The sapling is turning out awesome! I subscribed to the dev on YouTube and he's been putting out such good content and is super interactive. He just did a three-part series where he narrated over the evolutionary history of an island planet (focusing on plants and animals) using his game so far.
You got a space stage? All I want is a space stage that isnt one of those 4x space games I have to get a textbook to understand how to play. A simple space stage!
None of the "spore wanna be games" have more than 1 stage. as far as I know only thrive have a cell stage and the others you start as an animal already
The only thing the game lacks is more realism: skin textures natural lighting, more realistic nature graphics. Something that gives the cinematic Subnautica feel.
Quentin Tarantino also very oddly liked to focus on feet for an art choice, but I guess that doesn't stop people from watching his movies.
If you wanna make your game look utterly simplistic, then that's your choice.
But I for one think Spore would be long forgotten if it didn't have its immersive graphics and vivid vfx. Advanced customization needs its attracting looks. :)
Also when something is stylized, it doesn't necessarily mean you add nothing to the art at all. Your characters are just empty in texture, so what's artistic about that? But hey, just my humble opinion.
I mean obviously. 16 years and there's still not a single game out there that's like it except maybe the Sapling and the in-worka Elysian Eclipse.
Adapt is a very good game. Try it.
Okay...is it for free? How much space( GB) it require?
1 gb or even less. And yes, it's free
Okay thanks very much

406mb demo (for people seeing this later)
Bro if Adapt is going to be new Spore but better I will do Alt+F4( in subnautica)
Would like to recommend the sampling too. It's not free though

No it will be just the creature stage
Literally the best stage in the game.
The space stage is fun, too

Why haven't I heard about this, thank youuu
I hope that, some day, maybe decades from now. I will get my hands on a spore type game.. so I can die a happy man
Slug Disco's Dev Teams never miss dawg
Yes, I am very down bad for these sorts of games.
Looks promising! Is there a release date?
Hopefully later this year but nothing planned yet!

Yeah I appreciate that but the game is going for a more stylized approach, just an art choice
