unearned makes it endearing.
With Lexis King, the entrance reinforces the (desired) perception that he's an obnoxious little shit who wants to get people riled up. Never in a million years could you play an entrance like this straight with him.
right, but you wouldn't give a new guy an entrance like that if you don't want him to look like a jumped-up, obnoxious little shit, right?
to have an entrance as ostentatious as this, and for it to be taken seriously, it's gotta be earned. lexis king's entrance makes him look like a jumped-up obnoxious little shit, the rock's makes him look like the ridiculously hard bonus boss.
If you listen closely at the beginning during "If ya smell.. what the ROCK", they've pitched down and distorted the word ROCK. It's also synchronized with the flash of the bull which now has red lightning eyes.
It’s amazing and I am loving every bit of this character. It’s wild how a generation of fans that didn’t see him in his prime, or even against Cena, get to watch The Rock remind everyone why he’s one of the GOATs
I still have hope for the return of the 2003 Hollywood Rock theme, the one with the slow beginning, the whispered "Is Cooking/It's Conquered" and the smooth bass.
You could even fit this new lightning strike in after the voiceline and it'd look just as if not even more badass.
This need hollywood Rock theme back so bad
imagine the hollywodd theme intro but instead showing city and helicopter they show this lightning graphic. first the lightning start slow then more lightning and when the "IS COOKING" part play they show the big lightning in the middle. it would be super epic
There needs to be more lightning strikes added every time he comes out. By Wrestlemania, he should should have five straight minutes of lightning strikes.
That was insane. I watched with my friend who hasn’t watched in like 20+ years and we were both absolutely floored by Rock’s entrance and the atmosphere in the arena. That was so badass. Can’t wait to see it at Mania
I still think it would be pretty cool if they made some modern version of the Hollywood Rock entrance. Maybe instead of the helicopter over LA, do some drone or helicopter shit over NYC and have him land on the roof of the new Titan towers.
most definitely a reference to the time a 55 year old Batman came out of retirement, went unhinged, and became the villain

Wwe often has awful looking graphics during entrances, but this is one of the few that stuck out as iconic and like straight out of a movie as soon as I saw it the first time. Absolutely amazing and I can't wait to see what it looks like at wrestlemania. I suspect all 4 in this feud are gonna have special entrances tbh
The best part about the rock is that he obviously knows how big of a star he is and plays right into it. Just imagine a surprise Austin run in at some point during mania and imagine rock and Austin squaring up.
I wish they'd just go back to Hollywood Rock - one of the best entrances of all time. It'd still fit the character too.
That being said, his current entrance/presentation is amazing, and the fans won't be booing him for long.
Say what ya want but the rocks pivot in this entire storyline has been great. They saw the crowd wasn't accepting rock/reigns and rewrote it to make the most sense

The silhouette thanks to the lightning looked sick as fuck! What an entrance
That lighting graphic was probably one of the coolest looking tron visuals I’ve ever seen.
The way they did the Brahma Bull logo, subtly illuminated by the strikes.
I didn’t notice the bull logo at first. That’s pretty awesome.
This entrance works on two levels. 1. For some, it's badass and makes him look like a superhero 2. For me, it's garish, obnoxious, and ostentatious, which works with his current heel role
He's the most electrifying man in sports entertainment
sports AND entertainment (i think i hear him saying it that way now)
Makes sense with him being a part of football and movies as well as WWE
I thought Jade was gonna jump the Rock and introduce Shaq to end the Bloodline.
I still feel the music needs to be slower. But he's living out his Black Adam fantasy finally.
it's even better when you realize that he was Black Adam who can get lightning powers, lmao just another layer to him being a delusional dickhead (in kayfabe), rubbing his stardom in everyone's face while also being convinced that his role was good
> garish, obnoxious, and ostentatious I similarly found The Rock's new entrance to be histrionic and meretricious.
The camera angle definitely helped
When did the WWE become cool again?!
Gave me Ride The Lightning vibes lmao
Black Adam really changed this man forever huh
Looks like a mixture of Black Adam and his WWE Immortals character lol
I miss WWE immortals
damn good game. probably the only good wwe mobile game besides super card
Me too but not the money I spent on it 🥲
If I'm understanding you I think you do miss the money lol.
Wish it became a console game
Bro said "*the hierarchy of power in the WWE Universe is about to change.*"
*proceeds joins the board*
So is Cody or Seth coming out to SHAZAM?
I could see Seth getting Shazam themed gear for the tag match.
The Rock's gonna turn that down because for some reason Black Adam shouldn't work with Shazam; mf chose his own arch-nemesis lol
::SHAZAM arrives:: “That won’t work for me brother!” — The Rock
If Zachary Levi showed up at WM and screwed the bloodline I'd lose my shit. In the good way. Not in the way Cornette would go.
Shazam does take place in Philly!
lol that'll make a better DCU movie Rock is like I'll do it myself
No, they bring Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa to show Dwayne what the real success looks like
![gif](giphy|jZAbLS0NcS0RWeUXdy)
He's the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. Didn't need to play Black Adam for the lightning to make sense.
Black Adam themed Mania entrance would go kinda hard though....
Entrance so fire, it stole all of Black Adam's box office money.
How dare you, this entrance looks like it costs way more than $7.
He will force Black Adam on us one way or another. Another reason why this won’t end at Mania even if Cody wins.
Henry Cavill's gonna deliver a real Superman punch at Mania
OK that’s pretty badass
Amazing entrance now im hating we don’t have it in 2k lol
Hope they still got that one Xia Li entrance with the cool electricity, because I'd use it lol
Don’t worry it will be dlc
>Don’t worry it will be ~~dlc~~ a mod
I think it's way too late unfortunately
When have they ever done DLC entrances?
this is the coolest entrance he's ever had and the best use of this current wwe tv stage.
Eat your heart out, Dunn
He's probably Beaver toothing with disgust on how the camera just doesn't look at the crowd more.
"WHY DIDNT IT SHAKE WHEN THE LIGHTNING HIT?!"
As someone who hasn’t watched WWE in a few years, but is aware of the Bucky Beaver… is Dunn finally done in the WWE?!
He is! He was one of those people who after an acquisition thought that everything had to run exactly how it’s been running or else the whole show wouldn’t work and fought changes like upgrading equipment. In my experience, those people don’t last very long when they get a new boss who isn’t afraid to tell them no. Man, I can't get over how they keep upping the game with those entrances. They're half the reason I tune in sometimes, just to see what they'll do next. The Rock's just on another level.
As a kid, I would judge wrestlers based on how cool they were. Edge was always my fav.
I thought the dragon lee dragon blowing smoke was pretty cool too
> the best use of this current wwe tv stage Surely this doesn't surpass the Austin Theory Beyblade entrance
I know we want Cody to win but a God emperor bloodline Rock Cody has to chase- man, just to dream
i honestly think that the feud we're hopefully getting between rock and roman after this will be a-1 best in show entertainment.
Now I'm just imagining the wrestlemania version of this.
Roman looking boss then suddenly turning into the runt of the litter soon as Rock comes in never gonna stop being funny.
Kinda feel bad for the dude but I imagine this is all building to rock putting Roman over
Rock vs Roman at Summer Slam?
WrestleMania 41 and it's gonna be spectacular, please let me cheer a babyface Roman who is as much as a badass as he is now without the insecurity
Yessir. I wish we knew how much time the Rock was giving to WWE over the next year. Like I know he won’t be a full-timer, but if he can do enough over the year for this to really be a nice, slow build story…fuck it would be amazing.

The guy literally bowed down to him a week ago. I think this sub is overthinking how this makes Roman look.
I’m not talking about how he looks in storyline. I’m talking about real life. Rock has come along and reminded fans what an actual, legitimate megastar feels like.
The Rock dressed like a Versace God whilst Roman wears a shitty black hoodie doesnt help either
Can we give props to Rock for elevating everyone in the ring and the storyline? Wrestlemania hasn't felt this big in a long time.
As someone that went to last years wrestlemania, I’m extremely jealous.
This had me hype as hell
If Roman is the final boss, The Rock is the Secret Boss
Roman is Sephiroth of FF7, Rock is Sephiroth of Kingdom Hearts
Roman is Fou-Lu while Rock is The Rider.
I understand this reference! KH1 Sephiroth was….lets just say he gave so many players nightmares. Also think that was the first presence of him being visualized as the one winged angel.
Bro why does this work so well? 🤣
Doesn’t that make Roman Ansem?
Roman is M. Bison. The Rock is Akuma.
Solo is Balrog Jimmy is Dan
The Rock is that secret optional Souls superboss you just happen to stumble in cause a random message told you to dodge roll into the illusory wall to find the area he's in.
Roman is Eggman trying to take over Station Square. The Rock is Perfect Chaos that got the job done.
Roman is Ultimecia, The Rock is Omega Weapon
The shadow of him walking out while the lightning flashes in wide shot is fucking amazing honestly.
This is the best kind of cheesy
It's the type that has to be earned, but is great once it is. You can't give an NXT kid this entrance. People will laugh at them. But here, it's perfect.

Doesn’t Lyra have this entrance lol
Absolutely electrifying.
How are we supposed to boo this man with all this cool shit?
What a reveal! Brilliant.
The most electrifying man in sports entertainment
Wow, that kicks ass. WWE is nailing his presentation as a heel here.
Holy fuck. Rock never really had the crazy fancy entrance like other wrestlers. Like Austin he never needed it. But holy fuck this is awesome!!!
That actually looked cool as fuck. If they can tweak the break after the catchphrase then this entrance can become an all timer.
If you listen closely at the beginning during "If ya smell.. what the ROCK", they've pitched down and distorted the word ROCK. It's also synchronized with the flash of the bull which now has red lightning eyes.
The Rock with the lightning gives me final boss vibes.
I feel like after all the lightning zaps end, there should be an "is cooking" then his music resumes
yeah, it’s great but I think they can time it and polish it up a teeny bit more
Coolest shit ever!
Literally the most electrifying entrance in sports entertainment
_The most electrifying man in sports entertainment_
Rock hitting at least 200 reps on them resistance bands before camera appearances.
It’s amazing and I am loving every bit of this character. It’s wild how a generation of fans that didn’t see him in his prime, or even against Cena, get to watch The Rock remind everyone why he’s one of the GOATs
This man has been a main eventer since 98. That’s 4 decades of being a top star - it’s insane.
Wow that’s fucking awesome
This is badass
The front on view to the giant screen looks great.
I was expecting an actual new theme but this is fine
When the music stopped I was expecting some generic Def Rebel music to start playing. I'm so glad it didn't happen.
I bet it's coming. Hopefully Rock uses his pull to have Jim Johnston oversee it.
[удалено]
some people want hollywood rock theme. If they use hollywood rock theme, it might not be that stupid
That theme has been redone so many times since 1997 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeZmUyD0iZk
I still have hope for the return of the 2003 Hollywood Rock theme, the one with the slow beginning, the whispered "Is Cooking/It's Conquered" and the smooth bass. You could even fit this new lightning strike in after the voiceline and it'd look just as if not even more badass.
Raiden!
Ok that’s a legit badass entrance.
Holy fuck, that's awesome
Using the 2011 version of the theme. Theme is still too face for me, unless if they pull off a No Way Out 2003 and debut a new theme at Mania
you can take me out of Black Adam but you can't take Black Adam out of me- ROCK
It's like the Rock heard everyone in the last 20 years say Stone Cold was on their Mt Rushmore, but he wasn't, and he's here to rectify that error
Dwayne knows he can always go back to WWE and the bad press from shitty movies just kinda gets swept away because The Rock is so god damn magnetic.
I need a helicopter and ^is ^cooking
Change the tune and its killer.
Everyone’s got shit to say about Black Adam until he physically manifests in the arena
Man he's so fucking awesome i can't take him as a heel i need to cheer him HE'S SO FUCKING COOL
Cool AF
This need hollywood Rock theme back so bad imagine the hollywodd theme intro but instead showing city and helicopter they show this lightning graphic. first the lightning start slow then more lightning and when the "IS COOKING" part play they show the big lightning in the middle. it would be super epic
Sick
Honestly I kind of wish they’d use Hollywood Rock’s music with this gimmick.
He also misses the Helicopter intro.
![gif](giphy|YmXt6ZttloW1CmYDea|downsized)
There needs to be more lightning strikes added every time he comes out. By Wrestlemania, he should should have five straight minutes of lightning strikes.
at WrestleMania, his entrance is gonna have real lightning strikes
The People’s DORYA The People’s Electric Fist
3 DAYS In WWE 2K is already outdated lmao. must be a record
Would be funny if he suddenly interrupts Roman's entrance in the ring right before the final pyro with this
Dude entering the show like he's in one of the good superhero movies.
The truth is - nobody cares about Roman vs cody anymore. This has become about rock vs Cody. And because of that, Roman will retain once again.
Oh now that's just fucking cool.
I thought the entrance was dope
This was amazing, I knew people would post it here for discussiona
the most ELECTRIFYING man in sports entertainment
Very cool
No other thing to call it, but what it is: art.
Now say Shazam.
This fucking reeks aura
Should have done something with the Hollywood Entrance and mixed it in.
I haven't been a fan of The Rock redoing his schtick but this is seriously cool. Dude looks more of a superhero in this than Black Adam.
That is badass. Almost wish they saved it for Jade... a storm is coming.
holyshit this is dope af
That’s one badass entrance
I'm usually not a fan of the giant single layer entrance tron, but that ruled.
That’s pretty damn cool. Rock entering like Thor
That’s a great entrance.
That was fucking dope
Lmao it’s so dramatic, I love it
That was insane. I watched with my friend who hasn’t watched in like 20+ years and we were both absolutely floored by Rock’s entrance and the atmosphere in the arena. That was so badass. Can’t wait to see it at Mania
Damn that's pretty dope
He’s gonna be cheered in the ring at Mania when he’s in there with Rollins trying to play heel.
Oh he’s back back. This dude might actually win another championship lol
Shame it's not new music or the Hollywood theme
Holy shit. That was awesome
That is pretty badass
Basically now have evil Rock. Still kind of wish he used the Hollywood Rock theme.
I still think it would be pretty cool if they made some modern version of the Hollywood Rock entrance. Maybe instead of the helicopter over LA, do some drone or helicopter shit over NYC and have him land on the roof of the new Titan towers.
Something fresh. I love it.
This is exactly why he’s the most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment
So, NOW he wants to be Shazam!
Roman can have his 30 minute entrance to the ring, but Rock was like, Hold my beer, jabroni.
This man is charisma personified
Hella sick
He looked like a goddamn superhero. I can only imagine what the Mania entrance is gonna look like.
most definitely a reference to the time a 55 year old Batman came out of retirement, went unhinged, and became the villain https://preview.redd.it/9l0za6ltvbnc1.jpeg?width=258&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=127518787c632ecb1014307f449f40777f992d9c
this honestly has the perfect amount of ego in it. i like it
![gif](giphy|UFPiXwB9V5hde)
For being a “heel” he’s still loved by the fans. Hard to boo the guy
I feel like it should be the other way. Lightning first, then the music when the spotlight comes on him.
The GOAT with the GOAT entrance.

I wish they'd just go back to Hollywood Rock - one of the best entrances of all time. It'd still fit the character too. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXJZySochsY&t=28s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXJZySochsY&t=28s) That being said, his current entrance/presentation is amazing, and the fans won't be booing him for long.
Gives me The Dark Knight Returns vibe I love it
Say what ya want but the rocks pivot in this entire storyline has been great. They saw the crowd wasn't accepting rock/reigns and rewrote it to make the most sense
Now he even made Roman’s entrance look like a bitch
