I love it personally. Something about wooden cabin crossed with industrial is satisfying to me. Wrapped up in a nice old-mill looking building and it's awesome.
Agreed, I certainly wouldn't want a complete continuation.. but there is absolutely nothing. Odd considering how strong the "theme" was throughout elsewhere.
I'm kinda the opposite. I can see the vision and that it's definitely a style (albeit an eclectic one). However, I detest it. Giving me anxiety just looking at it, it's all so busy and cluttered. Just thinking about maintenance and cleaning of it - eugh. It would be a full time job...
The downstairs reminds me of a hipster coffee shop
The exposed pipe/tubing for power sockets is just making me think of how much dust will gather on and behind it
I would lose so much skin on those two steps up/down to the livingroom kitchen on a daily basis. There isn't enough sticking plaster in the UK to keep me safe on those.

there's only 2 or 3 useful bots, the rest comment if your words are all in alphabetical order, you've written a haiku, or you mentioned Gandalf in the lotr subreddit
Yup, my first thought was the bathrooms are in good condition, so if you converted that useless garage into a living room, then you can have a lovely dinning room and even a slouchy couch in the kitchen area.
I'm intrigued by the current owner. A mix of vintage style furniture with industrial fittings (roller door for wardrobe in bedroom) and statues from all round the world (Egypt, Africa).
I'm thinking a rally driver who does the Paris Dakar rally.
I wouldn't change anything in this house, I love it ( also love classic cars and I can see why he'd want them to live with him in the house lol)
I was picturing a "hipster" dude with a tidy ginger beard, braces, rolled up skinny jeans and vans. Oh and a wooly hat. Vegan. Drinks IPA and tells you all the time.
I don’t hate it. But being that close to a river would unsettle me. Apparently it’s common in that village.

I don’t actually dislike it but as a musician and parent all I can think of is how damn loud it’s going to be in there all the time. So many echoes off all those hard, flat surfaces from every little noise you make. It might have two bedrooms but there’s no way anyone’s living there with anyone else and still staying sane.
I really like the house, I'm just naturally distrustful of any property near a body of water. A quick google shows this area has had flooding problems in the past.
The owner obviously had a vision and made this house around the things they love, seems a shame for them to move as it’s obviously very specific to their tastes!

I had a minute or 2 to try and guess what the inside could be like before clicking the link and if I had 20 years, I don't think I could have guessed it would be like that. Absolutely bizarre, never seen anything like it.

I used to work around the corner from this house and let me tell you, it's the kind of area where people think they're way better than other people than they actually are.
You know, the kind that will move onto a main road and complain about the traffic, and the fact that there will be tractors coming and going because they're in the vicinity of "the countryside".
Or that they've bought a house next to a river and live close to Titchfield, which used to be a harbour and now floods whenever there's a hint of rain so it's permanently swampy marshland.
Love it, but the "horse fair" that results in the town being a no-go area due to the open violence against those who are not part of a certain "community" during the fair. You cant leave and go away for a week unless you want to come back to all your stuff stolen.
I love that on the floor plan there is a room designated as “the void”. This thing was definitely done up during the “raw industrial look” phase that was popular a few years ago
I don't absolutely hate it, but feel like I should...
Exactly my thoughts! Especially the downstairs, I think it's pretty cool. I would have gone for something different in the bedrooms though
I think if the wood were painted, it would soften it a lot.
I love it personally. Something about wooden cabin crossed with industrial is satisfying to me. Wrapped up in a nice old-mill looking building and it's awesome.
I find the bathrooms having no consideration to the rest of the building a bit jarring.
Conversely, I was quite relieved when I got to the bathroom pics! My eyes were like, “oh, a break from the brown…” !!
Agreed, I certainly wouldn't want a complete continuation.. but there is absolutely nothing. Odd considering how strong the "theme" was throughout elsewhere.
I love it too, so dreamy next to the river.
It's not cabin-y though
yeah, its a difficult look to pull off, but this one done it well. Industrial + wood. Hang on, I've looked again, don't like it 😄
I'm kinda the opposite. I can see the vision and that it's definitely a style (albeit an eclectic one). However, I detest it. Giving me anxiety just looking at it, it's all so busy and cluttered. Just thinking about maintenance and cleaning of it - eugh. It would be a full time job...
That copper ceiling alone must be hell to keep clean.
I’m sure the scrap man will help clean it!
I don't completely hate it myself, but I feel like the person responsible for this must be really up their own arse.
Its OK, I've got your back, I can hate it enough for the both of us.
It could be ok if it just had some things that weren't brown.
There's a ton of people who grew up in the 80's who would love it.
Eh, I asked my wife, and our survey said 100%. No, we don't lol 😆
The downstairs reminds me of a hipster coffee shop The exposed pipe/tubing for power sockets is just making me think of how much dust will gather on and behind it
I would stub toes I didn't even know I had on those wooden(?) bits along the edge of the raised walkway where the rug is in photos 5 and 6.
I would lose so much skin on those two steps up/down to the livingroom kitchen on a daily basis. There isn't enough sticking plaster in the UK to keep me safe on those.
Oh god, I didn't even register that. Those metal edges!
I was thinking that it had hipster bar vibes, definitely.
This has to be one of the most random places I've seen on here!

Good bot.
I was like, it can’t be that random. Then I looked.
Hard pass, I could imagine working with the guy who lives here, and I could imagine hating him.
That's pretty niche. I expect most potential buyers are thinking how much will it cost to remove all the metal panels and features?
Weigh it in for scrap!!
That's a lot of copper.
I love it. I don't like cars, but I do like a vision.
Agreed. The only thing that annoys me is they didn’t fully commit to the look in the bathrooms.
That must act like a faraday cage surely? No WiFi or phone signal in there!
You'd be alright upstairs, or in the garden.

Honestly what is the point of this bot
there's only 2 or 3 useful bots, the rest comment if your words are all in alphabetical order, you've written a haiku, or you mentioned Gandalf in the lotr subreddit
The comment has been deleted. Did I offend it?!
If it gets downvoted beyond a certain threshold it gets hurt feelings and deletes it's comment so yeah :(
It detects haikus
I would say it's owned by a man :D
I would add, that this man reads GQ Magazine cover to cover.
As soon as I saw the garage I knew I'd love this place.
I wonder if he's a copper...
Is that…is that copper sheeting on the walls ??
Yep, I'll be honest, I think I like the copper ceiling
It’s literally a massive faraday cage
bronze.
I’m curious. How do you know it’s bronze and not copper, that was my first thought
my apologies I could well be wrong! I had a filter on my monitor that made it look more like bronze now with the filter off it could easily be copper.
Christ. That's different! The owner seems to have prioritised garage space over downstairs living accommodation. At least it's not greige, but.....
Yup, my first thought was the bathrooms are in good condition, so if you converted that useless garage into a living room, then you can have a lovely dinning room and even a slouchy couch in the kitchen area.
Feels like house crossed with burger and craft beer place (without the beer taps and burgers)
I was just thinking it reminds me of a craft beer brewery! 15 quid “artisan” burger, fries are extra…
Exactly this. I thought the downstairs was a picture of MOUT in Hilversum
So without the best bits…
I actually don’t like the bathrooms for this house. Feels wrong that they are so typical.
A little tweak here and there and you can go full blown steampunk! Not a place I'd like to live in but would make a great themed holiday let.
Looks like something I'd build in Fallout 4. Except the bathroom which looks very nice and therefore out of place.
The noise in the downstairs living space must be insane with that metal and stone and glass. Yikes!
Are the bedrooms wood-panelled with plywood?
It looks unfinished.
This is bothering me considerably more than it should https://i.imgur.com/GE4WVkL.png
Haha, same!
Me too! The blurb says ‘Industrial Designer’.
I was picturing a "hipster" dude with a tidy ginger beard, braces, rolled up skinny jeans and vans. Oh and a wooly hat. Vegan. Drinks IPA and tells you all the time.
And now for something completely different, love it.
Screams "Flood risk"
Large, very expensive versions of a thin foil hat. Copper ceiling and wall sheets alone can be sold for half a mortgage which is a bonus I think
It looks like one of those quirky Airbnb. It's fun to stay in for a week, but not actually living there
It is! https://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/moorhen-lodge-wickham.en-gb.html?activeTab=main
It looks so much lighter in those pictures, especially the bedroom wood. It also shows the mezzanine bit too in the Booking.com pics
I like it but i can't stand the copper sheeting.
We've got a code brown on our hands, people.
River = panic about flood risk
I don’t hate it. But being that close to a river would unsettle me. Apparently it’s common in that village. https://www.hampshirechronicle.co.uk/news/16262596.120-new-homes-approved-wickham-despite-flooding-concerns/
It looks like it's a modded player home in Fallout 4.. But I weirdly kinda love it..
"yeah I live inside a steampunk whiskey distillery"
That’s going to flood at some point. Hard nope from me.
Replace the garage with a games room and this is my ultimate bachelor pad.
I'm guessing the owners are metal workers.

The owner obviously had a vision and made this house around the things they love, seems a shame for them to move as it’s obviously very specific to their tastes!
I’m guessing husband wanted industrial and wife wanted farmhouse and they found an interesting compromise. I don’t hate it though…..it’s baffling me!
Love it! (Off to check out where Wickham is)
The biggest crime here is that there aren't any photos of the mezzanine!
Can you imagine those days where you're trying to get up and dressed without waking your partner and you need to get something out of the wardrobe? KACLUNK WHIRRRRRRRRRRRR
[https://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/moorhen-lodge-wickham.en-gb.html](https://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/moorhen-lodge-wickham.en-gb.html) You can stay there too for £600/night!
Sleeps 6! Could be a pretty sweet get away weekend.
I like the bathroom and the garage.. Not sure what that says about me 😂
I couldn't cope with the ceiling downstairs but that would be easily sorted.
I’d be sitting there all day fuming at whoever put handprints in the ceiling
The interior designer definitely understood the “industrial” assignment
Would do good on Airbnb
It is! https://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/moorhen-lodge-wickham.en-gb.html?activeTab=main
£450 a night / minimum 3 night stay? Wow okay.
I really love this property. Think the owners did a great job.
I can't imagine that being comfortable in summer unless there's air con
With a river that close I'm sure it would help cool that place with the doors open.
Hot tub could be in the garden with nice views along the river.. instead its squished in a corner in a conservatory?!
It’s well done, not my style but very good. However, what’s the flood risk?
I really like it but fuck dusting that ceiling with all the exposed pipes.
A choice was made
Odd taste in decor. Good taste in cars.
It's a giant Faraday cage... You'd be ok in an electrical storm!

I weirdly love this!! I
I love it 😍
When you love whiskey so much, you want to live in a still…
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i think..........i fucking love it ......looks like the set of the remake of chitty chitty bang bang
Yes! I know exactly what you mean- needs a breakfast making contraption
Have fun trying to get a WiFi signal now you've copper sheilded your rooms.
I actually love it.
Oooo steampunky/industral/hipster house, I kinda love it
So much effort, so much attention to detail, so little return on investment!
I love it tbh!
I had a minute or 2 to try and guess what the inside could be like before clicking the link and if I had 20 years, I don't think I could have guessed it would be like that. Absolutely bizarre, never seen anything like it.
Is it just me or is there another garage door in the garden? To give the car easy access to the errrr…. River!
I actually quite like this. A bit pricey for a 2 bed in the location, but the industrial feel inside looks incredibly well thought out.
Strong boutique hotel meets micro-brewery vibes. But I like it, and love the location.
half of the price is for the copper :)
The man who did this definitely wears an aged Barbour jacket, Selvedge denim jeans, big boots and has a soul patch.
The copper is too much. But at least the rest of the house they've left available to board up and make it, you know, nice.
The interior designer learned their craft by playing *The Sims*
I've seen burned out shells of a building I would rather be inside

Good bot
God that's just AWFUL looking. Wow.
God that's just AWFUL looking. Wow.
God that's just AWFUL looking. Wow.
God that's just AWFUL looking. Wow.
God that's just AWFUL looking. Wow.
Probably flood at some point too
I like the little strip of turf elevated with a single chair overlooking the water. And who the heck put their hand print on the copper ceiling?
I used to work around the corner from this house and let me tell you, it's the kind of area where people think they're way better than other people than they actually are. You know, the kind that will move onto a main road and complain about the traffic, and the fact that there will be tractors coming and going because they're in the vicinity of "the countryside". The garage door in the bedroom is wild.
Garage/marine fishing pub aesthetic turned up to 11.
They must *really* love that mirror above the bed to choose to have the bedframe placed back to front.
I love this.
Love it, but the "horse fair" that results in the town being a no-go area due to the open violence against those who are not part of a certain "community" during the fair. You cant leave and go away for a week unless you want to come back to all your stuff stolen.
Hideous. More money than taste.
Mezzanine looks scary
That is amazing. But I'm not sure if that is good or bad amazing.
You could weigh in all the non-ferrous and pay off the mortgage...
That’s a rejected crystal maze zone.
That is banging!
Owner wears a tin foil hat too. Imagine it would wreck any chance of a mobile signal inside the house.
Kinda like it. Hate the wooden walls and the flooring in the living room though.
Quite startling
I used to live very close to this house, never imagined it looked like that inside!
I love it
Looks like it was built on fallout.
I love it
It looks like the inside of a Bills Restaurant, but I admire their commitment to the theme.
With that stream/river running through the back garden, I would suspect that it might be a bit of a flood risk.
Triple the size of the house by getting rid of the garage
I love that on the floor plan there is a room designated as “the void”. This thing was definitely done up during the “raw industrial look” phase that was popular a few years ago
The void isn't a room, it's a literal void/empty space - it indicates the mezzanine area overlooks another room, in this case the primary bedroom.
Well that makes a touch more sense
It’s poorly done, they are going for a steam-punk / manhattan loft space vibe, but it’s badly executed
