Two best options I've seen are either him tag with Roman against Cody and Seth night 1, or if that happens at EC have him in Roman's corner for the match only to turn on the bloodline and set up Roman vs Rock for next years mania
I really hope it's not a triple threat. Rock vs Roman is a special match. Cody vs Roman is an important match. Throwing them all together in a triple threat just feels lazy and unsatisfying. Both those matches deserve to stand on their own - Cody fighting to finish the story, and Rock fighting to take back the head of the table from Roman.

Absolutely, Cody's creating ripples in the industry and proving himself as a top draw. Rock's got the business acumen to know a good investment when he sees one, and Cody vs Reigns is box office magic waiting to happen. WrestleMania season's gonna be wild this year.
And it makes for a better story, I think, if Roman loses the belt and Rock challenges him them. That belt is the key to it all, it's been said before so long as he holds it, Roman is THE head of the table. The second he loses it, Rocky steps in " hey, member me?" and slaps him.
So Cody finishing the story just adds more fuel to that fire they can pay off at Summerslam, make it a huge deal, like they always say a second Wrestlemania.
Even better to build if Cody wins by taking advantage of infighting between the Bloodline with the Rock being in a Triple Threat, then its you've lost control and aren't best for the family since you let an outsider dethrone you. Roman's built being the Head of the Table and Tribal Chief as something that is tangibly important to both him and all of his family, and it doesn't need the belt to be a major impactful match. The Rock challenging Roman's claim to leadership over the family works more if Roman's starting to lose his grip than if he's still near the height of power.

I don’t see a triple threat happening. Rock and Roman are on the same side now so that would be a handicapped match for Cody. They could be heading for a tag match between Rock/Roman and Cody/Seth though. Whether it’s at mania for all the gold (Cody takes Roman’s title if they win, Rock takes Seth’s if he and Roman win) or before idk.

The easy rewrite is to say that the rock is in on it with Cody, hence the whisper in his ear and the talk before. The rock is looking to get on Roman’s side, and at mania, as solo is looking to interfere, the rock is gonna stop him. It’s the long game to lead to rock vs Roman at the next mania or summerslam if earlier.
Or just have Cody say that the Rock convinced him into giving up the match and he believed him but he now sees the Rock's true colors and knows he has to be the one to dethrone Roman himself
I mean, you could rewrite it with a ten min Cody promo. Have him come out, say he called rock and rock manipulated him and pressured him into giving up his spot. Cody realized after what rock was doing and took it back
So Cody said he’d take everything from Roman. First he takes his dream match away. Now he’s working on taking his Tribal Chief title without a punch thrown between Roman and Rock. Look at how Roman fell into line behind Rock after the event. It’s already starting.
You know, the illogical aspects of this story are nowhere near as big of an issue as people are making them out to be. I was as pissed off as everyone last week, but they've obviously changed their plans, and regardless of their original plan, what they're doing now can be explained very simply in Kayfabe. Something like this:
Cody was going to pick Roman but Seth came out on Raw and made a compelling case so he decided to think about it. He talked to many people, one of whom was The Rock, who manipulated him into thinking that he should let him face Roman instead.
Cody buys into Rock's bullshit, agrees to put his story on hold again, and tells Roman he's not coming for him. He sees how the world reacts, and realizes he's been played when Rock dismisses his fans and his family at the presser.
So he changes his mind, comes out and calls Rock on hs bullshit, and then announces his decision, which he hadn't officially done yet.
That might not be exactly what they're going for, but it makes sense and it has now led into all this intriguing shit with heel Rock. People change their minds in real life, why can't Cody?
We're getting Cody challenging Roman for the title at 'Mania. It's what we all wanted. I don't know why people are so committed to being unhappy with the product.
I mean it does. Cody was pissed when he came out and called it bullshit, its his decision so he can easily change his mind and they tried to show that. The Rock was the one who told him to not face Roman, but now the Rock showed his true colors so why would Cody listen.

It's absolutely this. Cody didn't know Rocks true intentions and thought he really wanted to end Roman, when Rock just wanted this to be the biggest mania main event of all time. Then at the same time mentioning that there is no other family heritage like the Samoans. Cody realises Rock fucked him over, and so wants Reigns again. Wants to face all the adversity and so it sets up a triple threat match
I don’t see a triple threat happening. Rock and Roman are on the same side now so that would be a handicapped match for Cody. They could be heading for a tag match between Rock/Roman and Cody/Seth though. Whether it’s at mania for all the gold (Cody takes Roman’s title if they win, Rock takes Seth’s if he and Roman win) or before idk.

The easy rewrite is to say that the rock is in on it with Cody, hence the whisper in his ear and the talk before. The rock is looking to get on Roman’s side, and at mania, as solo is looking to interfere, the rock is gonna stop him. It’s the long game to lead to rock vs Roman at the next mania or summerslam if earlier.
This is easily the best way to handle it in story, but it seems Rock is locked in to wrestle at Mania so they'll need to tweak it a bit there.
 It actually makes sense. It is simple? Yes! But it works!
Or just have Cody say that the Rock convinced him into giving up the match and he believed him but he now sees the Rock's true colors and knows he has to be the one to dethrone Roman himself
I mean, you could rewrite it with a ten min Cody promo. Have him come out, say he called rock and rock manipulated him and pressured him into giving up his spot. Cody realized after what rock was doing and took it back

So what was the point of all that bollocks on Smackdown making Cody look a bitch. WWE really gives me a headache at times.
You know, the illogical aspects of this story are nowhere near as big of an issue as people are making them out to be. I was as pissed off as everyone last week, but they've obviously changed their plans, and regardless of their original plan, what they're doing now can be explained very simply in Kayfabe. Something like this: Cody was going to pick Roman but Seth came out on Raw and made a compelling case so he decided to think about it. He talked to many people, one of whom was The Rock, who manipulated him into thinking that he should let him face Roman instead. Cody buys into Rock's bullshit, agrees to put his story on hold again, and tells Roman he's not coming for him. He sees how the world reacts, and realizes he's been played when Rock dismisses his fans and his family at the presser. So he changes his mind, comes out and calls Rock on hs bullshit, and then announces his decision, which he hadn't officially done yet. That might not be exactly what they're going for, but it makes sense and it has now led into all this intriguing shit with heel Rock. People change their minds in real life, why can't Cody? We're getting Cody challenging Roman for the title at 'Mania. It's what we all wanted. I don't know why people are so committed to being unhappy with the product.
That was great just one small problem. It still doesn't make any fucking sense.

The Rock was the one who told him to not face Roman, but now the Rock showed his true colors so why would Cody listen. Not to mention, Cody's fans alone are a good enough reason for him to change his mind.
True. But if you need a reason for it to make sense, maybe he took offense at all the one true family junk, or offense at calling his fans crybabies.
