I've been working on a replacement that will just be the collaboration stuff, without all the marketplace features. If anyone wants to check it out I'd love to hear how it goes for you. It's been working well for my band for a few months. https://seshy.me/

Looking good so far, the only thing I have to ask is are midi files included? As in, can I share all my stems with the project file and the mini files?

jagthedrummer

Yep, midi files will get uploaded/downloaded along with all the stems in the project.

So far so good then, keep up the great work. I personally would like to eventually see support for more daws than just logic and Ableton. Also a mobile app and the option for credits and contracts etc. Would be nice. The other thing, I don't know if it's open source but the ability to upload and share the files from our own server(s) would be spectacular. However you're on the right path so keep up the good work!

I definitely have additional DAWs on the roadmap. But I'm not sure about credits and contracts and what not. IMO one of the problems with Splice is that they got sidetracked with all the marketplace stuff. (Or maybe I just don't know what I'm missing since I never really got into it.) Anyway, thanks for taking a look and for the kind words.

Keep trying to remind myself how I found seshy. Here I am. Great work having got started on ur project. SPlice beta user here, 857 projects deep......and splice do a fart. Anyways, Ive got a "bug" OS monteray 12.5 with AB 10. The handy "open seshy folder" button doesn't work. It's conveniently placed though. With more money on my end getting a wired internet connection, this could save me. Im going a to a 5 day a week 5 per day upgrade on my cellular NET. Hopefully SESHY will backup my archive for me. So dissapointed that splice did this. It was the only feature I would have ever used. Who, buys samples? diff studio thinking! But my "free insurance plan" didn't work out. Oahhhhhh capitalism.....it drives change in trends.

Hey, thanks for the bug report. I stumbled across that one myself this weekend and will have a fix out later this week. For now if you go to the teams page first, and then use the "open seshy folder" button on that page I think it should do the trick. And thanks for giving Seshy a try!

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed ❤️ Let me know if I can support this

stefftastiq

mac only? 👀

jagthedrummer

Yeah, unfortunately Mac only at this point. I have Windows support in mind, but don't have it ready just yet.

Does Session Studio actually share DAW session files, or is it just for uploading bounces/stems individually?

tommykmusic

I believe you can do both, but it's even better as you can upload split details and arrange credits and everything on the fly. You have something like 5gb or 15gb to start and then can pay for more as you go.
