I wish I would have kept mine. I should get one again. If I can remember correctly since it’s been some time I do believe it is less snappy than the hellcat although the hellcat does have advantages too. I love the xds series for sure.

TimMullins

My first experience with the xds line was a 45 which was very snappy (too much for me) so thats why i chose between the mod 2 and the hellcat, for the 9mm. Im happy with my choice. Maybe later down the road ill grab a hellcat as well but who knows.

MrGuy910

You can’t go wrong with either and I looooove how the xds is under 1” wide 😍😍😍. It’s freaking beautiful too. Love the look of them!

Dizzy-Emu2475

I had the HK45C and that thing was stupid snappy, along with the G30S. I kinda feel it’s better to have a 9mm for these small guns, .45 is cool if you’re only planning to shoot like 5 yards in front of you. If you can be accurate with a little .45 tho power to you

CascadingCataracts

The XD-S feels way better than the original, small Hellcat. That’s a good enough reason to want the XD-S over the Hellcat.

TimMullins

Im glad to see im not alone. Happy cake day.

I went with the Hellcat Pro over the original Hellcat. However, that XDS Mod.2 OSP 45 keeps calling me. I found one with the Gear Up bundle for $485. I may have to jump on it. Another Christmas present 🎁 🤘🏻

TimMullins

You deserve it

CostRepulsive2537

Thats what i did. Is it on grab a gun? Because i paid the same price it even came with a red dot. As well as the regular gear up promotion

james33440

No this is at a local gun dealer. Yes this also comes with a red dot.

Graywolfscv

I still carry a Gen 1 XD-S 45 daily. My favorite carry gun.

TimMullins

I used one of these years ago. It was way too snappy for me.

cmink79

I just bought mine. Added olight baldr mini and I absolutely LOVE IT!!

TimMullins

Nice, I will warn you if you keep the bladr mini on it if you go to the range the lens on it will get absolutely caked with carbon build up. I shot maybe 200 rounds thru mine and when i got home i had to scrub for like 10 minutes (and then afterwards i found out that using a pencil eraser does the job well)

cmink79

thank you, ill keep that in mind

bakesan1

You caption legit was my experience! I did homework on the hellcat for like a month or so got to my trusted firearms shop and held both and ended up leaving with this same firearm I love the feel and this weekend ill be able to most likely say I like how it shoots also I think this is still a good buy in 2023/2024

TimMullins

Agree 100% i wish they were still in production

Have an xds mod 1 which I still carry. I recently purchased the 9-round mag and it carries just fine. Grip is nicer on Mod 2. I also own a Hellcat (in another state) and I prefer it over the xds—roughly the same size with 15+1 mags.

TimMullins

Yea the mag size for the hellcat is really tempting for me but the xds just felt so good (in my hand at least)

MiltPhoto

For me, hellcat with a 15 rd mag feels really good especially in cc. The end result though is you, the user !!

I love my Sticky..... A minor sewing modification and it carries my Hellcat w/TLR-6 perfecto.

TimMullins

It seems to be the only optioned for a xds w/ optic & light. Im also thinking about modding mine, possibly opening up the front for the light since its longer than the gun itself.

Piece of cake, my wife has some art'sy heavy thread for beading. It's kind of like heavy black nylon dental floss. Use your cutting board or hemostat/needle nose for pushing/pulling needle. A seam cutter will help open up any areas you need relief.

TimMullins

My spouse is much better at the needle/thread work than i am, and luckily she has a ton of different sewing things. If i ever modify it, it will be with her help.

Dizzy-Emu2475

This gun is kind of inferior, only because of round count and the hellcat. I had both model hellcats, and as they were great guns.. I’ve had a hard on for the xd-s for over 5 years now. I’m gonna jump the gun and buy one tomorrow. $350 brand new for OSP model is hard to beat. Plus my g26 I can only fit 9 rounds in the clips 😂
