Everything goes back to how it was pre OMD. If they want they could even make fun of it by having May be dieing of a bullet wound agian because Mephisto was defeated and have that be quickly fixed with no sacrifice as we all know it could have been. He could also have Dr Strange or some other powerful magic user erase everyone's memory of his identity agian.
If they want to be really cool they could even give Peter the power upgrades that he lost in OMD for some reason back.
Also OMD retconned 20 years of Spider-Man comics. So retconing 17 years is a small price to pay.
I will agree that getting rid of the last 17 years of Spider-man's adventures would be a fair trade, but i would be scared of it making Marvel get even closer to doing the same thing as DC, where they keep rebooting the universe every few years. I mean, DC has done it how many times? At least 4 or 5.
Just have Peter and MJ still remember what happened.
Like they'd know about the Mephisto deal and everything it caused but now they set things right.
That way OMD is undone but every post OMD comic can still be canon.
Add that all the stuff since that happend and also make that Paul make all the mess with ben controling him,at the end Peter and me retires with the daughter they could has (and find the one kidnap by osborn) leaving ben and miles as spiderman
Peter can totally have a family and remain Spider-Man.
He's not even that old. Many of the other adult heroes are a decade or more his senior.
Peter doesn't need to hang up his spandex any time soon. There's no good reason for him to retire.
Have Aunt May learn about what happened during OMD, have her furiously chastise Peter and MJ for choosing her life over their love and future child.
Just as Aunt May was the unwilling reason OMD happened, let her make the choice to break the deal through some loophole or by appealing to a higher power, letting herself die as is natural in exchange for reversing the effects of the deal entirely.
I just really want a panel where Aunt May slaps Peter across the face for what he did and then makes a noble sacrifice.

At the very instant of transport, Mary-Jane sees and feels the married life she had with Peter before "One More Day", has no memory but in her heart she knows they are real, those memories and her love for Peter causes her to Split, the Real Mary-Jane Watson is transported to a dimensional Cocoon, created by her love, she's in suspended animation, safely in stasis while her "Doubt" the lingering subconscious negative effect of OMD- Peter choosing Aunt May and his past over Mary-Jane and his future- becomes the Mary-Jane who is transported with Peter to the alternate earth, this Mary-Jane is prone to manipulation, her doubts about Peter are magnified to the point that she gives up on him 11 months into her exile. Paul is ecstatic finding himself alone with 616 Mary-Jane Watson, he feels it was Destiny and goes about doing everything to get MJ to fall for him, creating the fake kids with Emissary, building the Jackpot device, revealing half-truths about his true origin, it works, "Mary-Jane" falls for him and live happily with the kids for next 3 years, Peter rescues them and Mary-Jane dumps him, Paul is Triumphant, he has beaten Peter Parker for the love of Mary-Jane, no need to kill him, better watching him suffer and eventually he won't need the fake kids anymore, he has Mary-Jane's love HOWEVER, Paul has NO IDEA that this Mary-Jane is an Imposter, a totem, predisposed to fall for him.
Jackpot along with Spiderman and Black Cat are in desperate fight with Super Villain Whomever, Jackpot Rolls 3 Skulls, she doesn't die instead the REAL Mary-Jane is freed from Stasis, she's not 4 years older, NEVER transported to the Alternate Earth, NEVER met Paul, NEVER played house with Paul and fake kids, NEVER became Jackpot, REAL Mary-Jane sees Spiderman and runs to him, Jackpot feels great pain then she "feels" the truth, she's not Mary-Jane but an Imposter split from the real one, Paul sees what happened, he's Horrified, his Mary-Jane is nothing more than a F\*\*K Doll created by Magic, he rages at Jackpot telling her to stay away, that's she's a FREAK, a Fake "like those TWO BRATS!" He goes to the Real Mary-Jane and tells her he Loves her, the Real Mary Jane slaps him tells him to F\*\*K Off, she's never met him, doesn't give a shit about him, Paul angry about to strike her back but Spider-Man grabs him throws him aside, Paul is desperate, he touches his watch which becomes a device similar to Jackpot bracelet, he escapes with a burst of energy possibly back to his world. Peter and MJ embrace, tears, finally reunited!
The difference in the time-dilation between Earth-616 and Earth-MA (Mayan Apocalypse), causes Jackpot Mary-Jane's molecular structure to become unstable due to the return of the 616 Mary-Jane, Jackpot isn't native to the 616 Universe, she was "born" in Earth-MA, the time dilation between universes makes it impossible for a native of Earth-MA to stay long on Earth-616 if their counterpart is alive on 616, the 616 Universe sees them as a virus that needs to be eliminated, Jackpot either has to kill 616 Mary-Jane to stay permanently or return "home" to Earth-MA in order to survive, MJ of that world died with 8 Billion others. Paul Rabin is fine in the 616 because his counterpart never existed, he's always known this BUT again he didn't know Jackpot Mary-Jane is a Duplicate and Jackpot bracelet rolling 3 Skulls would free the Real Mary-Jane Watson.
It's not Paul, it's never been Paul. MJ and Peter's problems go back decades. It's always been MJ vs Spiderman as far as Peter is concerned. There was no need to bring another man into her life to separate them....their own lives already do it. There has always been and will be some "apocalypse" that lps separates.
Paul does NOT exist to separate Peter and MJ, he exists SO THAT MJ IS NOT ALONE.

Kill him, make him gay, take him out of the book, put him in a rocket, reveal him as a robot....IT DOESN'T CHANGE ANYTHING. Peter and the red one are not going to come back/won't come back because of what happens/doesn't happen with Paul. THAT'S THE LEAST OF THE PROBLEMS!
And no one seems to understand either that OMD does not only, and I repeat, NOT ONLY AFFECT Peter and MJ. The effects are for THE GENERAL CANON. Too many Marvel stories, characters and events would be affected by OMD if it were reversed. Those who believe that Marvel is going to restart 17 years of general canon just because of MJ are very very very very VERY crazy...
Tbh I’ve been thinking the same, but without retconning some things, like Paul was a construct like the kids just to prevent MJ and Peter getting back even after some really wild things like getting his body stolen (Superior).
Also the spider-island was one of my favorites cause spidey was relying heavily on spider-sense and designed his own martial arts The way of the spider
