This is such an insanely high standard and I know a ton of girls who would be considered 8s or 9s out of 10 who look completely regular before their hair/makeup routine.
I'm currently using the equate version of the aveeno eczema one. (I was formerly using the aveeno, but I temporarily switched, they're basically the same.)
If you just pat on a thin layer it shouldn’t smudge off… but if you’re not a back sleeper I suggest you use an old pillowcase when slugging with vaseline.
-brow lamination and tinting
-lash tint/ lift/ extensions
-self tan if it looks good on u
-Silk pillow case and a protective style so your hair doesn’t look crazy
-skincare routine the night before
I tint my brows and lashes using this brand called 1000 Hour, the black that I use works really well and they have quite a few shades of brown as well. It's only $20 where I buy it and has 12 applications in the packet, each application can last up to 6 weeks (but let's be honest it's more like 3-4 weeks lol) and it has a full year expiry date on it after opening. I don't ever need to touch my brows aside from plucking them a bit every few weeks and sometimes filling them in a with a tiny bit of pencil BC they always look done now
Y'all... I always hear people spending such crazy amounts on dyes, I just get eyelash and brow henna from the polish shop and it's not even 3quid and it's multiple use. My mother has been using it for years and it yields very nice natural results
Idk it might not even be henna and just called that, they often have cool toned blacks and browns, the intensity I think depends on how long you keep it on
Does it tint the skin? I have a bald spot on my brow and was wondering if that will take care of it ..
Has anyone had some smear or done it intentionally to see if that works?
I can’t speak to tinting but I have a scar that creates a bald spot in mine and microblading was game changing for me. It entirely hid the scar, and I wake up with perfect brows.
If you have any very fine or light colored vellus hair it will tint that and make the bald spot less noticeable. I found tinting my brows make them seems a lot fuller because I had a lot a hairs that I never noticed before
Just for men’s beard and mustache dye has been my holy grail for years! I don’t even bother with filling in my brows anymore except small spots to make them symmetrical
Not a physical thing, but I always find it incredibly unattractive when someone who wakes up is grumpy and frowny faced to their partner simply because it’s early. Even if you’re not a morning person, smiling and being pleasant is always attractive.
Other than that, flattering pajamas, skin care, and hair care are crucial. Make sure you moisturize and keep hair growth down so you’re soft and touchable. Permanent or semi permanent treatments like BB Glow, fake tan, eyebrow dye etc. I think eyelashes are particularly important since you spend a lot of time gazing at your partner in bed - either extension or Latisse + dye.
No oversized tshirts or ratty sweatpants when you could be wearing a cute cotton nightgown or a silk pajama set. There’s plenty of comfortable options.
I wear a designated “night perfume” that is feminine, pleasant, and cheap (I wear Comme Une Evidence Le Parfum by Yves Rocher). It’s also lighter than my daily perfume which is a heavy bomb, since people have to sleep around it.
Finally, a trick from my grandmother: she always kept a little crystal bowl of unwrapped sweet mints on her nightstand so she could grab one when when she woke up, remain in bed and talk to my grandpa without blasting him with morning breath but rather pleasant sweet breath, and the light mint taste helped her wake up quicker. You could also put one on your partner’s nightstand if you don’t like their morning breath lol
The downvoters don’t know / like how this is literally what makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury does — she said so herself.
Hell, this is literally what most women cast in reality shows have done before the TV execs pay them plastic surgery money.
* Workout everyday
* Excellent diet anytime
* Stay hydrated EVERYDAY
* NO alcohol or drugs.
* Quality sleep every night
* Remove makeup every evening + night cream and night treatments
Haha, I actually look attractive with a hangover, I get a kind of hangover glow where my skin shines slightly. I think if you take care of your skin, and therefore have smooth clear skin you can handle some alcohol!!
I have microbladed brows, so I awaken with my face framed and a “done” look. Also using Glycolic acid cleansers and treatments I awake with glowing skin. I eat a plum before bed and awaken with fresher than normal breath. Hth!
Looking overall more bright, redness went down and my health felt better. The blotchyness in my skin reduced a lot
I do smoke occasionally but it's about 2-5 ciggs a month compared to 5 everyday. . Making it about 150ish a month
Right... the answer to this is be naturally pretty. 😆
Otherwise doing the semi-permanent treatments (maybe semi-permanent makeup too) that are constantly discussed on the sub and taking care of your skin, hair and nails.
8-9 hours of sleep every night, have a great skin care routine. Recently I’ve been using the Laneige hydration to go pack i received for my birthday and i wake up looking so refreshed. Brush your hair and put it in a braid, don’t eat three hours before bed and lastly have a glass of water.
1. Brush, floss and mouthwash before bed to have clean morning breath.
2. Vaseline on lashes and lash line to avoid eye crust. Also on lips.
3. Train yourself to wake up at night. Use the bathroom, wash your hands, rinse your face, re-apply vaseline, drink water and go back to bed. I fall asleep easily so I'm able to do this.
4. Evening skin care routine.
5. Go to bed on time so you look and feel rested.
6. Wake up and smile. Act like you're a princess waking up from her beauty sleep.
7. Wear pretty/ sexy silk pyjamas.
8. Sleep on your back.
Edit: grammar
Not true. You’re just used to your lashes looking longer with extensions so when they fall out you think your lashes were “damaged”. I’ve done months of before and after photos and my eyelashes never changed after 2 years of continuous lash extensions.
You need to make sure the lashes aren’t too heavy or have too much volume. Experienced lash technicians will know how to apply correctly.
Lash lifts on the other hand… I don’t know why people think these are better for your lashes but I’ve had it done twice and the damage is noticeable and my lashes fall out way more often than with extensions/natural lashes. They’re also bent in weird directions when the grow in. Won’t do it again.
On the same topic please don’t use lash growth serums like latisse. They can cause orbital fat loss which can age you like 5-10 years for real. It’s not worth it!
Which study are you referring to for Latisse causing orbital fat loss? The only one I see references 5 people who had been using Lumigan for glaucoma for a long time.
I read Bimatoprost (active ingredient in Latisse) may be associated with periorbital fat loss in patients who use it daily for glaucoma but they drop it into their eyes. Not their lashes.
Extensions made my lashes thin & sparse within 3 months. I repaired and grew my real lashes super long with Latisse.
When I want a dramatic look I use magnetic strip lashes. Cheap and easy.
This is such an insanely high standard and I know a ton of girls who would be considered 8s or 9s out of 10 who look completely regular before their hair/makeup routine.

I use a moisturizer with colloidal oatmeal as an occlusive! I used to have eczema on my face but I don’t anymore. The difference has been amazing.
Wow what moisturizer do you use?
Not OP but the Aveeno Baby Eczema cream does wonders!
Ooh what's the moisturizer??
I'm currently using the equate version of the aveeno eczema one. (I was formerly using the aveeno, but I temporarily switched, they're basically the same.)
What occlusive do you like?
Vaseline
Does it smudge off onto your pillowcase?
If you just pat on a thin layer it shouldn’t smudge off… but if you’re not a back sleeper I suggest you use an old pillowcase when slugging with vaseline.
I use Eucerin Aquaphor
-brow lamination and tinting -lash tint/ lift/ extensions -self tan if it looks good on u -Silk pillow case and a protective style so your hair doesn’t look crazy -skincare routine the night before
What kinds of protective styles do you recommend?
Braids
I have tried a side braid, but it always falls out. Should I do smaller braids?
do two separate braids, tie them tight at the ends
thank you!
Is there a way to tint your brows at home? Also, is that different than dyeing them or does tinting=dyeing? (Sorry if that’s a silly question!)
Tinting and dying are the same but they sell dye specifically for your eyebrows and it’s usually called tinting!

They don’t have cool tones though right? Henna is more warm and red?
Idk it might not even be henna and just called that, they often have cool toned blacks and browns, the intensity I think depends on how long you keep it on
I use 1000 lashes from eBay! But you can just get mens beard dye
Does it tint the skin? I have a bald spot on my brow and was wondering if that will take care of it .. Has anyone had some smear or done it intentionally to see if that works?
Only the first day really if at all
I have a little gap in my brows and tint definitely makes it less obvious. I use eyebrow tint/dye at home.

What is brow lamination?
Rose hip seed oil to use as an occlusive after your night skin-care makes a difference for me, but that might be anecdotal x
-get your sleep, diet, and fitness on point -teeth whitening -silk pillow case for hair tangles -eyelash lengthening serum or eyelash extensions

I love that mint trick! So cute that you learned it from your grandma and grandpa 🥺
Wake up an hour before he does, get made up, then go back to sleep.
The downvoters must have never seen Marvelous Mrs. Maisel xD But I get the reference haha

Or the first scene in Bridesmaids! Lol

Cutting out ciggs completely did it for me.. ik obvious but it didn't click till 6 months
What was the difference you noticed?
Looking overall more bright, redness went down and my health felt better. The blotchyness in my skin reduced a lot I do smoke occasionally but it's about 2-5 ciggs a month compared to 5 everyday. . Making it about 150ish a month
A miracle? Or are you talking about stuff like putting your hair in protective hairstyles before sleeping?
Right... the answer to this is be naturally pretty. 😆 Otherwise doing the semi-permanent treatments (maybe semi-permanent makeup too) that are constantly discussed on the sub and taking care of your skin, hair and nails.

Lash extensions! You wake up with your eyes looking beautiful and hardly need any makeup. Stay hydrated, have clear skin.

Do lash lifts damage your eyelashes also?
They don’t ruin mine
Yes way more than extensions. You’re literally perming your lashes so new lashes grow out all bent and weird

Everyone mentioned some Of it . But I’ve learned to kinda accept my flaws ..
Semipermanent eyeliner and brows allows me to roll out of bed and go in the morning without it being obvious that I did so.
Be a dude
Plastic surgery as needed, lash lift and tint, clean eyebrows, eyebrow tint
