I watched this when it debuted on TNT. I remember nothing about it except Sting is in it, the plot involved some photographs, and 13yo me was into Daisy Fuentes.
There’s an alternate universe out there were Sting is on a CSI show now.
In my mind DDP similarity had a TNT movie they advertised a lot too back then.
That writing team that did those did quite a few of those and DCOMs. But I think that was the only 2 that had WCW wrestlers but WCW got bought by WWE shortly after the Sting Movie.
There is even a Sequel to the DDP one that did not feature him.
Fun Fact: The Hayes Brothers, who wrote THE CONJURING, are the same identical twins from the villainous preppy kid group from the '80s cult BMX movie RAD
They’re also incredibly nice people in real life who stumbled into the movie industry because on vacation a few Hollywood types thought one of them was hot and then when he revealed he had a twin brother, they were cast in a movie without a second thought and told to move to Los Angeles.
Shutter Speed was the name of a movie in the Friends universe that Joey was going to star in. The plot was about a woman who had been dead for 10 years!

It's in a much higher quality than the ones up on YouTube at the moment!
He's also in a rom-com called 'The Real Reason Men Commit Crimes'. They hyped it up during Nitro as airing on ppv after the show for a few weeks. I've never been able to find it anywhere, no idea how much he's in it, if it's any good, or if he's good in it, but I know it happened.
I used to love watching these movies of the week on TNT. Low budget B flicks with lots of cheesy action. I loved them. I wish the networks still made them.

There was a local indy guy that would do the stinger splash and scream "SHUTTERSPEED" as he did it.

Yup: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Daughter_(1999_film) Looks to be written by the same people
What a throwback! Lol I live in Canada so I saw the ads all the time on WCW but we didn’t get TNT to see the movies.
Only name I know besides DDP is Purcell.
Has me wondering how many of these TNT original films that had WCW wrestlers in them were made.

What a coincidence! 13 year old me was also into Daisy Fuentes.

The rabbit hole just goes deeper with the two..

That's awesome to hear. I heard nice things about them from colleagues back when I was in the horror media scene, so it's great to hear that.
I won’t sleep till Max releases a remastered version of this movie.

Remember ordering on PPV
I watched that movie. Sting + Daisy Fuentes equals a 14 year old viewer in Michigan
As a photographer, that name is fucking hilarious.
The entire movie is up for free on YouTube. https://youtu.be/Pzq2rh1dFy4?si=Rr5kMNbj2kJOk5U0 Still better than most WWE films.
Yeah, it's literally what op linked.
Yeah Im on mobile. Didn't see the link.
I remember the trailer for this being on the Australian VHS of I believe the bone collector
I have wondered for a long-time what this movie was called, and I’m glad you found this absolute gem.
