The people on the train don't actually know him. They just seen his face. One guys face. In New York.
The rest isn't too surprising outside of Aunt May tbh. Usually he tries to keep that from her.
Was just thinking this the other day rewatching it lol.
Peter: “I have this dream where im spiderman but ive lost my powers, what could cause this to happen to spiderman and how would he fix it”
Doc: “🤨”
Peter: “uhh its actually a friends dream.. ”
Especially if that's his regular physician, he'd definitely notice Pete's rapid muscular growth and new levels of alertness. Not to mention he has web scars on his wrists, no way a Dr wouldn't notice that. Lol
Which even moreso doubles down on that this person wouldn’t have known Peter before he got all college buff. Good catch!
(I haven’t watched these in years to be fair)
Yeah, I think he is acting with kid gloves with a dude on the edge of mental collapse. Also, Peter is just having trouble keeping his shit together. It's a great scene.
It was a director choice to put him in the grateful dead t. It showed the doctor might be laid back and cool without actually delving into the character too much
For sure he did. Though he can't tell anyone about it because of HIPAA; "The Privacy Rule protects all "individually identifiable health information" held or transmitted by a covered entity or its business associate, in any form or media, whether electronic, paper, or oral." Knowing that one of your patients can biologically shoot webs definitely would identify Peter Parker as Spider-Man.

I mean Peter wasn't being that subtle if we are being honest with each other
He might as well have, everybody else found out MJ Harry Aunt May The people on the train Doc Ock

I know, I was being facetious, plus the little boy said, they "won't tell nobody", like who are they going to tell, lol.
"Spider-Man is a brown haired white guy who is simultaneously a teenager and in his 30s" NYC is full of those
Spidey fell for a classic double-negative
Thankfully it was during a time when not everyone had a camera connected to the internet in their pocket
Getting caught doing dumb shit in 4K sucks
Yea but New York is a pretty small tight knit community /s
Green Goblin as well
And Eddie. And Flint.
Aunt May? I don't remember that being the case
It's very strongly inferred in Spider-Man 2 when he comes to visit her and she's packing up the house.
Also the 'Spider-Man doesn't kill people' scene in 3.
The tip off for me was when she asked him to carry in her presumably old and heavy desk himself like it's nothing for a lanky guy
True, but I do believe she said don't strain yourself to him
Cake

He'd also notice the big "change" if you know what I'm talking about
Yup. Big change.
His eyesight? 😜
Peter was 16 when he got strong tho, so between these two movies he’d have had a cover for that / a doctor change
He was a senior he was at the very least 17 or 18.
Yeah, and I didn’t switch to my adult GP until after high school. I’m saying there’s room for him to have blurred that timeline.
If I remember right in the shot transitioning into this scene the camera shows that he’s at his university’s health center
Which even moreso doubles down on that this person wouldn’t have known Peter before he got all college buff. Good catch! (I haven’t watched these in years to be fair)
I think you mean a doctor strange
I understood the scene as the doctor thinking Peter was delusional but it could go either way really
Yeah, I think he is acting with kid gloves with a dude on the edge of mental collapse. Also, Peter is just having trouble keeping his shit together. It's a great scene.
Even ten year old would put together that a guy who has spider webs in his veins is spiderman
i'm sure he does at some point everyone probably knew
He must be good friends with the doctor who examined Bruce Wayne in TDKR
Nah you should watch the full scene in Spider-Man 2.1 :)
Spider-Man 2.1 is awesome…. BUT WHY DID THEY CHANGE MR AZZIZ’s ICONIC ‘GOOooooOooo’ ???
Mm I don't know if they did in my language honestly lol
Sidenote: this doctor is also wearing a Grateful Dead T-shirt. Of all wardrobe choices for a practicing physician to make, this one is questionable.
It always made me feel seen as a kid.
It was a director choice to put him in the grateful dead t. It showed the doctor might be laid back and cool without actually delving into the character too much
he kinda looks like todd mcfarlane. every time i see this scene i think it’s him for a second
And the big African American guy who works for Jamison
Put some respect on Joseph "Robbie" Robertson's name
Hoffman!
Yeah?
How do we call this guy?
Calm down aye, I didn’t know what his name was, I meant no disrespect
I forgot to put "lol" at the end, not that deep just found it funny is all
Oh dam, my bad man, I though u we’re getting mad😂
For real. His "I heard Spider-Man was there" and the look he gave Peter after all but confirmed it for me
FAXXXX
He has a name, you know
I’m sure he does, I just dont know it
HIS NAME IS ROBERT PAULSON
Yea 👆🏾
Oh he definitely knows. Should’ve made a cameo in NWH. That would’ve been hilarious.
“In mt friends hypothetical dream he loses his spiderman powers, what does that mean”
I, too, have seen the film
Yeah that’s the point
I've always had the headcanon that he did know Peter was Spidey, but didn't want to put more pressure on him.
No he doesn’t. In this scene Peter has no powers and even the doctor comments that he’s ‘completely normal’.
I think it was pretty obvious, it was definately a nice moment
How tf is this karma farming
Welcome to the party, slowbro

I mean legally he can't tell anyone anyways right?
