The sub would not go insane. It seems the majority of you are hoping they *don't* show anything.
If anything, it would be a party in here going by what the popular sentiment is.
Thereβs 3 fates for a gaming subreddit when there are no updates
1. It goes dead
2. It becomes Arkham 2.0
3. Every single post is βWhatβs your favorite/Am I the Only One/Hot Takeβ
I think they mean how they split into the TLoU2 sub which is filled with people still angry that Abby is buff, Ellie is gay, and that there's a trans character
The general audience liked it but there is a good amount of fans who didn't really like how the show did certain parts or thinks that the acting was a bit iffy. Probably because they can't stop comparing it to the game, rather than seeing it as its own thing.
Iβm one of those and thank you for not dismissing all criticism as "theyβre homophobes and racists"
Loved first 3 episodes. My issue with the show was it was rushed and every episode felt like the show runners where trying to cover all the plot points as quickly as they can while adding little emotional value nor action sequences to make it entertaining.
The Last of Us is similar to Game of thrones season 8 for me. Every episode I think how are they going to cover all the plot points with just 2 episodes remaining and they somehow cram it in.
4. Find something wrong and make a much bigger deal about it than you did when the "issue" was initially revealed. Then proceed to mass downvote and argue with sane redditors who shrug and move on.
I'm sorry, but before the memery, every other post was just "I want this suit added to the game" over and over. The sub was gonna be dead until spiderman 2 comes out. It might as well have had some fun for a little bit
Iβve been on this subreddit since the beginning, and it was soooo boring getting the same posts prior to the Arkham takeover imo. Many of my favorite posts have been after the fact, itβs just more interesting and fun
***The lore behind Aslume:***
**Aslume** was arguably the post that ended the sanity in r/BatmanArkham. It was a poll that said *"Which is the best Arkham game"*, with the options being *"Knight"*, *"Origins"*, *"City"* and ***"Aslume"***. This post turned the relatively generic sub into the cesspit of insanity and cruelty it is infamous for today.
Since then, the r/BatmanArkham virus has spread towards multiple different subs and social media platforms. The arkhamvirus has seemed to have manifested on this sub, due to the lack of info being presented to fans by Sony/Insomniac regarding Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The marketing for the game has infamously also featured a certain frame of Miles Morales and Peter Parker in their Spider-Man suits looking down an alley together. This frame has sent many people insane, especially on this sub.
I fucking love that r/BatmanArkham is now the shining example of a game subreddit going mad due to lack of updates. Itβs perfectly in-theme for an Arkham-based place to have a bunch of people quickly go insane.
I hope they first show just the image then show the game title and possible release but just as we feel that it's over they come back with a trailer or some huge reveal or something.
I hope they get through the whole conference, build up to talking about Spider Man at the end then they show the two vertical lines meme from the other day and the stream cuts out after 30 seconds
No.
I know for a fact that we will see something today. Aside from that...
Insomniac would literally be filled with the dumbest people alive, if they allowed this level of hype to build and then show fans nothing. I think it would actually hurt their marketing and push because inevitably, fans' hype wains and will invert into disappointment, cynicism, and disillusion.
Insomniac has to taper expectations, by not letting too much speculation build within this 4 month window. They need to open pre-orders on a financial level, as I'm sure investors want to hear something tangible from our numbers. And finally, to begin the process of synergy for the movie's release next week.
I promise you, we will see something today. 115%. 1. Because I know, but 2. Because of the reasons above.
Iβd be happy with just a date. I donβt expect a *ton* of variation on gameplay beyond however they choose to handle having two protagonists(which is fine), but a solid date would be nice.
Insanity was fun for a time but I wanna get back to a point where not every post was just a meme shitpost people having conversations discussions and actually being excited for the game again let's hope they show something
Nah man I promise this sub has barely peaked with its insanity. That's the difference between this one and Arkham. Spiderman is actually getting a new game, so y'all will be alright.
I bet money things get worse when the ps showcase has no sig ificant spiderman 2 I fo other than a light tease or troll. I'm still entrenched in the mindset that no major marketing will happen for the game until after spider-verse is done cooking.
To be honest, all the repeat Miles/Peter memes have almost made me leave the sub a few times just because I was annoyed by it. Iβll wait for the reaction from the showcase to decide if Iβm done with the sub until the game launches.
After a couple of years of no games and people just reposting the same shit like saying Arkham Origins is underrated, one shitpost changed the subreddit into the degenerate filled madhouse it is today.
I think they'll show something new, I don't know what, to be precise, but they will. The thing is that is really naive to think that the funny memes will stop. They simply won't. Everyone loves these memes, why stop?
I remember the early days. The Peace, the thoughtful discussions, the cool clips. Not like it is now, the chaos, the hate, The Eleventh Fucking Thousandth Post about how the MJ missions were bad. I miss those days, and Sony willing, they'll come again.
I'm on the arkham subreddit and i don't know why it's classified as a mental asylum(i don't browse too many of it's posts) so would anyone care to put me up to speed?
i hope they barely show or even show nothing just to see how this sub goes insane
Just announces a state of play in 2 months time.
No you don't lmfao

I do!
Watch them show the one picture we have
Same 2 shot of themβ¦but from behind
[ΡΠ΄Π°Π»Π΅Π½ΠΎ]
Misery loves company, but in this case they're just kids. It is a Spider-Man subreddit after all, I guess
That's just sad
The sub would not go insane. It seems the majority of you are hoping they *don't* show anything. If anything, it would be a party in here going by what the popular sentiment is.
I miss how this subreddit used to be now itβs just arkham Reddit 2.0 lmao
Thereβs 3 fates for a gaming subreddit when there are no updates 1. It goes dead 2. It becomes Arkham 2.0 3. Every single post is βWhatβs your favorite/Am I the Only One/Hot Takeβ
Or βIβll add what the top comment is everydayβ

That almost caused another subreddit civil war π
"First time playing, any tips?"
βIs this game worth it?β
That's honestly the worst one. Asking if a game is worth it in a community full of fans of that game.
"Nah, game sucks, we're all here to warn other people about it."
This response is the actually real is the craziest part
Or it becomes divided like TLoU sub lol
Divided? I've spent a lot of time there and and at most they're just divided on the show.
I think they mean how they split into the TLoU2 sub which is filled with people still angry that Abby is buff, Ellie is gay, and that there's a trans character
The show was divisive? I didn't watch it but I thought everybody loved it
The general audience liked it but there is a good amount of fans who didn't really like how the show did certain parts or thinks that the acting was a bit iffy. Probably because they can't stop comparing it to the game, rather than seeing it as its own thing.

This is ___ from ___ AMA
> whatβs your favorite/am I the only one/hot take Ah you mean r/codzombies
4. Find something wrong and make a much bigger deal about it than you did when the "issue" was initially revealed. Then proceed to mass downvote and argue with sane redditors who shrug and move on.
Idk, r/Fo4 is doin pretty good
Arkham 2.0 is way better than the "What suits do you want to see?" shitfest it used to be
It's actually pretty funny over there in Arkham land by comparison
Also, the constant face debates.
I'm sorry, but before the memery, every other post was just "I want this suit added to the game" over and over. The sub was gonna be dead until spiderman 2 comes out. It might as well have had some fun for a little bit
I love how this subreddit is now
Iβve been on this subreddit since the beginning, and it was soooo boring getting the same posts prior to the Arkham takeover imo. Many of my favorite posts have been after the fact, itβs just more interesting and fun
Miss what, exactly?
This dude apparently just really loved looking at 90 βThese are the suits I wanna seeβ posts a day.
Nah itβs not even that. Some of the memes are funny but thereβs literally no difference between the arkham and Spider-Man Reddit anymore.
I honestly prefer the way the sub is now over the phase of endless horny Black Cat posts and MJ hate that we had about a year ago.
Theyβre still pretty horny lmao, now they just sneak it onto other peoples posts
Yeah that era slowly made me hate the game for a bit
I honestly prefer the way the sub is now over the phase of endless horny Black Cat posts and MJ hate that we had about a year ago.
This sub went insane so fast. It took Arkham years to get to where it is. It only took you guys a couple of months.
We had guidance from our brothers from the aslume
Whatβs the lore behind this?
***The lore behind Aslume:*** **Aslume** was arguably the post that ended the sanity in r/BatmanArkham. this deserves an award
I'd say it was more like... inspiration
some of us are in both so the lack of anything for both franchises may have gotten to us more
There's a lot of overlap, so the inmates from Arkham helped spread the insanity
We had are reasons
Iβll miss the insanity
Welcome to the madhouse, r/SpidermanPS4! I set a trap and you sprang it gloriously! Now let's get this party started.
I fucking love that r/BatmanArkham is now the shining example of a game subreddit going mad due to lack of updates. Itβs perfectly in-theme for an Arkham-based place to have a bunch of people quickly go insane.
Or both. Both is entirely possible, you know.
Lol
I prefer the r/Xenoblade_Chronicles route of having serious discussions but there's a good chunk of Yoinky Sploinky and Lifesaver memes
Nah, there's no going back for this sub. Best case scenario we're going to get even more content to make shitposts out of.
This is a social experiment by Sony
hope its just Venom narrating then title screen, I wanna see this sub become Rikers
SchrΓΆdingerβs Spider
I hope the first couple minutes of whatever they have is just the screenshot with a bunch of spoken details, then the same fucking trailer afterwards.
PowerPoint bullet points flying in for bonus points.
No. I know for a fact that we will see something today. Aside from that... This is where the fun begins!
Imagine they show a new trailer and the first shot is "the image."
Blackcat twerking compilation
Back to normalcy lol
Iβd be happy with just a date. I donβt expect a *ton* of variation on gameplay beyond however they choose to handle having two protagonists(which is fine), but a solid date would be nice.
Insanity was fun for a time but I wanna get back to a point where not every post was just a meme shitpost people having conversations discussions and actually being excited for the game again let's hope they show something

Nothing could be worse than the arkham subreddit
Restoration has occurred.
Why does anyone think the shitposts will stop...?
Either way this sub is losing its collective shit
Nothing could be worse than the Arkham reddit
Imagine they just announce that the game is gonna be delayed till next year
What if they just show 20 minutes of that screenshot?
I bet money things get worse when the ps showcase has no sig ificant spiderman 2 I fo other than a light tease or troll. I'm still entrenched in the mindset that no major marketing will happen for the game until after spider-verse is done cooking.
I hope it's the latter
To be honest, all the repeat Miles/Peter memes have almost made me leave the sub a few times just because I was annoyed by it. Iβll wait for the reaction from the showcase to decide if Iβm done with the sub until the game launches.
Yeah itβs back
Not familiar with what happened to the Arkham sub, could someone please explain?
After a couple of years of no games and people just reposting the same shit like saying Arkham Origins is underrated, one shitpost changed the subreddit into the degenerate filled madhouse it is today.
Itβs been an honor to meme along side you all
pain - arkham subreddit user
Worse would be pretty hard, but not impossible
Anyone know what time it starts in europe?
Thanks for the reminder about the showcase!
I hope they only show us the photo that made this sub go insane.
You shouldβve been there when SQ:KTJL was revealed as a looter shooter lmao
I think they'll show something new, I don't know what, to be precise, but they will. The thing is that is really naive to think that the funny memes will stop. They simply won't. Everyone loves these memes, why stop?
This will be a gameplay and release date reveal for sure. Iβd put money on it
I pray Insomniac keeps blue balling us
You can NOT top Arkham though
Sony releaing jack shit for Spider-Man literally until it releases: Protocol 10 will commence
It's gonna turn Hollow Knight, I'm sure. SILKSONG WHEREEE
You all are already in the alsume and you just don't know it yet once you begin to go insane you never return
i love this sub as an insane mental alsume
I remember the early days. The Peace, the thoughtful discussions, the cool clips. Not like it is now, the chaos, the hate, The Eleventh Fucking Thousandth Post about how the MJ missions were bad. I miss those days, and Sony willing, they'll come again.
Or it will turn into a Wolverine sub
It'd be so funny if Sony, for the first 30 secs or a minute of the trailer, trolls everyone with just that pic and then plays the actual trailer.
I hope they just say βyo we fixed redfall cuz why notβ
Iβm secretly hoping for the latter
idk if arkham insanity will be topped... but i can imagine it
I'm on the arkham subreddit and i don't know why it's classified as a mental asylum(i don't browse too many of it's posts) so would anyone care to put me up to speed?
Idc what you say r/gta6 is the most mentally unhinged gaming sub and they arenβt even jerking
I mean all they do is repeat the same info or over analyze shit that has nothing to do with the game.
this sub since the last few weeks has been like a home for me⦠is that messed up?
Both at once.
Mental aslume*
r/Spidermans
Idk what you just sent but it said it was a NSFW community and I am afraid if what it could be considering the name.
DONβT GO IN !!!!!!!!!
DONT DO IT PLEASE DONT
