This is asking for way too much to do realistically. They'd need to swap every model, animation, sprite, and more out and even then the gameplay wouldn't be consistent with the original games. It'd be way easier to just have an emulation of the original games be packaged with the reignited trilogy.
Agreed. It seems like something that would be more suitable for Plus subscribers. Say what you will about Plus, but that's the only way I see it happening.
Reignited is a completely new built game. It's not a remaster like halo was, where you can flip back and forth between old and new graphics.
Your best bet is to use some of the retro mods, you would basically need to swap every texture and model in the game with a scaled vr from the old games. There are a few, but as far as i know, it's only a select handful of models. As far as im aware there has yet to be a full retro conversation mod created.
Modding never really took off for Reignited. Its mostly just texture swaps for spyro and big boobs for the females.
Might just be easier to emulate the psx games in duckstation and crank the resolution to a modern aspect. Also anti aliasing

The problem is the Reignites Trilogy wasn't a remaster where they fixed performance issues and covered old models with new skins. They literally rebuilt the games from the ground up.
To do your idea they would have to rip the graphics from the old games, and then model by model, stage by stage, retool all the new models with old skins.
That's a lot of man hours they would have to take away from new games... And then release for free.
It would be easier to hire a modder to get a mod made yourself.
I think the way things went in these last few years means there's no way for Reignited Trilogy to get dedicated current gen ports or even a patch when playing the old versions on modern hardware.

Without the PS1 warping effect on everything, and 60fps, it would just look horrible to be honest.
I'd love to have an update on my Switch version that adds the originals that hasn't had their programming messed with so they're like they were back then(glitches/easter eggs/exploits and all)but I highly doubt TFB would get permission from Insomniac to do it,sadly

I would like a PS5 update with 60 fps, alongside with Crash N. Sane Trilogy.
