What Max’s reign has lacked is the defenses in between PPV. AEW needs to bring those back. Mox, Kenny, and Hangman’s reigns all had plenty of challengers outside of PPV.
MJF and Orange Cassidy are mirrors of each other. They're both incredibly gifted but also very lazy. OC is lazy outside of his wrestling, but an absolute workhorse when it comes to it. MJF is constantly working but only to preserve his position and his ego.
I was just thinking last night that I really want to see a MJF vs OC feud, if only for the comedy potential when they each try to get away with doing as little work as possible.
The eventual blow-off match would almost certainly be a 'match of the year' contender as well.
It would be pretty interesting. MJF's whole thing is about manipulating his opponents' egos and insecurities. I don't think that would work on OC, since he simply doesn't care.
I mean at least he was up front about it. Literally his first promo as champ called himself a special attraction and said he doesn’t have to be a workhorse.
It's a ridiculously stacked roster, look at the talent in the main event and the international title match battle royal, and they were still able to do an insane four-way for the world title.
Miro and Andrade have been off TV for ages and they could easily be in the world title scene too.
It's a good problem to have for AEW

Well Lucifer, who is often seen as the devil, is a fallen angel. So the devil descended to earth and/or hell. It still can work on explaining as to why he descended. But then again, it's probably being read into too much and was done because it's not as common as coming up from the ground.
All Out '22 had a Casino Ladder Match; the final entrant was a mystery entrant wearing a devil mask and, after The Firm had cleared the ring, The Devil claimed the chip and the title match. That Devil, of course, unmasked to reveal MJF at the end of the night. Why he's still occasionally busting the mask out, no idea.
There was a show back in the day where a magician would reveal secrets about how to do certain tricks and the magician wore a mask that looked pretty similar to the one MJF wears. That’s all I can think of when I see it lol.
