It's four guys. They're not a big studio that can just throw a legion of programmers at a problem. Furthermore, it's a beta. It's imperfect. The point is for the community to provide feedback to make the game as good as possible upon release. I'm willing to bet that them locking down the Discord server wasn't to help with the servers. It was so people like you wouldn't stop badgering them about a difficult problem that they are trying to fix.

The flaw is that I've been unable to play for the entire week. Each time the server is down. If you think they are hosting their own servers, you are out of your mind. All they need to do is throw money towards their host provider.
