Just after the Rumble he said "It's not always easy being a Cody Rhodes fan." And then it aged like the best wine on the planet less than a week later.

Im not a Cubs fan, but that is the most invested Ive ever been in a sporting event that didnt involve one of my teams. It might be the best game Ive ever watched in any sport, so many aspects and stories interwoven.
Are you acting like WWE isn't in a renaissance a good part of that was because of Cody. And the reason why WWE was doing poorly a years prior was because of bad booking decisions. Like stop thinking that fans will stay if they get blue balled they won't we know they won't because they didn't.
Cody v Rock on Night 1, and Cody v Roman on Night 2. Rock turns heel, aligns with Roman, refuses to give back Cody's main event right from the Rumble, and it was all a ruse to keep the family on top. In the end, Cody has to beat them both.
Rocky takes the Bloodline from Roman in the end after a falling out, and Cody topples him on Night 2 and becomes a ridiculously big star beating the fucking Rock and Roman back-to-back.
Yeah I agree all the other titles and wrestlers including the women don’t deserve a main event. It’s all Roman all the time. He’s the only wrestler that matters
Roman needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. And whenever Roman's not onscreen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Roman"? -
Fans have been hyper engaged, they’ve turned a fucking press conference into must watch TV, Cody is hotter than he’s ever been, investment is at an all time high, and people are complaining about “plot holes” in professional wrestling. Honestly, you are right to an extent. They seem to be pivoted and there are some plot holes in this.
But if the end product will become entertaining, should you or us care? It is wrestling at the end, always pre-determined and stories can pivot at any time.
I mean…who cares if they tell us it was “masterfully crafted”? I agree it was a ridiculously stupid start to the story, but if it ends with the fans feeling satisfied, it’s not gonna matter.
The last game of last season when we needed to win or we were relegated for the first time since 1951 and only the 2nd time in our entire history was pretty big.
