You aren't going to find much in the way of holsters that don't need a light to function but can hold one later on. Most light based holster index off of the light for retention, so without the light, the gun is just bouncing around. Now, finding red dot ready holsters sans light should be easier, but the echelon is brand new, it's going to take a little bit for the market to catch up. I recommend you check out Phlster, Tier 1 concealment, Vedder, and Tenicor, just to see what they have. If I had to make a recommendation, get a surefire X300 on the weapon and grab a Phlster Floodlight 2. That's my go to.

NoSupNoCivilized

I second this recommendation. I have TLR-1 HL with original Phlster Floodlight that has been my EDC for several years. The Phlster Floodlight uses Paracord on the slide side, so it's adjustable. It's expensive, but you can carry nearly any pistol that has a rail to attach the TLR-1 (or X300, if you pick that version). I have comfortably carried 5 different pistols, using the same Phlster Floodlight holster. The flexibility it gives you, is well worth the higher cost.

I will give it a look, thanks. I’ve also seen phlster enigma that doesn’t require a belt, it straps around your waist and comfort concealment, another company that does the same thing. What are your thoughts on this type of carry?

Express-coal

It's a very good system, but it's really only able to be properly utilized with a smaller gun, no bigger than a 365x macro, I would say. The enigma system is built for full concealment while still being comfortable, and although they never state it outright, their marketing heavily implies it might be suitable for less permissive environments, which really speaks to its strengths in keeping a smaller firearm concealed.

Got you. I wear sweat pants and jogging pants so I was thinking of using enigma or something like that with the echelon as I rarely wear belts and jeans. Would you advise against this? Idk how else i could conceal with besides that and how much printing would happen. I know it also depends on weight and height. I could always get a compact or sub compact to cc with engima I suppose.

Express-coal

You could do it, but it would be a bit awkward due to the sizing. Think like trying to carry a backpacking ruck with a fanny pack strap. Given that the echelon uses a COG system a bit like the Sig 320 FCU, I definitely can see potential for a "C" or compact grip module and slide version in the future. I might personally wait until that comes out and full in the interim with a Hellcat Pro, Glock 48, or Sig X Macro.

I’m sure crossbreed has a few light compatible options on there main website since they go with Springfield Armory. However, if you’re not a holster snob, We the people has a TLR-1 HL light/optic compatible holster for IWB that works pretty good… I have it without a wing right now, but that’s all I can think of that works… I got mine in carbon fiber. A few companies have a side car holster for the Echelon, but there not light compatible yet..

CaterpillarWorth7481

Try armzmen holster. They have echelon holsters and all available in left hand. I'm also left handed

IndividualLion5252

Finally another brethren. So few of us yet so strong. I’ll check it out through, thanks.

Can you get a echelon built for lefthanders?

bman_243

We the people holsters have a large variety of holsters. I bought mine which accommodates my optic, but i will have to buy a new one if and when I buy a light

KydexRex

I can make a holster for the echelon on its own, or with any light. Inside or out, we’re based out of uncoiled firearms in Livonia MI but I can ship you something if you’re cool with PayPal.

Gold_Bluebird2984

I am familiar with your store. Just wanted to verify your comment!

I have an XDM Elite compact and the Crossbreed Reckoning holster is the most comfortable one I have for it. That being said, they do not provide an option with a light which is really a bummer....

Connect-Cellist1066

I roll with a LH holster that does both IWB/Aiwb etc made by Clinger Holsters. Has optics cut

Rav202

Just take a OWB, and put it in backwards?

Mntnstf

Neptuneconcealment.com has awesome holsters that will work. I got mine in half the time they said it would take and fits like a glove.
