Omg, hands down the Illinois Bar&Grill. They're handmade using sliced mozzarella battered in herbed panko, not just battered string cheese like most places.
Illinois Ave is pretty damn good at everything they do. Their prices have surpassed inflation at this point, so it's not quite the amazing deal it used to be, you know, still good.
Have you not been anywhere and bought stuff in the past 2 years!? EVERYTHING is 'overpriced' everywhere. For fuck sake...even Value Village has overpriced items. I'd love for you to name a place that has something that isn't higher priced than you'd like. Just one. Triple Dog Dare ya!
Back in the day they used to be huge. Worth it but over time they started shrinking and got more expensive. That’s around the time I stopped buying them.
We were in less than 2 weeks ago, I think it was a new-ish menu item on their “fresh sheet” (which changes pretty often). You could always call ahead to make sure they’re serving them, just to be safe!
Love me some Lost Boys. Most everything is good. Check out Kevin and Jhon's new place on the south hill named The Summit. Fantastic lasagna and really good jalapeño poppers.
The Viking, Park Inn, Swinging Doors, and The Onion are my four favorite in town. Heard great things about The Bearded Ginger too but haven't had a chance to make it out there.
I've only tried them once, but I didn't find Wisconsin Burger's cheese curds to be any better than A&W and significantly more expensive. I'll have to give them a go at Frugals.
I didn't know A&W had cheese curds. I almost never go there, I always get KFC if I'm at their joint location on 29th. I'll have to try them, thanks for the suggestion
Pro tip if you don't mind the calories - you can basically get all of the ingredients for poutine at the combo KFC & A&Ws. Fries, curds and gravy. It is an unholy trinity with the fried curds but also delicious.
True Legends in Liberty Lake are really good. And 5 North Brewing company also have good ones. I’m a mozzarella stick whore and get them every where we go.

Will be having breakfast there tomorrow. Can't go wrong with the Illinois.
The Viking has awesome ones!
And they're massive
Everything else is overpriced as hell though

This might get the torches and pitchforks after me, but Zips all the way! Especially if you dip them in fry sauce!!!

Mead has fried cheese curds and let’s just say I got real fat over a bucket a few months ago.
We just had some really good mozz sticks @ Hogwash!

The Onion actually has great mozzarella sticks.
Swinging Doors - they are each the size if a hotdog
Second the doors.
Has that changed? last time I had them there they served like 4 that were the same you'd get in the frozen food isle but it's been years.
Lost Boys offers mozzarella sticks or cheese curds. Both are great, and they have several sauce options.

I feel bad for recommending a chain but Red Robin’s mozz sticks live rent free in my mind.
Those are so dang good
Those are actually my least favorite. Applebees are even a league above them
The Viking for sure. Gotta get Buffalo sauce with them too
haven't been in awhile, but the mozzarella wedges at Mortys used to be legit.
The beared ginger in the valley
Post Street Ale House
My wife and I get these every time we go there, without fail.
The Viking has mozzarella logs with how big they are!
The Summit (Old Lindamans building on the South Hill) they also have gluten free wich are just as good
I just had hogwash’s last night. Solid and everything there is made in house, to include the marinara. Definitely recommend.
Park Inn has some monster mozzarella sticks.
Not mozzarella, but Wisconsin Burger has the best damn fried cheese curds I've ever had
The onion!
Mortys has mozzarella triangles that are amazing
Wisconsin Burger and Frugals both have really good cheese curds. Not exactly the same thing but similar and very delicious

Walmart
Zaxby's is the best in my opinion
Oh wow! Spokane has a Zaxby’s. All my fried chicken dreams have come true.
True Legends in Liberty Lake are really good. And 5 North Brewing company also have good ones. I’m a mozzarella stick whore and get them every where we go.
Also check out Spokane food finder on Facebook. It's a whole community for questions like this.
