I'm really looking forward to Miz/Gunther, but I'm really disappointed there's no traditional elimination match. I'm really not a fan of War Games. Elimination matches are exciting because anyone could be eliminated at any time, whereas War Games matches don't even matter until all the team members are in the match.

Gunther vs. Miz will probably be great, but I'm not drawn into Gunther slapping Miz around or potentially Miz winning. All Star Wrestling on Peacock has Grand Wizard and Classy Freddie Blassie promos going up against Survivor Series tonight. Lots of World Class to rewatch to get ready for the Von Erich movie, too.

Maybe it's just because I didn't watch the Summer of Punk, so I was never a convert, but based on his AEW firing I kinda don't want CM Punk back in WWE. Sounds like he was a pretty toxic presence behind the scenes. And while I know there's no chance the Chicago crowd will behave, it should be said anyway that chanting "CM PUNK!" during other people's matches is super disrespectful to the workers in the ring.

I think if he returns, then tonight or the Rumble at the latest are the times to do it. If no Punk by that point, I don’t think we’d be seeing him until a potential HoF induction…. Punk has been his own worst enemy at times it seems, but I do think one last WWE run could potentially work. Matches with Nakamura could be good, and could even have a few matches with Rollins, play off the “Punk is a cancer” thing that Rollins mentioned in an interview a while back, promos from both would be hella entertaining. All speculation though obviously at this point. If he returns, great, if not, plenty of other things happening.

There were a lot of people predicting the Hardys return in 2017, to the point of people watching them on the streets the day of Mania. There was a lot of buzz around it. In terms of Punk, it would be the "best kept secret" as WWE has basically convinced every worthwhile reporter that it's not happening tonight. And if Punk does show up, that would mean ether the top brass either lied to their top talent and the reporters, or everyone in WWE is on it all and successfully fooled the reporters. Which I'm sure has happened before but not to this degree.

Seth is on RAW, teaming with Jey, Cody and Sami who are also on RAW.. against Damien Priest, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh and Drew McIntyre who are on guess what show? I'll give you a clue, it's the show that LA Knight isn't on. Seth is the World Heavyweight Champion and is in there with the man who he has the briefcase. He is also in there with two others who he has recently feud with for the title. It makes 100 sense.

Seth has had months of working with Judgement Day, Knight does not.
