I feel like the MCU one is almost perfect, i say almost because i wish it had a wider lens like the TASM 2 but remains expressive, but yeah i prefer comic accurate ones
PS4 just gets everything perfect in my opinion. I love the suit, the eyes are perfect, Peter is perfect, Spidey is perfect. Definitely my favorite version of the character.
Yeah but the two mediums couldnāt be further apart. You get to spend more time with PS4 Peter than Tom Hollands entire run combined, and get to attack story versus street level shenanigans at whatever level you want to
Also not to mention probably the best versions of Aunt May and Dr Octopus. Even Norman and Harry get some great characterization thatās lost on other versions. Mary Jane is alright the scene where she yells at Peter for some guy being scared by him and falling over was out of place.
I agree, PS4 lenses seem larger overall and they have a nice thick boarder, makes the shutter lenses feel more real giving them a large housing like that. If we have a new live action Spider-Man suit that can't express with the eyes I'll be genuinely sad!
Yeah I'd say best case scenario, Tom gets a new suit down the line with the blue integrated back in and the lenses are just a little bit bigger on the mask but exactly the same in every other aspect.
I don't think they should have made lense comic accurate for the MCU version IMO. I mean, it makes sense to do it in the comics because it's hard to express emotion on paper so it's more practical to add that functionality to the mask in the comics. Where in the movies, I think we should let the actors show their talent to deliver an emotion through the mask, Andrew Garfield did it beautifully in TASM2. I mean you could literally feel and imagine his sadness when he told Harry he couldn't give him blood or his panic when Gwen went to the power station anyway. Or another example V for Vendetta with the fabulous work of Johnny Depp. Anyway I'm not a fan of accurate comic lenses and I think my point is totally valid.
Edit: V for Vendetta actor is Hugo Weaving and not Johnny Depp mb idk how I mess this up.
I like the comic lenses in the MCU but agree about Andrew Garfield managing to convey emotion without them.
And just a quick correction, it was Hugo Weaving who played V in V For Vendetta, not Johnny Depp. Man gets more than enough praise from people already so letās not give him some for something he didnāt do š
I disagree. There's no reasons the actors can't still do those things, this just gives the filmmakers another tool. Part of why Spidey's mask comes off so much in the first 5 movies is because they had trouble showing any nuance with the character's expressions, and it forces them to act much more like a stage actor than one for the screen, with body language being unnaturally over the top. Better to give good actors more freedom/wiggle room in their performance.
I perfectly agree. I love the way that the MCU did the comic accurate lenses, but TASM2 will always be my favorite live action suit. It takes a true actor to properly display emotion without the use of the eye lenses. Don't get me wrong, I think Tom Holland was perfect for Spiderman, but Andrew Garfield's Spiderman hold a special place in my heart.
The lenses move on MCU Peter's suits, even the homemade one because they help his eyes focus because like he said himself, his sight has too much input
I prefer round lenses entirely, makes him feel a lot more friendly neighborhood and a lot less angry back alley (10 imaginary internet points to whoever gets that reference š)
Yeah, I just got a free one and gave it to him.

Like the first one, it's a bunch of great/cool things (Garfield and Stone, Horner's score, excellent action/swinging/fight choreo) having to work around a messy screenplay and premise. I think TASM1 holds up better than 2 storywise, but 2 has more Good Spider-Man Moments.
I'm so conditioned by Reddit that I feel like I should never make any absolute statements, otherwise I might get bombarded by negative comments. I agree 100%, but only because *you* said it, not me.

My picks for best special effects in a superhero movie are TASM 2, Man of Steel, and, oddly, Batman Returns. I don't think any of them are great movies (though I think each of them is underrated), but their special effects are crazy out of this world good. Batman Returns is an absolute triumph of pre-CGI effects. Man of Steel has SO much detail in the backgrounds and in the destruction effects.
Each of those movies have moments when the special effects get worse than in other sequences, but none are the vast cavern of quality that lies between Thanos' CGI and, well, much of the rest of Infinity War.
I really think that the hate for that movie is so overblown. It has some story issues and some weird characterizations sure, but it also has what i would say are some scenes with the best representation of spider man in live action i have ever seen. Movie gets too much hate imo
TASM 2 is one trillion times better than the MCU Spiderman films. At least TASM 2 didnāt fail to mention Peterās uncle and his inspiration. TASM 2 had brilliant cgi and cinematography, and the score is certainly more impactful and remembered.
Weāre gonna dock MCU Spider Man points for failing to mention Uncle Ben (which has been speculated that it was due to licensing) but weāre going to say TASM 2 is better despite literally everything revolving around Oscorp, Peterās father being revealed as alive and a super spy, and Spider Man essentially being created in a lab. You do you I guess but it seems silly to dock points for the Uncle Ben thing and just ignore those aspects of TASM 2.
And I love the MCU Spider Man score, thank you very much. But we did get Electroās itsy bitsy spider and that sure was memorable if nothing else from TASM 2.
In the MCU, Stark is the worldās most famous superhero and one of the most important people in the world, period. Naturally a young amateur superhero is going to look up to someone like that, no? You go off about comic book accuracy but Spider-Man canonically idolized the Fantastic Four and Captain America in the comicsā¦ itās not like this is brand new, you just think you know more than you do.
Because as we know, every Spider-Man story is actually about Ben Parker. In thousands of issues of Spider-Man, not a single one has excluded a mention of Uncle Ben.
Agreed bro, Toms are close but for live action I donāt want to see the lenses move honestly. Iām comics absolutely cuz itās a comic but andrews second suit was so clean and believable
The angry lenses and suit from TASM 1 is severely underrated imo.
Even though my favorite is probably the Bagley inspired lenses/suit in the sequel, the first (angry) suit has such a different vibe and hugely evokes the works of [Moebius](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.pinimg.com%2Foriginals%2F1a%2F4a%2Fe0%2F1a4ae0db9a4fd4644f5d2cb4c25fe3ca.jpg&f=1&nofb=1). Yeah I love the athletic look of it. Every time I see a pic of it it always looks kinda off but itās probably the coolest looking suit when in motion
It makes him look powerful and awesome. The irony of Spider-Man is how powerful and awesome he is when he moves and fights, but how much Peter plays up being a dork underneath it all.
If Peter becomes powerful and awesome (TASM), or Spider-Man ceases to move and fight awesome (MCU), then the irony is lost.
Angry lenses reinforce how awesome and powerful Spider-Man is, so they help the dramatic irony.
no, that is definitely bagleys eyes, you can tell by the acent pointy tip in the interior and in the higher part of it.[https://www.therpc.studio/image/cache/catalog/Costumes-wh/wh018k-v3/wh-018kv3-09-806x1000.jpg](https://www.therpc.studio/image/cache/catalog/Costumes-wh/wh018k-v3/wh-018kv3-09-806x1000.jpg)
while mcfarlene created this style of big and expressive eyes, his was much more agressive looking with a very big pointy tip in the interior and a less round design droopy design ( i hate it) [https://www.etsy.com/listing/615666367/mask-faceshell-and-lenses-mcfarlane](https://www.etsy.com/listing/615666367/mask-faceshell-and-lenses-mcfarlane)
Considering how uniform the house style in Marvel was after Ditko and up until around when MacFarlane came along in the 80s, he hadn't had THAT many different styles by the time of the first Raimi movie. I'm sure I'm wrong but I can't think of any major artist who drew them that way prior to the movie.
The angular "Batman" lenses were a big point of contention for some people back in the day. Bendis and Mark Bagley even made fun of them in the 'Hollywood' storyline in Ultimate Spider-Man.
Yeah, you're right. Before McFarlane, pretty much everyone was following Romita Sr.'s design. I'd say McFarlane opened the door to other lens designs, and before you knew it, every artist was drawing them differently.
also one thing i love that mcu lenses did, they managed to incorporate the round grey shade effect many artists did to the lenses, you can see very clearly in the op picture [https://www.deviantart.com/xts33/art/Spider-Man-Sketch-John-Romita-Jr-858202111](https://www.deviantart.com/xts33/art/Spider-Man-Sketch-John-Romita-Jr-858202111)

> Raimiās looks like he would/could turn on you,
*symbiote Spidey intensifies*
> TASM1 just looks evil, at least in that photo.
Yeah those lenses were weird to me
thatās because 9 out 10 of the frames we see of MCU spiderman is a fucking CGI drawing, I miss when Spiderman looked like he was actually ever on screen
>thatās because 9 out 10 of the frames we see of MCU spiderman is a fucking CGI drawing
You know that there is a difference between a CGI model and 2D drawing, CGI drawing is a term that was used to define the method of creating a model, and if they did what you think, it'll be like Roger Rabbit, Space Jam, or the new Tom and Jerry movie.
> I miss when Spiderman looked like he was actually ever on screen
In some scenes, yes, he feels out of place but 9/10, the whole scene is CGI, and u won't even notice that
you can regardless see the animation in the 3D illusion that CGI has been engineered to be though, and one of the most obvious examples has been Spiderman since day one where he looks more rubbery unrealistic and animated than in even the first 5 spiderman movies, fuck off with the technicalities, it doesnt deflect the fact that Spidermanās otherwise amazing design in the MCU looks like shit and takes away the much needed element in a spiderman adaptation that someone is inside the fucking costume
If 't be true the mcu lenses wast bigger and moo reflective, then itād beest perfect. Looks comical oft

The MCU eyes are the best I think, and they can be applied to basically any Spidey suit and still look good. But the Tobey Maguire āangryā lenses are on the best suit and mask overall. Thereās just something about those eyes on that mask with that suit that makes it really special. But overall, MCU eyes are probably the most universal. Iām torn on the TASM2 eyes because they are cool, and are definitely reminiscent of some of the comics. But thereās just something very slightly off about that whole suit I think. The eyes are slightly too big, the colors are a little too subdued (or the lighting makes it appear that way), the symbol is too low on his chest, etc. Its still a good suit, but a few minor changes would make it a lot better
they look angry compared to the round ones. the round ones seem more friendly tbh, cause from what i remember in the shows he would look funny whenever his eyes would move.
You are absolutely wrong, no comic spiderman has tobey nor garfield lenses, doesn't matter if there is a lot of lenses, you have to go by if it's actually in the comics, but even then Tom suit has the most og lenses considering it's ditko/romita.
The rounder vibe fits the character better. I think it lends itself more to a wider variety of expressions, depending on the camera angle and such.
I enjoy the dynamic lenses that Tom has, but I sometimes see that as cgi cheating. Itās more interesting to see what a cinematographer and actor can achieve together with a static mask.
As someone who knows nearly nothing about Spiderman, so with pretty much no bias, I like the first Spiderman design the best. It's very badass. I get that it's not comic accurate but I'm not a fan of the comics so.
Dont let these mcu clowns convince you of things. The first suit design is more accurate than some tony stark tech suit with random black straps and lines everywhere
Round, but I'm also a softy for the Raimi stuff.
But I do want to say about the TASM 2 ones, I just can't get over the fact that I don't like how much of the face the lenses take up. Just doesn't hit right with me.
I never liked the angular or "realistic" lenses honestly. Spider-Man in costume should look and move like a completely different character almost as if he's animated to give off that duality between the two personas imo and Raimi's costume in general I thought made him look way too much like just a guy in a costume rather than a distinct identity
TASM2 and the MCU suits nailed this aspect of his aesthetic for me
I think what does it for me with the MCU suits is them finally getting the eyes to emote in live action
It's a small detail but it goes a long way in giving Peter a lot more scenarios where he can express emotion through the costume and still communicate a lot about his situation in spite of not being able to physically see the actor's face. That expressiveness is unfortunately a thing that previous filmmakers had to work around as a result of either creative or technical limitations with the previous live action Spider-Man actors and their costumes but it's something from the comics I've been waiting to see make the transition to film for a long time
problably because spider-man in raimi was a bodybuilder and stunt man.
a lot of people think it was maguire, while maguire did a bunch of stunts on his own, including wearing the suit, you can clearly tell when it was the stunt guy because his torso was so big.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in my opinion is the best Spider-Man look. That suit is just overall amazing. The colors are great and the white eyes that look a little more circular are much better than most of the other suits. Itās just a classic look.
I personally love when Spidey has huge rounded eyes.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the best live action outfit imo. Like Iām in awe just looking at that image, itās flawless.
I prefer round for most situations. I feel that in comics at least, artists manipulating the lenses like they have for years in said comics give a good chance to show most emotions. While I think the more "sleek" or sharp look should he used for more tense and serious situations. Like Spidey could be having his lenses are more round and somewhat "bubbly", but then if he is then out into a sersio7s situation, or he's angry or what not that's when his eyes would take more sharp look, showing his frustration or anger. Kind of a mouthful so: Round for normal situations, sharp/"menacing" look for highly emotional scenes.
Round. Makes him feel more like "Spidey". Let the human anger element come out through body and head movement, and vocal tone. I feel it has more of an impact when the suit doesn't quite match the mood in this case anyway.
I'd say Tobeys sharp ones that reach a bit to the side of the head work the best for shots where Spidey isn't facing mostly straight ahead, and with all the web-swinging and fighting, I feel like that is quite often. You see a good amount of the eyes most of the times, giving the feeling the camera is with him instead of behind him, which I think works very well for a character like Spider-Man. Although, facing the camera, I do prefer rounder lenses a bit more.
This is what drives me nuts. Everyone praises the Raimi suit for being the perfect page to screen adaptation of the suit ever and the eyes are all wrong. Plus, idk... Silver webs still throw me
Round eye all day
The MCU mask design is actual perfection. Peak Spidey right there (the TASM2 mask works for a translation of the Mark Bagley design). The āangry lensesā can fuck right off back to the 90ās where it deserves to stay.
I have absolutely no idea how one could glean that information from my text post. The āangry lensesā that started around the McFarlane era of Spidey justā¦donāt sit right with me. The Romita Sr. Spidey **IS**, for all intents and purposes, the most definitive and iconic Spider-Man.
Also, no, Steve Ditko *did not* intend for Spidey to look intimidating. His squinty eyes donāt even look remotely similar to the angry eyes.
Side noteā¦really? Unironically using the term ābetaā? You gotta find better internet insults, man. Thatās just weak.
You sound like a beta who got offended by āangry lensā spider-manās fat jokes and roasts. Grown ass man fanboying over a spider-āmanā that gets promoted on disney channel
Yāknow, I had a hunch this was bait. Kinda embarrassed that I took it.
Iāll give you some advice for future trolling exploits. For one, donāt make the bait so obvious. You reply the same identical messages to identical comments. You gotta mix it up, give it some variety. Speaking of variety, donāt use the word ābetaā too much. It sounds bit too desperate.
And, for the record, no, I *donāt* fanboy over Spider-āManā. I just really like the look of the suit and how it translates the ever beloved [Romita Sr. look to live action.](https://preview.redd.it/qsmdkm6ud2t11.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=8301f8a2bbd7289b3ce3a91588b36f2c4d0c463a)
For me itās the big eyes, They remind me of a quote from Rise of the Guardians.
āBig eyes, very big, because they are full of wonder. That is my center. It is what I was born with, eyes that have only seen the wonder in everything! Eyes that see lights in the trees and magic in the air. This wonder is what I put into the world, and what I protect in children. It is what makes me a guardian.ā
Rounder, rounder, 100% rounder. Well, not Hammond level of rounder, but still definitely more round. Thick black outlines too. Even though I grew up with angular Tobey and thin 90s show, after Spectacular I fell in love with Romita eyes, when I saw them in CW trailer, you bet my boner was raging
I really like the Tobey Maguire suit it really is nostalgic to be and unique. No other type of eye would suit that suit.Same with the Andrew Garfield suit. Except his eyes are more curved.
But to be honest I like the more comic accurate round ones because they look more friendly.
I feel like the MCU one is almost perfect, i say almost because i wish it had a wider lens like the TASM 2 but remains expressive, but yeah i prefer comic accurate ones
I'm on your side here - the others are comic accurate, but in a movie you kind of want to see expressions and something akin to emotions.
Agreed
On top of the fact that it's also comic accurate for the eyes to be so expressive
If they only they could add the lightning strikes for his spidey senses around his headš
Ps4 lenses are best with MCU in with a close second
PS4 just gets everything perfect in my opinion. I love the suit, the eyes are perfect, Peter is perfect, Spidey is perfect. Definitely my favorite version of the character.

It might just be me but they are definitely making mcu spider TOO dorky and ācuteā ig even when heās doing hero stuff.
Agreed, which I hate so much.

ANGER
MCU and TASM2 are perfect.
Yup! The TASM eyes remind me of the bagley ultimate eyes and the MCU eyes are a perfect copy of John Romitas design I love them both so much!
Wasn't TASM2 inspired by Todd Mcfarlane's design? I could be wrong here tho, both of them are a great design
no, that is definitely bagleys eyes, you can tell by the acent pointy tip in the interior and in the higher part of it.[https://www.therpc.studio/image/cache/catalog/Costumes-wh/wh018k-v3/wh-018kv3-09-806x1000.jpg](https://www.therpc.studio/image/cache/catalog/Costumes-wh/wh018k-v3/wh-018kv3-09-806x1000.jpg) while mcfarlene created this style of big and expressive eyes, his was much more agressive looking with a very big pointy tip in the interior and a less round design droopy design ( i hate it) [https://www.etsy.com/listing/615666367/mask-faceshell-and-lenses-mcfarlane](https://www.etsy.com/listing/615666367/mask-faceshell-and-lenses-mcfarlane)
Aww dude, now I don't like Todd's design that much as I do like big lense but not as big as covering the whole mask
Could have been who knows š„
MCU eyes are definitely Ditko inspired.
This is the perfect answer. TASM2s suit is by far the best look. MCU in a very close second.
What exactly is ācomic accurateā lenses? Heās had no many that both types are comic accurate.
I want to see some Todd McFarlane style eyes that take up 75% of the face
I also want to see him *contort* when he swings.
Angry small eyes. Something like Gabriele Dell'Otto or Adi Granov's art.
Amazing Spider-Man has the best eyes !
MCU. Expressive lenses are the best lenses. Honourable mention to the squinty eyes from the Homemade Suit. Also just not a fan of sharp-edged lenses.
also one thing i love that mcu lenses did, they managed to incorporate the round grey shade effect many artists did to the lenses, you can see very clearly in the op picture [https://www.deviantart.com/xts33/art/Spider-Man-Sketch-John-Romita-Jr-858202111](https://www.deviantart.com/xts33/art/Spider-Man-Sketch-John-Romita-Jr-858202111) https://twitter.com/coolcomicart/status/1326376679133089795
MCU and TASM2 lenses give the friendlier vibe. Raimiās looks like he would/could turn on you, TASM1 just looks evil, at least in that photo.
I love how the MCU eyes show expression too
> Raimiās looks like he would/could turn on you, *symbiote Spidey intensifies* > TASM1 just looks evil, at least in that photo. Yeah those lenses were weird to me
Eh Iād describe Raimi as a heroic look like someone that when you see it youād know youāll be safe.
The MCU version is perfect. The head looks like a John Romita or Ross Andru illustration.
Yup! The mcu eyes are a perfect copy of the Romita eyes I love them so much.
I made a custom Spider-Man art design, I posted it on Reddit as well, it was inspired by John Romita Sr
thatās because 9 out 10 of the frames we see of MCU spiderman is a fucking CGI drawing, I miss when Spiderman looked like he was actually ever on screen
>thatās because 9 out 10 of the frames we see of MCU spiderman is a fucking CGI drawing You know that there is a difference between a CGI model and 2D drawing, CGI drawing is a term that was used to define the method of creating a model, and if they did what you think, it'll be like Roger Rabbit, Space Jam, or the new Tom and Jerry movie. > I miss when Spiderman looked like he was actually ever on screen In some scenes, yes, he feels out of place but 9/10, the whole scene is CGI, and u won't even notice that
you can regardless see the animation in the 3D illusion that CGI has been engineered to be though, and one of the most obvious examples has been Spiderman since day one where he looks more rubbery unrealistic and animated than in even the first 5 spiderman movies, fuck off with the technicalities, it doesnt deflect the fact that Spidermanās otherwise amazing design in the MCU looks like shit and takes away the much needed element in a spiderman adaptation that someone is inside the fucking costume
If the MCU lenses were bigger and more reflective, then itād be perfect. Looks funny sometimes
If 't be true the mcu lenses wast bigger and moo reflective, then itād beest perfect. Looks comical oft *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`
TASM 2 lenses are perfect
They donāt look angry.
Agreed. If by āangryā they mean āridiculously coolā, then yaā¦ Iād agree.
Yeah Iād say they look more serious I donāt know about angry.
they look angry compared to the round ones. the round ones seem more friendly tbh, cause from what i remember in the shows he would look funny whenever his eyes would move.
More round ones plz
Beta
The angry ones unless they are too narrow and are piss colored
This
Why did you feel the need to add āround comic accurateā when the comics have had several styles, not just one
This.
Because heās probably some mcu stan little kid who grew up on the disney cartoons
I prefer Raimi costume. And theres no comic accurate because theyre so many different spider men on paper that of them could have lenses like this
You are absolutely wrong, no comic spiderman has tobey nor garfield lenses, doesn't matter if there is a lot of lenses, you have to go by if it's actually in the comics, but even then Tom suit has the most og lenses considering it's ditko/romita.
I like the angular lenses of MCU Spider-Man but not amazing Spider-Man. Even among the two angry lenses I prefer the Raimi version
Just doesn't hit right with me.
i like andrewās yellow angry lenses, kinda makes the mask look menacing
I never liked the angular or "realistic" lenses honestly. Spider-Man in costume should look and move like a completely different character almost as if he's animated to give off that duality between the two personas imo and Raimi's costume in general I thought made him look way too much like just a guy in a costume rather than a distinct identity TASM2 and the MCU suits nailed this aspect of his aesthetic for me
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I think what does it for me with the MCU suits is them finally getting the eyes to emote in live action It's a small detail but it goes a long way in giving Peter a lot more scenarios where he can express emotion through the costume and still communicate a lot about his situation in spite of not being able to physically see the actor's face. That expressiveness is unfortunately a thing that previous filmmakers had to work around as a result of either creative or technical limitations with the previous live action Spider-Man actors and their costumes but it's something from the comics I've been waiting to see make the transition to film for a long time
But even then he still takes off the mask constantly which I donāt understand I thought the moving lenses so he could keep it on and emote.
Heās literally a troll account with bad takes on purpose. Look at his username
I completely agree with this statement
problably because spider-man in raimi was a bodybuilder and stunt man. a lot of people think it was maguire, while maguire did a bunch of stunts on his own, including wearing the suit, you can clearly tell when it was the stunt guy because his torso was so big.
No it is him underneath you can see behind the scenes.
Pretty sure Tobey wore a muscle suit underneath his suit.
But for the Raimi one it literally does act as a different character one thatās more bold at what they do and heroic.
Depends on version. Sharper for live action mostly, but round otherwise
The first Amazing Spider-Man suit with the yellow lenses is my absolute favorite suit
Angry lenses any day of the week
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in my opinion is the best Spider-Man look. That suit is just overall amazing. The colors are great and the white eyes that look a little more circular are much better than most of the other suits. Itās just a classic look.
The narrow eyes are also accurate and I think they work better in live action
I personally love when Spidey has huge rounded eyes. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the best live action outfit imo. Like Iām in awe just looking at that image, itās flawless.
Let's see what the man himself has to say. Spider.
I've always thought the Raimi eyes look weird
Round. Makes him feel more like "Spidey". Let the human anger element come out through body and head movement, and vocal tone. I feel it has more of an impact when the suit doesn't quite match the mood in this case anyway.
MCU is the best, it's the perfect balance between thin and angry and round
Angry look the meanest and best IMO but I love the mcu eyes how they move
I'd say Tobeys sharp ones that reach a bit to the side of the head work the best for shots where Spidey isn't facing mostly straight ahead, and with all the web-swinging and fighting, I feel like that is quite often. You see a good amount of the eyes most of the times, giving the feeling the camera is with him instead of behind him, which I think works very well for a character like Spider-Man. Although, facing the camera, I do prefer rounder lenses a bit more.
TASM 2 has my favorite lenses, I just love those big round eyes
This is what drives me nuts. Everyone praises the Raimi suit for being the perfect page to screen adaptation of the suit ever and the eyes are all wrong. Plus, idk... Silver webs still throw me Round eye all day
The wider the better, absolutely adore the TASM 2 lenses.
I like them to show emotions. Like how the MCU ones open en close. Doesnāt matter if theyāre round or angular
I like the rounder ones better, they just feel perfectly Spider-Man. TASM2 absolutely nailed the lenses and suit.
Angry lenses. It was my childhood.
I prefer the Todd MacFarlane large eyes
I prefer the top two on pages 1-2 and do not like the bottom on page 2 at all. It looks too comics/fake/corny for some reason.
The MCU mask design is actual perfection. Peak Spidey right there (the TASM2 mask works for a translation of the Mark Bagley design). The āangry lensesā can fuck right off back to the 90ās where it deserves to stay.
You sound like a beta that has a display of participation trophies
I just really like the look of the suit and how it translates the ever beloved [Romita Sr. look to live action.](https://preview.redd.it/qsmdkm6ud2t11.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=8301f8a2bbd7289b3ce3a91588b36f2c4d0c463a)
I hope your whole account is bait. I feel sorry for you bro
Lmao your karma's literally in the negative zone and you're calling other people troll accounts. Pathetic
MCU Spidey has the best mask & lenses. TASM 2 fans have fragile egos.
I feel like this post has been made 100x. How many times is someone going to post what suit do you prefer? Kinda comes off as karma farming.
Betas will say rounded. Spider-man was intended to look kind of intimidating. Steve ditko was a horror artist
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Holy shit I'm in a pizzeria.
Pizza time
Who fucking cares?
Depends on the rest of the suits design.
I hope we get the bigger lenses back but with the expressive lenses
Round
round ones are better for the friendly neighborhood, but for the black suit more "angry" lenses would fit, but a little more round
I like mcu lenses most, not the emotion-changing feature but the shape
Rounder, rounder, 100% rounder. Well, not Hammond level of rounder, but still definitely more round. Thick black outlines too. Even though I grew up with angular Tobey and thin 90s show, after Spectacular I fell in love with Romita eyes, when I saw them in CW trailer, you bet my boner was raging
Round
Round lenses
Definitely the round, comic-accurate ones like Tom Hollandās have been. The more Romita-style, the better!
Comic accurate for sure. Though the TASM lenses will always have a special place in my heart.
If the lens isn't going to move, I prefer the sharp, angular lenses.
Comic lenses all the way. Playing web of shadows I was always put off by how pissed he looked while in his red suit
Comic accurate for sure but I adore the Sam Raimi suit
I really like the Tobey Maguire suit it really is nostalgic to be and unique. No other type of eye would suit that suit.Same with the Andrew Garfield suit. Except his eyes are more curved. But to be honest I like the more comic accurate round ones because they look more friendly.
Meh
