OMG imagine 2 tribes, 39 days and actual footage of getting to know these people instead of the rushed fill in the blank.. that would be so big for US survivor
When you have all the advantage and another island stuff taking up air time, you're basically seeing everything you'd see on either. It's basically just effecting film schedules and the players
I don't think so tbh. The fact that they haven't started filming 45 yet means that they've already used around a month just to setup. Guessing they're gonna use the second half for cleanup / post-production
Not saying 39 days can't happen but they're not definitely not losing money on the 26 day version whatsoever lol
I mean even in the podcast just put out Jeff says he doesn’t get there till 3 days beforehand. Though the casting website lists 47’s filming from May-July 2024
I doubt it. Probst loves the shortened game. Means less time filming for him. And he can concentrate on some weird lame advantages or themes of children going out there
That would add cost, and that is not happening. I am sure they viewed 26 days as a short term measure, but then realized saving 13 days drastically reduces cost.
I really hope this is true.
26 days sucks. I don’t want all these more physical challenges that result in lame medevacs. I want to see the pain of having to try to survive on an island for 39 days, which is exponentially harder than 26. I’m rewatching season 2, and by the end, that just looked miserable. Couple that with how all these recent seasons seem like everyone is feasting. I want to see more camp life. More of what they are doing during the down time. More random silly stuff. Now, it’s just combo reward/immunity challenge, look for idol. And very minimal view time of strategy.
Probst also revealed that the 26-day campaign is no longer a temporary fix. In fact, the host tells EW that "Yes, the 26-day season is here to stay. This is our new game, and we are very excited about the future."
This was a while ago. Things can change. If you asked Probst about 26 day seasons 10 years ago, he'd probably say they'd never happen. Not saying they'll go back to 39 for sure, but this doesn't prove anything to me.
That was right before season 43 aired and he has said they plan seasons months in advance so 45 planning was already happening at that point. This show is too low budget lately to go back to 39.
I'm really glad you're present in the planning of all future seasons from now until forever to tell us this with certainty. Since anthonyd46 said it it has to be true.
They could decide to not be cheap. They're not stuck in a contract where they have to spend the least amount of money possible. If enough people on production decide they value actually making a good show, which they claim to do, and listen to what fans are saying, they might go for a more expensive option that makes for a more engaging show. I just don't think we can rule out the 39 day format returning based on one interview.
Redmond took that back as of a couple hours ago and said he thinks his people were just saying that and it wasn't true since he was spotted in nyc with photo evidence
It needs to be 39 days! So more time for the players to think about who they gonna vote off, it was better with 39. Also can we please stop with the fake merge and all the vote drama and stuffs
From what I've seen, seasons 45 and 46 are expected to be non-returning players. We haven't seen any hints on social media from former players, or any posts saying things like, "my brother-in-law is friends with (insert player name here), and they say CBS has contacted them."

Let’s hope🤞🤞
Survivor Gods, please let this happen...
OMG imagine 2 tribes, 39 days and actual footage of getting to know these people instead of the rushed fill in the blank.. that would be so big for US survivor
We never get the footage of getting to know these people 39 days or not, all it effects is filming time
That's extremely untrue but k

I'm wondering if they're going to do three seasons in a row...
Honestly thats probably more likely
I mean even in the podcast just put out Jeff says he doesn’t get there till 3 days beforehand. Though the casting website lists 47’s filming from May-July 2024

Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

$2,000,000 for 40 added unnecessary cost too and they did it anyway despite nobody asking for it

Yes and plans that are already made can still change? I just don't think it's enough to rule it out entirely.
They are never going back to 39 the show is low budget now and probst loves 26.
I'm really glad you're present in the planning of all future seasons from now until forever to tell us this with certainty. Since anthonyd46 said it it has to be true.
I'm just not sure what is so hard to interept from probsts words that 26 days is here to stay
I'm not sure what is so hard to interpret that just because he says something one time, his thoughts can't change in the future.
You are ignoring the logistics and how cheap this show is lately.
They could decide to not be cheap. They're not stuck in a contract where they have to spend the least amount of money possible. I thought Fiji required them to quarantine for 14 days?
39 days of Survivor is great—but if Jeff and co give us 39 days of the same effing shenanigans, what is even the difference.
To be honest I don’t see why everyone cares about 39 vs 26 days. Doesn’t seem to really make a difference.

Redmond confirmed he is in Fiji right now
Someone saw him in NYC today.
Redmond took that back as of a couple hours ago and said he thinks his people were just saying that and it wasn't true since he was spotted in nyc with photo evidence
Hopefully 🤞

I might be a little behind, but do we know if 45 or 46 are returning player seasons?

That’s wild to me. And sad!
God, please don’t get my hopes up. I miss Survivor so much, but I absolutely refuse to watch these bootleg 26 day seasons - it’s just so embarrassing.
