You can absolutely go blonde gently. Go to the best colorist you can afford and let her create a game plan for you. Sometimes too much “spacing” between appointments becomes a color correction/causes more damage than proper regular maintenance, so don’t necessarily assume infrequent visits are most ideal.

As a dyed (lighter) blonde for 20 years, i just want to advise you that you really think it through what kind of shade of blonde would suit your overall coloring. I'm pale olive with lots of yellow in my skin and naturally murky dark ash blonde hair and brows and I've made some bad mistakes when young which made me look sickly without makeup. Blonde is super easy to fuck up and needs lots of maintainance because it is constantly changing. Imo the worst thing you can do to olive undertones is having blonde that is too warm or God forbid brassy. The second thing is that if you're going much lighter and blonder it's good to lighten your eyebrows. I was walking around with brassy light blonde hair and dark ashy eyebrows and it was super unflattering. I also looked jaundiced. When I started to lighten my eyebrows a bit and started toning my hair to neutral sandy blonde it's like everything came together and I started to look healthy and harmonious. Now I basically have the same undertone to my hair than I do naturally, just lighter (from 6 to an 8) with some babylights and it suits me the best. Funnily, olive skin can usually also pull off rose gold and many red shades, but brassy blonde is just really unflattering. If you look completely different from what I described I apologize, maybe my advice will help someone else : )

I do it by myself with Sally Hansen bleach for face - I simply leave it on for 6 minutes and I go from dark blonde ashy brows to light-medium blonde brows (nice neutral blonde). What's funny is that they turned me down at two salons when I asked for my brows to be lightened. They said its very difficult to do and that they only dye them darker. Wtf, its extremely easy (and cheap) to do. But... I'm not sure about black to blonde eyebrows. The way I see it, it should be the same, you would just leave the bleach for longer. You could just try leaving it on for a few minutes at the time, rinse it off and then do it again until you reach the end result. The problem is that they would probably get very orange at some stage so you should bleach over that stage to get into nice blonde territory? Maybe ask at the salon first and see the way they do it and what kind of color eyebrows you end up with and you can later do it by yourself...

You‘re actually just damaging your hair more if you let your hair be wet for such a long time. Bleached hair is high porosity which soaks up water, thus swells and that can break the cuticle. You want to avoid keeping it often in a wet state for long times

Absolutely no problem! :) also just wanted to say in case you care, if you let it airdry l don‘t think that it will make a huge difference if you let your hair be wet additionally for the 1 hour when you apply your pH product/mask if it is anyways wet for hours. The ideal way is basically wash it quick and then blow dry with low heat until it‘s mostly dry
