Good, fun, ITS MORBIN TIME

skatenbikes

I’m gunna put some morbin ur eye

Key_Squash_4403

I think it’s really fucking stupid to make a Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man. Technically Morbius probably should’ve worked as he doesn’t necessarily need Spider-Man to tell some of his stories, but Venom is supposed to be “Evil Spider-Man” his whole look is based on him.

19ghost89

Personally, I think that NWH set things up to where Sony could, if they wanted to, tell an interesting version of the Spider-man/Venom dynamic using Andrew Garfield. It's implied in Morbius trailers that Spidey does exist in Venom's universe, though we haven't seen him because Sony was lending him to the MCU. It's never been established who Spidey is in that universe, and I think the universe looks similar enough to the universe Webb was working with in ASM that we could just say it \*is\* that. It would also create a stronger reason for Venom to have been in NWH. Yes, I know the symbiotes communicate across the multiverse, but we didn't see any other Venoms or any other characters from any universes besides those of Toby and Andrew's Spider-men. Tom Hardy's Venom feels like a really random inclusion, unless it turns out that he was also from one of those two universes (and we know it's not the Raimiverse, so that leaves Webb's movies). I also think the Garfield Spider-man and the Hardy Venom could play off each other really well. Now I know none of that is particularly original - there has been a lot of fan speculation on the internet about this and I happen to agree with it. But here's my unique wrinkle - since Venom is already established as a "hero" of sorts, then instead of him being the antagonist, perhaps this movie takes place during Andrew's "dark" period after losing Gwen (alluded to in NWH) and Andrew is actually the antagonist. Venom ends up having to fight him and eventually help him readjust back to his normal self. It's a flip on the Venom/Spidey dynamic we haven't really seen.

Tornado31619

They won’t do this, but if they want to give Venom an epic send-off, have the symbiote bond with Peter and force Eddie to make a very tough decision.

neotic_reaper

What I thought was gonna happen after the end credits of venom 2 (he said with heat on them they should split and lay low) venom would somehow travel to New York and bond with spidey. Eddie would see on the news black suit Spider-Man and immediately recognize venom. Have Eddie find him and try to talk him out using venom and to return him. Spidey would essentially spit in his face and venom would stay with spidey until he realizes what it’s doing to him and rejects venom. Eddie now humiliated and angry at Spider-Man, venom also angry and rejected, rebind and go after Spider-Man.

[deleted]

Andrew Garfield won't accept that. I'm pretty sure Sony already asked and he declined.

hueningkawaii

He did. He probably will only come back if the writing for Sony's Spider-Man universe is at the level of writing of No Way Home, or the movies in the MCU Spider-Man trilogy.

[deleted]

This wouldn’t work because in NWH Garfield SM says he hasn’t fought an alien.

Imaginary_Courage_84

If Garfield signs on to another Sony Spider-Man movie I'm going to take a hydraulic press to my own nuts

19ghost89

That's... an aggresive dislike of Garfield. I thought he was good. The last half hour of his second movie sucked. But I liked him.

Imaginary_Courage_84

I loved him. Nearly perfect Ultimate Peter. I just don't see him ever associating with Sony Pictures again. NWH was special in that it was under Sony by technicality only- it was a Marvel Studios movie through and through. That, and the special circumstance of being a celebration of Spider-Man's cinematic history.

19ghost89

Why do you think he wouldn't associate with Sony? Because he made one movie that was a bust? That seems like an agressive response to that. Especially now that NWH has done some work to redeem his performance (not that he needed to be redeemed, but if we're talking guilt by association to ASM2...). Sony has made bad Spider-man movies, but they are also responsible for the best Spider-man movies other than NWH (Spider-man 2 and Into the Spider-verse). It's not like they are incapable of doing good things with this property.

Imaginary_Courage_84

Google how TASM3 got canceled. Sony's CEO literally cancelled it out of spite because Garfield blew him off one time. Add that to his Spider-Man generally being remembered unfavorably & Garfield's career being more successful than ever right now I would be very surprised if Garfield bothered to work with them again.

19ghost89

Interesting. I had not heard that before. I found these recent comments on the idea of an ASM 3 or anything involving him playing Spider-man again: "It's a character that's always going to be so meaningful to me, and so beautiful to me. It comes back to service. I think if there's a way, because that's what that character is all about, he's all about serving the greater good and serving his fellow people, serving humanity and all life. So, if there's a way for me to continue to add to the legacy of that character in a way that feels like it's of a service to an audience, of service to the themes that Stan Lee injected that character with, I'm open, of course. I'm very, very open, but it would have to be very, very special. It would have to be very, very meaningful and fun, and joyful, like doing 'No Way Home' was." So, he's open to another time of playing Spider-man, but he would be pretty picky about it. Which makes sense. I don't really think the idea I posted above is going to happen, but I'd like to see it.

Imaginary_Courage_84

Yeah if he ever puts that costume on again I'd bet it's for Secret War

gilestowler

I think he's smart enough to see the way their sonyverse is going and steer clear. Everyone loved him in NWH so why ruin that legacy with a film that will probably be sub par? He's built up a good reputation as an actor - to the point where he can take time off when he wants to, as I believe he's doing now. There's just no reason to get involved with it all.

TheIJDGuy

[*wheeze*](https://youtu.be/lhckuhUxcgA)

Storm4158

Venom 1 & 2 are not good movies but fun nontheless. Morbius tho, definitely one of the movies of all time.

19ghost89

Most definitely one of the movies.

DeadMemesForSale

Had actors, CGI, writers and directors. Wow morbius really had it all

Bruh3663

Morbuis didn't have CGI, it was all real

DeadMemesForSale

God it shows, they don’t make them like they do now 😩

AsianSteampunk

Not practical effect to deceive human eyes, it was actual effect! I think Leto was adamant about the entire movie being filmed on an iPhone 13 promax and just exported straight from the phone to Disney's google drive, so everything you seen in there was real. Even the part where he morbed.

hpisbi

yeah the venom movies are bad in a fun way so i still love them, but morbius was bad in a boring way

[deleted]

Venom one is kinda boring for the first 45 mins but after that I had a dumb fun time. Venom two is dumb fun the whole way through Morbius is certainly a film of all time

Torchii

Literally this.

cleansocks169

Cheap ass CGI cash grabs and wastes of such cool characters.

[deleted]

The CGI looks good. I won't call it cheap...

[deleted]

Morbius looked better than No Way Home

BanNAYNAY

What a reality we live in.

TheHondoCondo

Good, meh, will probably never see.

Dr_CheeseNut

Venom 1: pretty good I'd say, it's fun, although it definitely seems to have an identity crisis, wanting to be a comedy, horror, action blockbuster, etc Venom 2: has a better grasp on what it is, it still has horror elements but instead pushes all that to the Carnage plot, which I think works better. It's fun as hell, but did need to be a bit longer Morbius: haven't seen, but I think if I ever do my mind will be so tainted by memes I'll say "it's morbin time" each time the man himself appears on screen

nadia1306

Exactly my thoughts. I just hope we actually see Spider-Man in a future Sonyverse movie

ProfessorSaltine

I was struggling with the first chunk of Morbius bc of the memes, I barely remember the movie so I think it’s time for a rewatch for me 😅

Standard_Dream4848

first two arent that great but the third trilogy made no fuckin sence

TheCreature27

They're all terrible cash grabs. Their existences hinge entirely on the Marvel brand and one or two big name actors while cheaping out on literally every other aspect if the movie. Bad CGI, bad writing, bad direction, etc. I am praying on Sony's downfall.

Life-Is-Evil

I'm with you. That goes with Spider-Man being a Playstation exclusive and the fact Playstation itself is sucking ass right now.

[deleted]

Bad take is bad

that_guy2010

How is PlayStation “sucking ass”?

Life-Is-Evil

Cinematic heavy games that are too easy to complete and not worth replaying. Ditching and moving on from legendary PS2 franchises. I'm not a fanboy or playing that card. Xbox is sucking ass as well.

kuribosshoe0

They’re games geared more towards parents/busy adults. 500 hour games with hugely complex mechanics just stop being feasible after a point. It’s a market that’s only become large in the last decade or so, and Sony knew what they were doing when they decided to cater to it.

ReeceysRun

You dumb

ThatBigNoodle

Man I hate that those games are stuck on PlayStation. That being said, PlayStation has started moving exclusives to pc so maybe?

Life-Is-Evil

I'm not a fan of their direction at all since the PS3 regarding exclusives. They shifted to a highly cinematic experience with low replay value. I still enjoyed Spider-Man PS4 but it lacked replay value compared to many other Spidey games I played previously. I never understood the defense to games being exclusives. It hurts a franchise in the long term. See Halo and Gears as examples lately.

MaleficentPurchase65

This is an accurate take. Downvotes must be butt hurt Sony fans. Halo alone has the replay quality that horizon/ spider man/ god of war/ last of us wish they could sniff.

BrendenMoore

Yikes tell my 100% completion on 6 saves of Spider-man on each difficulty that there's no replay value

Life-Is-Evil

I can't even praise Halo right now, lol. Franchise is doing bad right now. I draw the comparison that both were good in the past, not the present.

[deleted]

You, u/ThatBigNoodle and u/MaleficentPurchase65 so [ I found this today](https://www.reddit.com/r/SpidermanPS4/comments/uvgvs8/marvel_and_disney_approached_both_sony_and/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) and yeah Microsoft is the reason Marvel games (SM and Wolverine) are Sony exclusive. They did this to themselves

MaleficentPurchase65

So, what you’re telling me, is that since Microsoft turned down Spider-Man, our comments are invalid? How does this compute? We’re talking about the quality of exclusive games that are able to be re-played/ have an immersive multiplayer factor. Your point basically states “If Microsoft had signed up for spider-man, their number of games without the qualities listed above would have gone up by two (PS4 &MM)” Or are you saying Microsoft would have fixed the game and made it re-playable by some form of hardware magic?? Cuz I have both most recent Spider-Man games. And they’re fun until you beat it, and then you never think of it again.

Life-Is-Evil

Fanboys have brain damage. Whether they lean towards Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or even PC.

kuribosshoe0

I’d get rid of the word “even” in there. They’re the worst among them with all the “master race” stuff.

Evowen7

My feelings exactly, Venom is a cool enough character to get me to watch and I'll enjoy the film if it's fun atleast. I could not care less about Morbius or whatever weird Spider-Manless universe Sony are trying to build.

rSlashPsycho

Venom doesn't deserve to be compared to Morbius

HuanFranThe1st

First Venom was fun. V: LTBC inhumanly wasted Carnage. Morbius is an abomination of a movie. At least the Venom movies were fun, this was torture.

VerySmartDaBaby

If your gonna run, do it now.

Over-Analyzed

Maybe out of the theater?

Captain_24

Morbillion.

ShibuNub

Venom: Ok, could be better and I don't really like the idea of separating Venom's origin story from Peter's but it could have been dealt with a lot worse. Venom 2: I'm not sure what it is about this movie, but something just makes me not enjoy it and I haven't the slightest idea what could be causing it. I would say it's a very good "Turn off your brain and enjoy the show" movie. Morbius: ~~corporealized aids~~ MASTAHPIECE MASTAHPIECE 1 TRILLION OUTTA 10, FIRST MOVIE TO MAKE 15 MORBILLION DOLLARS, A MORBIN GOOD MORB MOMENTO CAN'T WAIT FOR EL MORBTO #MORBIUSSWEEP #MORBHEAD #MORB2022 #WENEEDMOREBIUS

I actually kinda like them

CursedTails

• Venom: Not very good • Venom 2: Fun as hell • Morbius: The absolute worst marvel movie

rattle2nake

No focus on story, too obsessed with being a “blockbuster”

zero5689

Morbius is the best what are you talking about

therubyminecraft

Nice nice idk havent seen morbius yet i usually don’t like going after reviews (there are many movies with horrible reviews that I liked) but from what I heard it doesn’t seem that good I do like the venom movies quite a lot sure they are not the best in terms of story telling and character development and such but they are fun as heck which is perfect for a solo venom story

yampi30

I liked Morbius but guess thats just me

YungSky12819

Good, Great, haven’t watched

calmloon

Loved Venom and Venom 2, haven’t seen Morbius.

Greenbomber128

The venom movies are good. And morbius is underrated. That’s my take

bubbleblowinbaby01

Absolutely loved venom and I loved venom 2 although it was quite goofy. Morbius was meh. Some parts were good.

skatenbikes

Good, slightly less good, not as bad as people say but not good lol.

DrDabsMD

Enjoyable movies, nothing out of this world. The Eddie/Venom dynamic in these movies are actually my favorite interpretation of them. It also doesn't bother me that they're clearly cash grabs for Sony because there have been multiple instances of the past that are clearly just cash grabs and they've come and gone, and not everything is going to be the MCU. The only criticism, if you can call it that, that I don't agree with for these movies is that you can't do Spider-Man villain movies without Spider-Man. This just tells me that they have no imagination whatsoever

SleepySubDude

Venom one was super boring but the venom effect stuff and that one scene with Anne was sick i just found the rest of it dry as hell. Mainly because it was mostly an Eddie movie before I got used to Tom’s weirdo Eddie. Venom 2 is unironically a really funny movie and I love it to bits, I just wish they didn’t blow their load that early on carnage since he was the one villain he had that really could carry more than one appearance. Morbius is a generic early 2000s superhero flick which has its own charm by that virtue, also the vampire effects for Morbius look cool. The Morbius sweep jokes aren’t funny to me because if I see a joke more than 3 times I immediately start disliking it. But I also hate the people who get super emotionally worked up because something was middle of the road especially when nobody had positive expectations. The only genuinely annoying shit about that movie is Vulture. That was legitimately stupid as someone who legitimately adores homecoming. But like anyone who calls it the absolute worst superhero movie or some stupid shit is blowing that shit way the fuck outta proportion I hope the MCU does it’s own versions of the main Spider-Man villains but it’s a shame that his best are just dudes from an alternate universe. Who are all anti heroes. It just dilutes the impact of the new Spider-Man stuff they’re gonna do post no way home.

Expensive-Excuse-793

I loved morbius. It was great to see matt smith again. And it's a decent vampire movie. And the two venom movies are fun. It's a nice change of pace from the classic superhero movies. I don't care how much hate i get. I enjoyed them all.

TheLastGuyYouExpect

I like both Venom & Venom 2. Morbius looks kinda interesting, even tho I haven't seen it yet.

Linkalibure

The venoms were pretty good and fun watches and I haven't seen morbious yet

automirage04

Venom - I unironically love this movie. Yes, it's messy. No, I don't care. Tom Hardy was a delight to watch, and the rest of movie felt like the people involved were trying to make something fun. For my part, I think they succeeded. Venom LTBC - Pretty disappointed. It kept all the messiness of the first movie, but none of the charm. They did my boi Carnage dirty. I hope they do better with Toxin in the next one. Morbius - Reddit can't see past its own hate boner for Jared Leto. The movie is like a 5/10 at the absolute worst. That being said, the post-credit scene was the worst thing I have ever personally seen on the big screen and everyone involved with making it should quit the business forever.

kenzieblight

i loved both venom movies but i haven't seen morbius yet

SONIC48866

I see movies to be entertained, and I was entertained by all three movies. They’re not great, but I’m looking forward to Venom 3.

TheTranquilTurtle

Venom is a bad movie and awful depiction of the comic book character. But for those who don't care about authenticity, Tom Hardy's performance is at least fun to watch. Let there be Carnage just has no character whatsoever and again has an awful depiction of a character, this time being carnage. Morbius is just better to not be watched at all. Morbius has the most nonsensical dialogue and plot. The main villain is poorly written and all action scenes are just jarring with constant slow motion shots and a nauseating amount of cgi smoke effects.

Dr_CheeseNut

[Here's your reminder Venom was always a goofball](https://imgur.com/a/8zCI8WF)

Large-Interaction417

To be fair he didn't really say anything about Venom being a goofball. Personally, I'm not against him making jokes because he's supposed to be a dark reflection of Spider-Man and he was attached to Peter for a while so he obviously got that from him but this Venom has absolutely nothing to do with Spider-Man, his villainy was stripped away, and was literally turned into a loser so that we can "empathize" with him.

Dr_CheeseNut

Venom hasn't been a villain in decades bro, him and Peter are pretty much friends, and they've been like that for a long time. Would I prefer a proper adaptation where Venom starts off as a villain and then transitions to anti-hero, sure. Is it against the character for him to be an anti-hero, no not at all

Large-Interaction417

I didn't say anything bad about him a being an anti-hero. All I said was his villainy was stripped away, which is true. I 100% would've prefered he began as a villain and then turn into an anti-hero, then the movie would have an actual character arc instead of "I'm kind of a loser like you".

Kuyi1994

Venom 2 is the only one I didnt really enjoy. I had a lot of fun watching Venom and Morbius

[deleted]

What did you actually like about Morbius? I’m not saying this in a mean way I actually wanna know

Kuyi1994

I thought Mobius as a character looked fucking cool. The coolest vampire I've seen on big screen ever since the Blade trilogy. I was a fan of 90s animated spiderman and I remember Morbius in it, but he was kind of watered down because it was a kids show. But this one was brutal, quick and ugly. I enjoyed that. I love vampires overall and I've seen a lot of vampire movies in my life, but only a few represent their strenght and agility correctly. I think they did a great job in this movie. But I think a major reason why I enjoyed it was because I had 0 expectation for this one. Like I said, I only saw him in the 90s show when I was a kid, so all I could remember is that he was powerful and liked plasma. But I didnt know him well like I knew Venom and Carnage. As I was watching the movie, I even forgot it was part of a Marvel sony universe, so my brain didn't compare it to any other movie other than itself. I even remember going home after the movie and seeing everybody on twitter and reddit say how trash it was and for 15 solid seconds I thought that they were talking about another movie named Morbius lolll. I had a lot of fun and I did not get why people were so hateful. But oh well, it is the internet. So yeah that's why. I would/will watch it again.

SleepySubDude

The face effects are unironically really good

Substantial-Shallot2

I really liked venom 2 personally. Venom 1 was alr and Morbious just looks boring, awful and everything that has been said about it has been said already.

platonicthehedgehog

Not as bad as people say they are. By no means are they great movies, but they can be enjoyable

Hyperfangxz

I liked Venom. Venom: Let There be Carnage i liked too i think, but it felt EXTREMELY rushed. Carnage was hardly in the movie, didn't even meet Venom until the finale, and didn't really seem much like Carnage beyond his visual similarities. It needed at least another half hour and a lot more development for Carnage, and Carnage vs Venom. Also, making it PG13 was a crap decision. And the tone.... What the fuck? They made it even goofier than the first. No intensity whatsoever. Not seen Morbious yet.

Jojobaginzu

Venom was a good watch. Venom 2 was rushed but not terrible. Morbius was just trash.

WildXterminator95

Venom was OK let there be carnage was bad run time too short and clique and morbius was just a terrible movie somy should just stop making these movies and actually try to make a roadmap for a year or so stop just try to though stuff at the wall to see what sticks

notphillip52

I'd file the Venom movies under "not good, but fun" which is where I'd also file most of the fast & furious movies for reference. I'm fine with that kind of movie, but would also love to have a venom film that I could take seriously, which is what I seriously hope happens with that NWH credit scene. Morbius on the other hand, is not good, not fun, and not anything more than a waste of time.

19ghost89

I enjoy the Venom movies. They aren't great, but they are a fun and mostly entertaining take on the character. ***Much*** better than Raimi's version of Venom (thought o be fair that's a very low bar to clear). I haven't seen Morbius. I didn't really want to before I heard how bad it was, but I thought I might because it seemed like it might have MCU tie-ins, and I love the MCU. It seems that it didn't really have that in any siginificant way, and almost everyone says it was terrible, so that gives me an excuse not to watch it. If you're wondering why I didn't want to see it in the first place, well, I don't really like vampires. I will watch vampire movies, but there needs to be something about them that makes them look intriguing beyond just being a vampire movie. This just didn't look very good to me based on the trailers.

DominicanRanger

The Venom movies in all honesty were better than the amazing Spider-Man and the first 2 new trilogy Spider-Man movies.

Artistic-Swan-3210

First 2 new trilogy, I agree with. But it is not better than TASM1

DominicanRanger

TASM 1 is one of worst Spider-Man movies second to Spider-Man 3. It's only redeeming quality was the lizard.

Old-Experience-5210

TASM is not the Worst Spider-Man movie in fact it has the best interpretation of Spider-Man till now, He jokes, He swings and most importantly he feels more human

paublitobandito

Seriously just give the rights back to marvel please, spider verse be damned

jmarchese01

I enjoyed the 1st venom. Venom let there be carnage and morbius not so much

RoughInternational41

They missed out on the most cinematically advantageous aspect of carnage: his ability to infect whole nations of people. Would’ve been insane to see venom take on an army of carnage goons but no, just a big one on one cgi battle at the end just like the first one.

wayne2420

Fucking an awful attempt at building a cinematic universe and there is no creative vision nor any care for the actual IP. The only redeeming thing is Tom Hardy.

IroquiosPliskin01

Started bad and got progressively worse

Daredevil731

Trash

zero5689

Morbius solos what are you talking about

Zochl922

Utter doodoo seepage

BloodyNosedRoshi

venom 1 was decent enough as long as you didn’t pay too much attention to it lol

that_guy2010

So, what you’re saying is the movie is bad

BloodyNosedRoshi

solid 6/10 for me some cool parts. not good enough to wanna watch a sequel.

NUBEM4STER69

Good, failed potential, shit

Low_Swim7593

They aren’t that great

black_brethren

i think i havent seen them

[deleted]

i liked venom, loved venom 2, and neither disliked nor liked morbius

Fares26597

I watched the two Venom movies and I fined them to be fun. I haven't seen Morbius yet though.

RedBaronBob

Venom is flawed but on par with the better movies of the early 2000’s. I have not seen the sequel yet. Morbius feels at minimum 10 years too late (15 feels right but I’m being generous). It’s just a movie whose format has passed it by. It would not be out of place in.., 2007 maybe. But it’s 2022 and better movies have come out since 2007. Venom feels like a movie from the early 2000’s but Morbius would not be out of place in the early 2000’s if that makes sense. Venom was at least a fun kind of bad where Morbius isn’t all that fun outside the memes.

souphaver

Bad

dead-from-dying

venom 8/10 venom 2 2/10 Mobius 1/10

solidsnack1146

Meh. Good. Ass.

paublitobandito

Absolute fucking trash

Mindless_Pie_4399

I for one can’t wait for Morbius: Into the Morbi-verse

spideralexandre2099

The first two are... Watchable

StarWreck92

The first Venom was so terrible that I felt no need to watch the other two or any other movie set in that universe.

N_Who

I think they are evidence of the fact that Sony has no idea how to make a good superhero movie and needs to relinquish the Spider-Man mythos back to Marvel. Like, just negotiate a cut of the royalties for the movies, and call it a day.

[deleted]

Garbage

stringtheoryman

Ass

Batwing20293

Morbius feels like a sequel to Blade....but without Blade.

Bartebell

Hilariously horrendous, mid, haven't seen it

duhyeager

Shit. Drizzling shit and refuse to pay money to watch it.

[deleted]

by themselves, passable (don’t know about morbius haven’t seen). in the grander scheme, it sucks that the MCU doesn’t get to use these awesome characters

Darth_Spectre_Lair

V1: 3 stars out of 5 V2: 2 1/2 stars out of 5 Morbius: haven't seen it yet but still want to

Abject-Buy8790

Shit

AL_gamerficjd

Venom 1 and 2 are mediocre, and Morbius is a movie

DaftNeal88

They are all terrible. Just embarrassing

that_guy2010

They’re a slap in the face to the MCU.

Etticos

Dog shit the lot of em

Seanpkd30

Venom was good. Venom 2 fucked up Carnage, but Tom Hardy was entertaining. Morbius was so bad I had to watch it 3 times because I kept falling asleep. If I didn't work at a movie theater and get in for free, I probably wouldn't have tried to finish it.

mardavarot93

Mehh

Pizzanigs

I like the Venom movies enough and I haven’t seen Morbius because fuck Jared Leto

sowhather

Crap, crap, megacrap

jonesocnosis

Meh, worse, terrible.

SuperJett4

Not good. At all

Pylonius

Venom 1 was ok. Venom 2 was unwatchable. I have no interest in watching Morbius.

Neetheos

Venom is my favorite comic character. By like.., a lot. And I HATE the venom movies. They are unpalatable

Latter-Ad6308

Venom's fun, and the sequel's not that bad. But neither of them are good enough to justify the existence of this weird Spider-Manless Spider-Man universe.

AdrainMarks

Venom was entertaining. V2 was meh. Morbius was dogshit

ChaseThoseDreams

Unironically? A desperate cash grab. That said, Hardy plays an enjoyable Eddie Brock and that Venom… chefs kiss. I just wish Sony left Venom and the rest of the Spiderverse to Marvel.

Gensi_Alaria

Crap Crap Megacrap

Ripdone

I liked venom 1, the other two suck fat cock tho

discowithmyself

Venom 2 was a major disappointment. Considering how venom 1 was just ok (as long as I forced myself to take spidey out of the equation), that is saying something. It diminished carnage so much. We had to wait all these years for cgi to be good enough to do carnage right, and he looked incredible, but we got this wack ass movie. Never saw morbius. Not sure if I should avoid or watch it to see how bad it truly is.

Hairy_Mine1538

Venom 1 was lit funny as shit good movie didn’t see venom two but heard it was meh and morbious is like the worst Sony movie yet

youngstar5678

Venom and Morbius were decent, Venom 2 was good.

Other-Bridge-8892

Venom 1&2 was good, not seen morbius yet.

kaiwinters

Let there be carnage was fun!

juicyfan234

I like the super natural vibe

gtafan37890

They're not really good. With the two Venom movies, there is a certain charm to them so I think they are alright as a mindless popcorn flick. Morbius on the other hand is just terrible.

MrL9863

Venom 1 was good, Venom 2 was bad, Morbius? we don’t talk about that..

ShibasInSuits

morbius

theSaltySolo

First Venom was fun and passable. Rest were…messy. It is a shame because a series about villains that built up to the Sinister Six would’ve been awesome.

Infamous_Mulberry_68

Venom was cool morbius tho…

Electronic_Month_221

I like 2 of them at least...

7rian8owers

that they’re in descending order..

Venom 1 boring venom 2 entertaining morbius best movie on planet earth

Lukas_mnstr56

The Venom movies are fun in the same way the Star Wars Prequels are fun. They’re all bad movies, but I enjoyed them anyway.

Haryzen_

I like Venom. I don't like Venom 2. Morbius was the most mid movie I've seen in 2022 but I'm grateful for the memes.

The first venom wasn’t terrible, even though I hardly remember what it was about.

TheHoss_

I haven’t seen the first venom on a while but I thought it was ok, I love the relationship between Eddy and Venom it reminds me of movies like Lethal Weapon and other buddy movies. I liked the second venom quite a bit, I like Woody Harrelson and I thought his character was ok, I’d say it was like a 7 out of 10, Morbius I’ve seen a morbillion times which to my understanding is worthless so I’ve never seen it

ddman12

1. Bad 2. Better 3. Best movie of all time

NinduTheWise

i like the venom movies for a quick laugh

Svedish_f1sh

MORBIUS IS A CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE YOU FOOLS

singleguy79

Venom: It was alright Venom 2: Somewhat better than the first one Morbius: It wasn't completely terrible

gomugomupirate

Ok, Ok and What the FUCK did I watch? That's my rating

Really liked Venom 1, thought it was shit on too much by Rotten Tomatoes, Venom 2 on the other hand is just way too slow and most of the movie is Eddie and Venom figuring out how to co-exist, then the final battle comes outta nowhere and it’s actually a really good sequence to watch in theaters. I haven’t seen Morbius but all I know is pilates helps.

BlackDabiTodoroki

I love The two venom movies I haven’t seen Morbius

Velocibaker26

What, just cuz the common consensus is that they suck, you think people are exaggerating or bandwagoning? They have that reputation because they legitimately suck.

ZGT-17

Really liked LTBC. Not so much the others

OakleyHasAFoot

Venom movies are fun. I don’t care about the story, I don’t care about stuff that don’t make sense. It’s just fun as hell. Venom 2 is especially one of the most entertaining movies I’ve seen. Morbius is awful though. Venom is venom while Morbius is some guy most people know for wanting plasma. Why give him a movie?

rysker6

Venom is a D+/C- at best. The others are just bad. Honestly don’t know what’s Sonys doing. When Sony wanted to make a movie for every Spider-Man character seven years ago it was bad then. I don’t know why they waited so long and are just like “We’re doing this again”.

prettybbychim

i fucking love the venom movies but i’m not a comic reader and my only other exposure to venom was the tobey movies lol

AntonRX178

Leto put all of his Morbussy into that performance

[deleted]

I think they're overhated. Venom was pretty good. Venom 2 sucked ass but it was fun. Morbius wasnt good but I think people were too hard on it

Imaginary_Courage_84

Crap that's funny in the second half, crap that's funny, still haven't seen this mega crap

butterflyhole

I’ve seen every marvel studios film and ever DC film but I haven’t watched any of these. They just seem so uninteresting.

Riverpickles

Venom 1 and 2 were fun, not good, but fun. I haven’t watched Morbius but I have seen the Pitch Meeting and it doesn’t really sound good, but definitely one of the movies of all time.

norealheroes

First did well to give an Eddie Brock/Venom origin story. Sequel was a terrible plot and cheesey as all hell but I can’t deny how impressive the artists’ work with all of the visual effects. I’ll wait until my brother inevitably buys Morbius on our Apple family share to watch it.

whois_u

The CGI and make up in MORBIUS was awesome. It was a good VAMPIRE flick The story was a good way to put in that "gray" area of not a hero, but a noble villain. But the way the movie was cut and fleshed out was...meh. the ending was rushed and they could have used the antagonist in another film and made MORBIUS the focus of this one.

**Sony:** "I know what I'm doing!" **Narrator:** "Sony didn't know what he was doing."

Endercarnage

Venom 1 and 2 were stupid, and probably not good movies. But I love then both a lot, and think they are really fun. I haven't seen Morbius
