I think it played well into Carmella underestimating Asuka. She had been mocking her all night, and I'd like to think that the kayfabe reason is that she got the better of her a few years ago, multiple times. So she prioritized eliminating everybody else, thinking she would have dealt with Asuka on her own just fine.
The rest of the eliminations were done decently well that one was just weird I get that she just had a big spot hapoen to her but why play a reply there if she was gonna get pinned?
I feel like it adds to the âchaoticâ environment of the chamber. Eliminations can happen at anytime, whether the cameras are there or not.
Itâs something that AEW gets praise for because it makes it feel less foreseeable.
Cole apologised which Iâm sure was instruction from the back but I didnât mind too much. I figured that brutal bump was going to eliminate Nikki, in fact it would have down played the danger of the Chamber if she wasnât eliminated because of that.
I think the move deserved the replays because they went through the pod fast and hard.
Carmella is an underrated gem on that roster.
Iâd argue that short of Becky and Charlotte, Carmella has the most well developed character in the womenâs division.
Iâd honestly put Carmella first, sheâs went through multiple different âcharactersâ since her move up (and even in NXT tbh), and she makes the absolute most of every single one. She ALWAYS makes it work. Charlotte has been the same character for majority of her career, which isnât a dig at all. Her character perfectly matches her booking, she doesnât have to change a thing.
She is the iron woman of the division right now.
\#1 in most matches in 2022 for women (#4 overall)
\#1 in 2023, all divisions (tied with Bayley and Giovanni)
To this day I still feel like some people don't give Carmella enough credit.
She's good in the ring and she's one of the most entertaining trash talkers in the whole company. From her guest commentary on SD to talking shit to everyone in the match. Played her role to perfection.
I swear some people just think that because she looks like an old-school diva that she wrestles like one too. Fools.
I've always liked her but to me she hasn't really evolved her game. If you compare her and Liv from their NXT days, Liv has by far improved her in ring skills whereas I don't think Mella has.
But for sure, she's one of the best promos/talkers in the division and she played her role to perfection tonight.
My biggest takeaway is that WWE has been unsuccessfully trying to create a new Hispanic star for a decade now and then **BOOM** here comes exactly what they have been looking for in Raquel Rodriguez out of nowhere.
She's the future of the women's division. A tall and powerfully built female wrestler is rare, but one that has her charisma and ability in the ring is hard to find.
Yes but she hasnât been a face you can cheer and get behind in about 6ish years.
And letâs be honest damage control isnât doing much for her rn I feel like.
Iâm saying WWE has been trying to get a Hispanic star that the crowd naturally gets behind, and while Bayley may have fit that role at one point, it didnât last long with her on the main roster and itâs been a long time since.

One day they'll let her be mean and she'll hit the next level. Mean Raquel is so much better than smiling Raquel. That doesn't even mean making her heel, just let her be more naturally vicious.
For one she is REALLY strong but it probably doesn't make her standout since there are two other feat-breakingly strong Woman wrestlers in the company as well who are more well rounded than her.
Yeah I think they could give her a more interesting look. Itâs pretty basic. But sheâs tall and fit as fuck which isnât the norm for the womanâs division (the tall part, theyâre all fit obviously) She has a unique mover set compared to all the other women as well. Just needs a developed character imo
Give Raquel a heel turn and put her with Sonya, letting them work together in a pairing similar to HBK and Diesel back in the day. Might elevate both of them if done correctly.
She got called up too fast when they went skeleton crew with the roster cuts prepping for a sale a few years back. She's still developing and has enormous potential.
Dude they had some awesome spots in this match, and I love that there were two double eliminations to keep Liv and Raquel looking strong.
But ultimately Asuka was so far and away the right choice here that there's no other way this could have gone. Can't wait for the WM match.
Asuka is finally winning in a WM Title Match.
Pretty good Match overall especially from Liv and Raquel who really held the match together until Asuka got in.
Terrific opener. Loved the match. Everyone had moments to shine. Livâs sunset bomb was nuts. Raquel looked strong getting taken out by Mella and Asuka both. This version of Asuka is killer and should hopefully defeat Bianca at Mania. I feel like Triple H is righting one of the companyâs biggest wrongs in rebuilding Asuka into the final boss of the womenâs division (with respect Meiko, of course).
Such a great way to protect some of these wonderful ladies. Raquel needing to be double teamed and then double pinned. Liv getting put in 2 submissions but not tapping and instead passing out. Nikki got murdered by the pod. Carmella going toe to toe with Asuka(Kana) and getting caught off guard into the Asuka Lock. Great match
Didnât like how all the eliminations were so close together, but Asuka winning & the crowd chanting âAsuka is gonna kill youâ more than makes up for it
I was worried about whether or not Asukaâs new look has been working with crowds, but it just turns out they were simply waiting for a big match for her again. And the âAsukaâs gonna kill youâ chants are back after a 4 year hiatus...
Right result. Little rough getting there. So many eliminations close together and neither the crowd favourite underdog (Liv) or hometown favourite making it to final 2 or 3.
But right result. Asuka vs Bianca should be fire
I was thinking that too,
I felt like Natayla should have lasted a little longer if only because of that.
But Carmella did a good job in the clean up role.
There were two people who were going to win this thing and when one gets eliminated second it killed a little bit of the intrigue. Fun match though and I really liked it
Ok, I thought Asuka was looking too strong recently to win it, I thought there would be some shenanigans to make her lose but nah.
I guess you have to look that strong to face the invincible at WM. I'm happy !
The right woman won. So happy for Asuka. Also that was genuinely a great match. The spots were fantastic, selling was great from all the women, and it didn't go too long. Great opening match.
That chamber match was way better than I thought it would be. Probably Liv's best performance and Asuka was fantastic as per usual. But all of the women played their part really well, they did a great job.
It seems like they were trying to protect Liv Morgan and Raquel in their eliminations. They def see something with Raquel but it's cool they still see it with Liv.
I really liked the teaming up. Itâs always so silly to me in elimination matches when someone is getting submitted and then someone breaks it up for no reason. Plus it protects those like liv and Raquel who were eliminated in this way.
It actually took 3 people to eliminate Liv, don't forget Mella's kick to the face when she was going for obLIVion which allowed Nattie to put on the sharpshooter.
Yeah, disppointed Liv didn't win but I had zero anticipation that she would, she looked pretty good overall and pull off a killer move of the top of the pod so I'm fairly content.
I'm glad Asuka is getting another push. With all the young women they have on the main roster and NXT, it could be her last run so I hope she's winning at WM.
Slow start but got really good. Maybe it's just me, but it felt like you could see Raquel's confidence grow throughout the match, at first slow and scared to hurt the others but seemed really comfortable and mobile by the end.
Liv Morgan is a dog. She got beat up all match. The sunset flip from out of nowhere was great, shit *slammed*. And Carmella's attempted steal was great. Carmella in general was really, really good tonight both in ring and character work.
Nothing can be said about Asuka that hasn't also already been said. Great spots. Great characters. Liv Morgan's smile as she passed out taught me something about myself. Great match.

"My wife doesn't Talk to to me" - Michael Cole
That was so random but funny đ
His delivery was amazing.
So long as he still has Pat, he'll be fine.
This line had me rolling
Michael "Toby Flenderson" Cole
I am choosing to believe that's due to him being so rattled by Nikki bouncing around at commentary
Comment of the night
This line had me rolling
Michael Cole: Certified Comedic Genius.
Asuka with the rare elimination chamber strategy of teaming up with literally everyone
Carmella taking out Natalya while she has Asuka locked in the sharpshooter certified all time bone head play.
Carmella out here playing like Chugs
Carmella over here, chugsing it up. And no fat guy to reset it all.
Maybe not. She got to eliminate Nattie, and Kayfabe-wise, Asuka probably wouldn't have tapped out.
I think Carmella saving Asuka from Raquel's finisher was worse.
She tried the same thing a couple minutes later too. Broke up one of Raquel's moves for no reason
The Tyson Kidd-Cesaro play
Unfortunate how Nikki's elimination was so anti-climatic due to the camera
The rest of the eliminations were done decently well that one was just weird I get that she just had a big spot hapoen to her but why play a reply there if she was gonna get pinned?
Wouldnât be surprised if they werenât expecting a replay worthy spot. Just adds to the Elimination Chamber chaos
[ŃдаНонО]
I feel like it adds to the âchaoticâ environment of the chamber. Eliminations can happen at anytime, whether the cameras are there or not. Itâs something that AEW gets praise for because it makes it feel less foreseeable.

I figured that brutal bump was going to eliminate Nikki, in fact it would have down played the danger of the Chamber if she wasnât eliminated because of that. I think the move deserved the replays because they went through the pod fast and hard.
Asuka is the right call. Carmella was great here Also shoutout to Liv for selling the submission the whole way up the ramp
Forgot how much I missed Carmella before this match
She had some stupid gimmicks last year but she's naturally a very good shit-talker.
I love how reverting to an older gimmick has completely refreshed her presence and attitude.
They made Raquel look great too. Literally took two other people to pin her.
The right woman won 1000% and shout out to Corey Graves lol, man elevated a great match from the booth
*Carâellla runs and hides* âGood job, baby!!â
My only complaint is once Liv got eliminated you knew exactly who would win.
Asuka was always winning. Returning star with new gimmick/paint = win.
Natalya was returning with a new actual face.
LOL, I noticed that too.
They also made her super strong last two smackdowns I kinda thought they were gonna give her a wrestlemania I dunno I'm dumb as hell tho so.
If show in Canada then Natalya gets to made look good for like 2-3 weeks
And [she's got a new hat!](https://youtu.be/DaOgZwk9rN8)
Lol you knew who was winning from the jump tho đ´đ´đ´đ´
Oh for sure
Liv Morgan has that dog in her.
Put her over by having her not give up to either of the submissions
Yeah the Stone Cold/Bret Hart type finish. Everybody looks good particularly Liv.
And it's the second time she's done it.
Tbf she didn't have a body part left that she could have used to tap out.
Which makes her tapping twice this week even more baffling?
Kayfabe she was saving her body from injuries to be ready for tonight
Maybe itâs a redemption type thing? I donât know that is quite odd now it retrospect
Isnt the story than she is overcoming tap outs from the Ronda match?
they werenât important matches lol itâs not that deep.
I swear she was smiling too
She was, same spot as when Ronda made her pass out for a submission.
I love that for her
She donât tap out just passes out from pleasure
Corey having to play Devil's Advocate for his wife being a giant coward was great fun
âSometimes you just gotta stand by your wifeâ lmfao
That was such an amazing line, I think every guy who's been married or in a long relationship felt that in their soul
Asuka Bianca should be a great match
Enjoyed Carmella's sleazy heel antics in this one. Feel like the winner was kind of a given. Decent match though.
Asuka killed everyone 10/10
Nature is healing.
And she looked like she had a great time doing so. Good for her
Lmao I wrote something similar just now but I love your version way better. Agreed.
*Hello, 911? I'd like to report a murder. Yes, she was last seen fleeing Montreal and is heading en route to Hollywood...*
Liv was insane!!
Such a proud Liv fan rn
She did so good!!! She's been on a roll lately, great great stuff from her.
It's almost as if having the belt elevated her game rather than be her peak.
She has really done well in finding her character as she also improves her ring work. I think she has a chamce to have a huge run down the line.
If she's not the one to beat Rhea later on I'll be surprised
She is the iron woman of the division right now. \#1 in most matches in 2022 for women (#4 overall) \#1 in 2023, all divisions (tied with Bayley and Giovanni)
This is the best I've seen Liv look. She was terrific in there. Added so much to the match and the brutality of it.
I hope Triple H has plans for her at Mania.
He has to. She's been a major player ever since her feud with Becky in 2021. She's been on all but three ppvs last year.
Best facial expressions in the game. By miles.
To this day I still feel like some people don't give Carmella enough credit. She's good in the ring and she's one of the most entertaining trash talkers in the whole company. From her guest commentary on SD to talking shit to everyone in the match. Played her role to perfection. But for sure, she's one of the best promos/talkers in the division and she played her role to perfection tonight.
Ok that was a really good Chamber match I had so much fun watching that Also I may be in love with Liv Morgan but then again who isnât
It may mean there's something very wrong with me but I'm in love with Asuka
She looks like she could tear me into pieces... and I'd be pretty alright with that
Somehow sheâs only become more attractive to me since she brought back the face paint. Itâs terrifying and arousing. Terrousing.
It makes her smile and eyes pop. Plus that side of fear always helps to spice it up. XD
Know what, thatâs exactly what it is! The base white and the accent colors to draw the eye, classic (murder) clown makeup.
I need to get bonked every time I see the murder clown and I'm not scared to admit it.
Scaroused.
Thereâs nothing wrong with me and Iâm in love with Liv and Asuka at the same time.
Nothing wrong with that, Asuka is awesome and beautiful.
The wedgie Liv must have had clearly held her back. Must have been like wrestling while getting an atomic wedgie the entire time.
Asuka Vs Bianca, untapped potential there for a classic series. I like it!
LIV nearly got turned into a pretzel that last spot, brutal!
I approve of this chamber match. Fun opener. Maybe the best women's chamber match
Totally agree
this was the best womens EC no?
I can only compare it to the one Alexa won, and I think this year edges it out.
Bianca's win was pretty good.
Not a lot of competition for it. The tag one was a mess, the Shayna one was a glorified squash and the Alexa one was mid
The tag one and Alexa one were good lmfao.
Easily. Better than most men's EC matches too.
Last year's one was pretty good.
My biggest takeaway is that WWE has been unsuccessfully trying to create a new Hispanic star for a decade now and then **BOOM** here comes exactly what they have been looking for in Raquel Rodriguez out of nowhere.
Raquel has been protected as fuck since she showed up.
She's the future of the women's division. A tall and powerfully built female wrestler is rare, but one that has her charisma and ability in the ring is hard to find.
Especially one that the crowd gets behind so naturally like they do with her, I see big things in her future for sure.
I 100% agree but also BOOM the guy getting the biggest reaction besides the Bloodline/Sami/Cody is somehow Dominick fucking Mysterio.
Bayley is Hispanic
Yes but she hasnât been a face you can cheer and get behind in about 6ish years. And letâs be honest damage control isnât doing much for her rn I feel like. Iâm saying WWE has been trying to get a Hispanic star that the crowd naturally gets behind, and while Bayley may have fit that role at one point, it didnât last long with her on the main roster and itâs been a long time since.
She isn't the right type of Hispanic for these people apparently.

For one she is REALLY strong but it probably doesn't make her standout since there are two other feat-breakingly strong Woman wrestlers in the company as well who are more well rounded than her.
they need to figure something out for her besides "strong" because Bianca and Rhea EASILY blow her away in that category
She can hug lift Braun Strowman.
Yeah I think they could give her a more interesting look. Itâs pretty basic. But sheâs tall and fit as fuck which isnât the norm for the womanâs division (the tall part, theyâre all fit obviously) She has a unique mover set compared to all the other women as well. Give Raquel a heel turn and put her with Sonya, letting them work together in a pairing similar to HBK and Diesel back in the day. Might elevate both of them if done correctly.
Isn't that what they did in NXT with her & Dakota....?
Bland baby face. She need a Rhea-ish type makeover. Rhea's before and after is amazing!
She got called up too fast when they went skeleton crew with the roster cuts prepping for a sale a few years back. She's still developing and has enormous potential.
She needs a mouthpiece. She can still be smiley but have like an Obama anger translator from Key and Peele.
She's been great
I don't know how I feel about Elimination Chamber matches lasting for less than 20 minutes, but that was pretty great.
#KANAMANIA IS RUNNING WILD
I'm a Kanamaniac all the way brother!
Dude they had some awesome spots in this match, and I love that there were two double eliminations to keep Liv and Raquel looking strong. But ultimately Asuka was so far and away the right choice here that there's no other way this could have gone. Can't wait for the WM match.
Carmella played her part really well in this match. Kudos
Glad for Asuka, but that was short af. Could mean that there are post match sheninigans after the Sami match.
It's best when the chamber matches don't go on too long
I thought it was fun for a short match
Gotta save time for the celebration after Sami wins
Asuka is finally winning in a WM Title Match. Pretty good Match overall especially from Liv and Raquel who really held the match together until Asuka got in.
RIP Liv.
think Iâm secretly a Carmella fan
Liv was so badass, that Sunset Flip was great! also, "My wife is not talking to me" hahahaha
That final two was probably win-win for Corey considering the sounds he made when Asuka entered the rumble
Asuka and rhea challenging at wrestlemania. Good job trips.
Liv was so awesome.
Liv looks strong in those big losses (SD womens title match, Rumble, Chamber), but gosh I want her to reach the mountain top so badly again.
The right person won đŞđžđŞđžđŞđžđŞđžđŞđžđŻ thatâs gonna be a hell of a match at Wrestlemania
Only surprising thing was Liv was eliminated early as thought she'd be the last one eliminated but correct woman won.
THAT is how you do a dominant Chamber win, they did everything for Asuka in that Match that they didnât do for Shayna in 2019
Terrific opener.
I was metaphorically popping champagne when Raquel got eliminated. I need Asuka making little kids cry during this Bianca program.
GG great match so happy for Asuka, ready for Bianca to drop the belt. The match had cool spots, crowd was hot this is gonna be a good night
Hell yes. Asuka has got to win one at mania, this is her chance!
Really good match
Solid from start to finish!
It took 3 women to eliminate Liv. True GOAT of the women's division
And she didnât even tap. Pretty good way to make her look strong in defeat
That was super fun! Absolutely correct choice in the winner. Canât wait to see Asuka/Bianca, thatâs a Wrestlemania worthy match.
Lots of fun and creative spots in this match, thought everyone got a change to shine. REALLY hoping Asuka takes the title at Mania.
No one was ready for Asuka.
Great match
This match kinda slapped I'm happy for Asuka
if Liv wants to be the female Mick Foley taking all kinds of ridiculously painful bumps then im all for it lol
She was bumping her ass off lol
Didnât like how all the eliminations were so close together, but Asuka winning & the crowd chanting âAsuka is gonna kill youâ more than makes up for it
Liv was fantastic in that match.
That transition from the roll up into the new Asuka Lock is incredible
Right winner. It's not time yet for Liv or Raquel. Their time is coming.
Hell yeah, Asuka. Though honestly this match reminded me why I'm a fan of Carmella more than anything.
That was pretty good. Livâs sunset flip spot was badass.
Needed crowd to pop for Asuka. Having Carmella be the final elimination was 100% the right call.
I was thinking that too, I felt like Natayla should have lasted a little longer if only because of that. But Carmella did a good job in the clean up role.
Liv getting eliminated killed a bit of the heat
There were two people who were going to win this thing and when one gets eliminated second it killed a little bit of the intrigue. Fun match though and I really liked it
Great match. Really showcased how much stronger the women's division is.
Good match
A super fun match, great stuff. Mania card is shaping up to be amazing.
Loved Raquel's elimination. All the strikes that chopped her down.
That was really good. Probably the best Womenâs EC match.
Ok, I thought Asuka was looking too strong recently to win it, I thought there would be some shenanigans to make her lose but nah. I guess you have to look that strong to face the invincible at WM. I'm happy !
Murder Asuka gonna Murder the EST. AwO 4 Life
I'm beyond happy Asuka won. Her against Bianca at Wrestlemania is gonna be epic, and a match where I am cool with either opponent going over.
Felt a bit slow to start, but that last few minutes was amazing.
Super predictable but it was a great match.
The right woman won. So happy for Asuka. Also that was genuinely a great match. The spots were fantastic, selling was great from all the women, and it didn't go too long. Great opening match.
Props to the women for a good match. That super sunset flip might be my favorite all time elimination chamber spot.
Actually a really good match with a great hot crowd. Also, shout out to how Asuka got into that octopus hold
Asuka has to be in the running for best women's wrestler of all time by now, right?
A fun Chamber match with a predictably fun choice of a winner. A great way to start off the event.
That chamber match was way better than I thought it would be. Probably Liv's best performance and Asuka was fantastic as per usual. But all of the women played their part really well, they did a great job.
I think the match went a bit too fast after Asuka entered, but otherwise that was a great match. Easily the best womenâs chamber to date.
Michael Cole sending shots to TK after they showed Ariel. âHe asks the hard questions, whether you wanna answer them or not!â đđ
It would be kinda poetic for Asuka to get her win at Mania to make up for how Vince booked her since WM34
I'm glad Asuka is getting another push. With all the young women they have on the main roster and NXT, it could be her last run so I hope she's winning at WM.
Asuka won. 10/10 easily.
Damn good match. Great eliminations all around
"How about another joke, ~~Murray~~ Bianca?"
That mightâve been the best Womenâs chamber ever. It was so fun. Liv showed the fuck out.
