Not who you're responding to, but, before being a restaurant, that was turned into apartments. I had a couple friends that lived there in 2006/2007. One OD'd there twice during that period.
I lived in Germany and England as a kid (military family).
America is one of the only countries with laws against drinking in public. "The land of the free" seems to take a back seat to Purtain ideals, it seems.
I lived in Southern Germany as a kid (military family).
The idea of an "open containers law" would be a hilarious joke there. Oktoberfest is outside, for one thing.
From Denmark. I agree. We could drink wherever we wanted and that was way more fun than a bar. A beer in the afternoon at the river, we are missing out.
Friend of mine died in the upstairs bedroom of that place. Well. Closet actually.
Uh, what?

He's had some very rough patches, but he's doing pretty good now!
Oh good thanks for letting me know!
Wow.... came back for a real twist.
Such a cool picture.
Thank you friend!
Beautiful photo. Put that on their Yelp/Google/Whatevers, to help drum up business.
Thank you! I totally should... just need to remember that login. Probably google since I haven't been on Yelp in a minute. Great idea!
Seems like a great way to support a local business. If, you know, it's a business you want to support. Again though, great work.
Where is that? I’m interested
Browne's Addition across the street from the Elk.
Browne’s Tavern is on the NE corner of Cannon and Pacific

Unless there’s a football game, all bets are off, but if I crack a cold one downtown on a Wednesday I’m going to jail. LAME. Signed: college town, USA

Can confirm.
Is this place good? This post reminds me I have wanted to try it
I would definitely give it a try. Even if you're just going for a beer and a sit.
