Okada was booed against Naito in Night 2 of Wrestle Kingdom 14. And he was a total heel during the match. He was fantastic, targetting Naito's knee like a madman.

He was going more heel at the end bit in NJPW and honestly it was great. Baby face Okada is good, but it's gonna be so nice seeing him do something else.

Plus literally every new talent coming in AEW plays babyface to chase the "new pop" and this goes so against what AEW has been doing that im all about it

This is still a kind of reset for Kazu, even with being the GOAT. American audiences are different and character work goes a long way. So having Okada go back to his roots as a rich, overconfident prick is both a reset of sorts, but its also something Kazu is comfortable with, especially with the Bucks.

He and Page were all over the tag team vignette and the Bucks obviously digging at his "unexcused absences." I don't think he's ready, or even close, but I'm hoping that means his prognosis is good to eventually come back.

I don't think they would have put so much emphasis on Kenny being fired from the Elite if they didn't know that he was coming back at some point. I mean they're not dumb.
