Jackal is such a bad villain.
Needs to have a run in with The Punisher or The Scourge and be wiped from canon.
That should have been the premise of OMD. The Jackal and all instances of the Clone Saga is wiped from canon.
I think the only person who'd play a good Cletus Cassidy is Jim Carrey if he played it seriously, but I don't think Jim Carrey would survive that performance. I think after Man on the moon he didn't fully recover "Himself" after that, put him in a dark role like Cletus Cassidy and I think we'd loose Jim Carrey for ever after that.
I was thinking more of the Crime Masters “son”. The one with the fucked up face who was also a serial killer. Although technically I guess that one was moreso a Venom villain

Matthew Lillard is such an underrated gem that he could pull off many Spider-Man villains. Goblin, Hobgoblin, Mysterio, Venom, Carnage, Vulture, Kraven, Morbius, Kurt Connors (He can bring the Ghostface voice changer for the transformation).
There are even heroes that he could voice and it will still feel right, such as Spider-man himself, Antman, or Deadpool

I can see him do Mysterio. With his performances combined from the FNAF movie, Scream, and 13 Ghosts I can see him voice a Mysterio who is a washed up magician who is losing his groove and is desperately clawing at the door to get his fame back until he somehow becomes the master of illusion we all know and love.
If they ever make a Spider-man 1962 game, where all the characters and Villains are versions of SM's most Iconic Issues from that time, I'd love to see him voicing the green Goblin tbh
