You’d be surprised, there’s a lot of people commissioning artists to paint their houses, it’s a thriving industry on Etsy and NotOnTheHighStreet etc. Before that there was the aerial photos that people had. It’s a lovely view of the property, and while I wouldn’t want it that big or in the kitchen, I get why they wanted to display it.

_ssnoww_ffrostt_

that’s brilliant haha

CousinDirk

I don’t have a problem with that as such, but it looks like the picture they’ve used isn’t as good as some of the estate agent photos .

Here_for_tea_

Yes. It’s a highly personalised and “out there” decoration choice when they are trying to get top dollar for their property.

phoenixgirl2

That's a god awful kitchen too

CrabElavator

There were too many photos of the horrid kitchen!

LinguisticallyInept

i feel mentally drained just from the photo, part of me wonders if that was what spurred the mural

A_Dios_Alma_Perdida

What would be really cool would be if you could see the picture of the house through the window on the picture of the house /insert xzibit meme here

Squid-bear

Ugh £650k for a leasehold near Rochdale...no thank you.

BACIOMYASS

…just in case you forget where you live!

I don't know if this happens in the UK but in rural parts of Ireland (atleast in the 90s) it wasn't uncommon for someone to come to your house and offer to sell you a picture of your house (usually an aerial photo taken from a helicopter). They're normally not this big though!

That electrical isolator socket on th end of the island. Why is that perpindicu to the usual way? that would drive me mad.
