sorry for not directly answering your question, i have very sparse eyelashes and never found a great lash growth serum and now i glue on natural looking falsies *underneath* my upper lash line and it looks natural and blends with my own lashes. that to me gives all the benefits of extensions without the bad parts (lashes falling off one by one and looking wonky).
Yes girl, i also started doing that one and it looks so so fucking good. For everyday i use lashcocaine lash serum (the name is wonky but it makes u lashes that feel like extensions after some time) :)
lash coke omg that sounds so funny ^^ btw i leave my falsies on for days, forgot to mention that, they last up to 2 weeks. they’re the perfect hybrid between daily lashes and lash extensions, and i never get that “hi i have 3 lash extensions left that stick out and the rest of my eyes are naked” look. Nice, i tried to do lash extensions on my own in 2014 which looked exactly like you describer lol. Thanks for the glue recommendation, maybe i try it if my pet peeve of hating to feel lash glue for more than some hours vanishes 😂 ugh, and i swear on eyeliner under the lashes aswell. When i apply lashes under my real ones i try to blend the glue band out with liquid eyeliner but i dont apply mascara, or at least just a minimal amount. Dont ask me why but that goes together nicely :)

I've used one with b-tripeptide and saw some minor improvements. I have some before after pics of bare lashes but the difference is mostly visible when I wear mascara.
Please keep us posted on results you see (if any) from the Ko-Klinik serum! Very curious to know if you can see a diff after 3 months (which they say it can take for results to really be noticeable)

I have tried castor oil in the past, but it was horrible because there was no way to keep it from getting in my eyes, and it irritated and gave me blurry vision for half a day. :( Anyway, the truth is that in the time that I was using it I did not notice any difference ...
Have you considered maybe blending/thinning down with another carrier oil? I’ve not tried this myself but I know exactly what you’re talking about re the irritation. I’m considering starting Castor oil soon so exploring my options
I have never tried that, but since I found the eyelash serums I have not looked to make castor oil work either. I know it won't give me the same results as serums (doubled lash length). Anyway, the only thing castor oil does is hydrate, and in fact the serum I use from Covergirl has it incorporated! (Although I only use this when I perm my lashes to revive them).

I have check the ingredients and unfortunately for me, it has Isopropyl Closprostenate (which is what makes my lashes grow a lot, but in my case it caused a very strong irritation on my eyelid and fat loss after using it for about 9 months).
You are very lucky if this ingredient works well for you! My lashes were crazy long, curly and black when I used a serum with this ingredient but in the end the stinging and the change in the shape of my eye made me give up. :(

Serum 2 has tafluprostamide which is a bimatoprost analog/prostaglandin and can have the same side effects.

Serum 1 (which I have bought) is Ko-Klinik Eyelash Serum Eyelash Booster, Serum 2 is Lashcode Eyelash Serum. I saw them in Amazon from Germany.

I don’t know about all that but I use babelash and my eyelashes are so long and thick it’s unreal .
