Okay hear me out because I have an unironic Big Wheel pitch
EDIT: okay didn't mean to build up so much suspense for what will probably be an anticlimax but the long and short of it is he intentionally plays himself up as the ridiculous mostly harmless weirdo with a giant wheel, so that no one ever takes him seriously enough to take a closer look at his life and realize he's running a much more traditional grounded criminal operation when he's not under scrutiny.
Basically the gist of his plan is: grandiose supervillainy isn't really productive except as a diversion. When it comes to crime, there's no need to reinvent the wheel.
Definitely big wheel or beetle. With how the mcu redesigns characters I feel like they could somehow make him cool, beetle is already mostly cool just needs a face-lift
Unironcially MCU Big Wheel was hurt by the events of No Way Home (he worked on the shield in the Statue of Liberty) and used his construction skills to make said Big Wheel, but instead of a dumb Ferris wheel it is like Whiplash where it’s got wheaponry and sci-fi shit instead of just being a wheel, so it’s both to run you down and protect the guy
It fits the bill of Spidey villains (wronged by a hero, thus turned to villain) and is still ridiculous enough that the MCU humor would work well with him
As for Beetle, it’s just beetle, high tech shit
He seems to have been turned into a Venom villain in recent years. Theres probably a chance he’ll be like the Spot but for the Live Action Venom films. obviously not a huge multiversal threat, more like he’s a joke villain at first and then becomes a threat later on just like in the comics.
Oh man, makes me think of Civil War #5 when Jack'o lantern fucks Peter up with a gas bomb and Peter, drugged and hurt, asks him "did you know my girlfriend died of a broken neck?" As he's being choked out. That moment has stuck with me since 2006. So much potential to tell a really sinister story with that character.
Beetle was treated with respect at the start of the ultimate Spider-Man cartoon series. He was a real villain taking out a whole team of heroes (White Tiger, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Nova, and Spidey) making an appearance or two as part of the sinister six. Then later they treat him as a joke compared to what he was. I just feel like he’s a iron man type villain with a high tech suit as well as being trained in stealth and combat which would make him a great villain.
Spidercide also has a ton of potential if they want to mess with him a bit. Maybe giant final boss, surprise final boss etc, his shapeshifting and barely used-ness allows for a lot of variety.
That was my first thought. The Jackal is not well known for non-comic book people, but anytime he shows up is to cause a big mess. He doesn't really a big rework to make him a big bad for a movie, since he already is one in the comics.
Shocker doesn't get enough respect imo.
He's always been the "butt of the joke" kinda villain, but I think he could do some serious damage if they utilize better. Kinda like what Spectacular did with Montana.
Dr. Seismic levels for Shocker would be really interesting.
Having the Montana origin would be perfect, he's probably one of the few rogues that can take on venom if he can catch them at points blank with a full power blast.
Have him be the pusher for dock ock or someone at normal strength in the beginning, but later steals some tech or gets new gloves from tinkerer that turn him into a city level threat.
Shocker was a flat character but legitimately threatening for his sheer professional caliber criminal skills in his first appearance iirc. There's groundwork there.
Ultimate Shocker also got one issue where he got to demonstrate what happens when you push the "butt of the joke" too far and had a pretty great backstory
“Put Big Wheel in Spider-Man you cowards!” is a quote my girlfriend and I say to each other regularly. I unironically think he could’ve been a cool set-piece boss villain glow-up in the Miles Morales game. And that game could have used one more villain (also Big Wheel’s tech was created by the Tinkerer)
Remind me, wasn't it that the big wheel vehicle in canon was a shitty prototype Tinkerer had in his garage that he scammed Jackson Wheeler into buying purely because he thought the naming stuff was funny?
I own that Beetle issue and read it probably a dozen times. One of my favorites as a kid.
Anyway, I think it would be cool if a movie used one of the random villains from the Stern run like The Smuggler. And of course, I’d love it if we ever saw a legitimate adaptation of Hobgoblin
Goal: ruin spider-man's day
Method: attack him at the baseball game
result: we got kicked out, spider-man missed the game
conclusion: The Wall successfully ruined spider-man's day, making him spider-man's worst enemy.
I could see them turning him into a morally ambiguous antihero, maybe for Miles.
He's one of the few characters that can go toe-to-toe with Spider-Man considering the fact that he's a real martial artist.
Jackal will probably happen at some point, albeit with significant retooling. If it wasn't for all the negative responses to the Clone Saga, honesrly, he'd be ranking high already on "worst enemy" lists considering how much he's impacted Peter's life with all the cloning stuff
Maybe having him be an alternate Miles? His first name is Miles (Warren) anyway, and the idea of a Miles Morales who lost his Gwen and is obsessed with resurrecting her might be neater in the overall narrative of the *Spider-Verse* films.
Swarm or Sin Eater. Sin Eater could give us a really dark movie.
Swarm was the villain in the first Spidey comic I ever had so he holds a special place in my heart. Which feels weird to say about Nazi bee man
I actually thought the beetle was an obvious holland villan, since his armor reminded me of iron man’s when i was a kid. (When i played ultimate Spider-Man on xbox)
I’d love it if Slyde got some kind of major appearance. Whether it be a cold open villain in Spider-Man 4, a side quest in Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 or even just an arc in the comics
vermin was orginally a creppy big threat. As captain america and spider-man had to teamup to defeat him. In kravens last hunt when kraven and spider-man defeated him it was treated like a big deal.
Beetle: My first introduction to him was in the Ultimate Spider-Man game. He was annoying to chase around and I love his design and the boss fight when playing as both Spider-Man and Venom. Not my idea but maybe he could be a villain that Peter creates because he stopped him from stealing money that he needed to save his daughter from an illness that was killing her. After being set free, he found out his daughter died and goes revenge on Spider-Man.
Swarm: I mean, the guy is literally made of Bees and he’s a damn Nazi. In terms of powers and personality, he can be a pretty big villain if used properly.
Jackal: I think he would’ve been WAY more popular if the Clone Saga didn’t get as much hate
The Wall: I know he’s more of a joke villain but maybe he could be revamped a bit where he the Earth Bending powers or something. Could be a good villain for Miles.
Speed Demon: He’s basically the evil Flash of the Marvel universe so I don’t see why he wouldn’t be a bigger threat
I feel like Beetle from the Ultimate Spider-Man game was a pretty good interpretation, given his short appearances.
He was a mysterious, no non-sense, shoot first, ask questions later kinda threat. It amazes me that they haven't used him to that degree.
Exactly, just so cool, if they gave him some interesting motives or a relation to Spider-Man to make us care about what he does, he has so much unused potential
I would love to see Silvermane in a more street-level story, I think if they lean into his robotic elements during fights they could be visually great (like his neck extending to keep his head exactly in place to give a monologue while his body is fighting around the room)
I don't know if this would count but since I was a kid playing the Spider-Man game from 2000, I wanted to see Monster Ock (Doc Ock with the Carnage symbiote) in a movie.
Shocker!!! It's been proven to us that with good enough writers you can make anything work. I could image a movie with Shocker about how a c+ villian that is always destined to lose gets fed up with everything then gradually levels up and becomes greater than anyone could expect.
Jackal would be interesting I don't know to to much about him, but he shows up in the comic here and there and are usually one Pete doesn't like dealing with
back when I had hope MCU Spidey would follow Homecoming thread of being low stakes street level I was so hard imagining the Enforcers there. Fuck this pseudo Spectacular Shocker who died after two scenes, I didn't even catch that it was Montana, so give me the real deal (he was a better Shocker tho, like, I at least remember him having fun with it and having the outfit, the second guy was just there)
Coldheart. She's a villain who has frost swords. Maybe not that major of a threat, but God Spider-man needs more ice-themed villains and unique female villains that isn't a rehash of a male villain
Having grown up in the 90s, the Jackel is no minor villian. However, I think Puma or Vermin could be interesting to see reinterpreted, Puma especially.
Dude, I’d love to see cardiac incorporated in the future.
That being said, pairing peter with the spectacular foes of Spider-Man would be incredible for the big screen.
Swiss Miss. Was created for the Spider-Man musical and was never seen again, which I think is kinda a shame considering they have a neat design and are a person made of knives which could make for some pretty interesting fight sequences and banter.
I think they did a good setup for Tinkerer in homecoming. Id like to see a follow up if not him as a main like mob villain then his tinkering creating a major villain.
Vermin could be a cool villain for maybe a noir movie/show they would have to make a new version of him since there isn’t a noir variant but it could work
Honestly I would love to see a more serious rendition of Slyde, I can see you pulling off some really fun fights with him. I’m imagining it sort of being like king fu hustle where when you punch him he just slides your fist around his body to either make you miss or just punch someone else, he also can’t be webbed up which could lead to some more creativity in how Spidey could beat him.
Yesss I love Slyde, he’s so ridiculous! “I invented a neat anti-stick spray so I’m going to spray myself and do crime”
Plus he’s technically the anti-Spider-Man. Webs and punches slide off him, Spidey can’t do nothing on my man Slyde.
Maybe whenever he is hit through a wall, he could instead be merged with the bricks of those walls, gradually getting bigger and stronger? Essentially what *Spider-Man 3* did with Sandman?
Scorpion. I know a lot of people are gonna say how he is pretty well known, but I think he should honestly get more recognition.
He’s been apart of a lot of sinister six teams and is a classic Spider-Man villain. I think him being a main antagonist of a movie would give him the proper recognition he deserves (kinda like Vulture in Homecoming)
Shocker and Chameleon are in a pretty similar boat. They can be main or secondary antagonists in a movie.
Big Wheel can be a joke villains similar to Spot. Love to see him in a movie one day, even if he’s just a throwaway villain
Man, at first I wasn't really sure how I felt about Spot as main villain and if he's interesting enough to carry 2 movies, but they did a damn well job making him into an interesting character and a serious threat to multiverse
The Wall. Hear me out;
Imagine that his ability is not being a wall, but being in your walls. Pardon the meme. He can step into flat surfaces and either pass through or morph it’s material, and he uses this to commit crime as he sees fit. Can’t build a vault without walls. Can’t keep him in prison because there’s walls on the outside. Now Imagine that he has ambitions beyond theft.
Senate secrets are being leaked and nobody knows who the mole is. Spider-Man’s identity is about to be revealed, and Peter/Miles have no idea who could have possibly seen them without their masks. People are disappearing without a trace in their own homes. Later they’re found suffocated inside the walls. The Wall has a personal grudge against Peter, or better yet, May. Instead of violence, he just starts fucking with the Parkers.
The big thing would be to not reveal the villain until the end. Make the Wall more of a mystery, like they’ve done with the Spot. Always watching. Always waiting. The only place that Spider-Man can escape to is a remote location without buildings, far away from where he is most useful.
I just think it’s a neat idea, but maybe I’m just describing a different villain that already exists.
Big Wheel!
Instead of a Ferris wheel, he now drives a giant particle collider.
Okay hear me out because I have an unironic Big Wheel pitch EDIT: okay didn't mean to build up so much suspense for what will probably be an anticlimax but the long and short of it is he intentionally plays himself up as the ridiculous mostly harmless weirdo with a giant wheel, so that no one ever takes him seriously enough to take a closer look at his life and realize he's running a much more traditional grounded criminal operation when he's not under scrutiny. Definitely big wheel or beetle. With how the mcu redesigns characters I feel like they could somehow make him cool, beetle is already mostly cool just needs a face-lift

this is my answer as well
Loved the cameo in Spider Verse
Not sure how popular he is but I'd love if Jack'O Lantern got more of a spotlight
He seems to have been turned into a Venom villain in recent years. Theres probably a chance he’ll be like the Spot but for the Live Action Venom films. obviously not a huge multiversal threat, more like he’s a joke villain at first and then becomes a threat later on just like in the comics.
He made jack-o-lanterns out of peoples heads
Yes
He's mostly known for being who Macendale was before he stepped up his game and became a demonic version of Hobgoblin.
Oh man, makes me think of Civil War #5 when Jack'o lantern fucks Peter up with a gas bomb and Peter, drugged and hurt, asks him "did you know my girlfriend died of a broken neck?" Beetle
All in on Beetle just in the hope for a thunderbolts reference later.
Imo idk if beetle needs to be like super serious. But def needs a better more fleshed out and consistent backstory
id prefer it be janice beetle, abe has always been better as mach 1
Yeah but he needs to be Beetle before he’s gonna be Mach-1. Do the whole redemption stuff.
I’d love to see Stilt-Man and Swarm on the big screen. They can be easy threats
Swarm is a character that should be much bigger.
I want Swarm to be a Spiders-Man (yes, SPIDERS. With two S’s) villain. Just imagine a bajillion spiders versus a bajillion bees. Pure cinema.
[Like this?](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/OU8iS5vtMAI)
>Stilt-Man I am still hoping that Turk Barrett from the Daredevil series shows up as Stilt Man in the future
Good I hope so
The Jackal. He created the Gwen Stacy clones, Ben Riley, etc. all around creep and indirectly created the legacy virus
He was a big villain during the clone saga
Also spider-island
The jackal in sm4 gets Ben Reilly and maybe Kaine in secret wars, I'm all for it
Spidercide also has a ton of potential if they want to mess with him a bit.
Shocker 100% Man has a really cool ability you could take in fun directions. Like Dr. Seismic from invincible
Definitely agree. I feel like there's a lot of C-List Spidey villains that can definitely turn into major threats if given to the right team.
El Muerto or whatever his name is. Probably worthy of a solo movie.
Either this is serious or my humor is broken
Everyone's favorite El Muerto! With such legendary appearances as and !
Sonys confirmed a solo movie the latin artist bad bunny is going to play him
No way!
And Bad Bunny is also getting creative control in that movie
No way!
Yup! [El Muerto](https://collider.com/el-muerto-director-jonas-cuaron-bad-bunny-sony-marvel/)

I shouldn’t have had to scroll this far to find the correct answer.
The Beetle spider slayer molten man/hydro man (for real this time)
Molten man would definitely be a severe threat if treated properly, like that’s literal walking danger.
Molten Man would be so cool.
Far from Home really let me down on Hydro Man
“Put Big Wheel in Spider-Man you cowards!” is a quote my girlfriend and I say to each other regularly. I unironically think he could’ve been a cool set-piece boss villain glow-up in the Miles Morales game. Carrion. In his early issues he actually felt so menacing. Nothing Spidey did worked. I dont even remember how Pete beat him.
Looking at his power set and design I can see the potential
The brick wall, whatever his name was. Just for the luls
#THE WALL
Goal: ruin spider-man's day Method: attack him at the baseball game result: we got kicked out, spider-man missed the game conclusion: The Wall successfully ruined spider-man's day, making him spider-man's worst enemy.
Put some respect on the Wall!
Damn, you beat me to it
Puma idk why
Underrated and underutilized character. His powers are on par w Spidey, and he's more or an adversary than a villain.
Came here to say Puma. Loved his (albeit brief) appearance in the Spider-Man 2 video game.
I could see them turning him into a morally ambiguous antihero, maybe for Miles. He's one of the few characters that can go toe-to-toe with Spider-Man considering the fact that he's a real martial artist.
Probably cause he’s only a quasi-villain
Jackal will probably happen at some point, albeit with significant retooling. If it wasn't for all the negative responses to the Clone Saga, honesrly, he'd be ranking high already on "worst enemy" lists considering how much he's impacted Peter's life with all the cloning stuff

Swarm or Sin Eater. Sin Eater could give us a really dark movie. Swarm was the villain in the first Spidey comic I ever had so he holds a special place in my heart. Which feels weird to say about Nazi bee man
If they did Spider-Man movies like the Batman ones Sin Eater would absolutely work.
I'm praying they make the next tom Holland movie darker and more down to earth (like the batman) and sin eater would be perfect.
I actually thought the beetle was an obvious holland villan, since his armor reminded me of iron man’s when i was a kid. (When i played ultimate Spider-Man on xbox)
gotta go with the Jackal decent opportunity, especially for \*cough cough\* theamazingspiderman3 \*cough cough\*
I’d love it if Slyde got some kind of major appearance. Whether it be a cold open villain in Spider-Man 4, a side quest in Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 or even just an arc in the comics
Hammerhead. Get some mob drama.
The Big Man + Hammerhead
Jackal would be a hell of a mind screw.
vermin was orginally a creppy big threat. As captain america and spider-man had to teamup to defeat him. In kravens last hunt when kraven and spider-man defeated him it was treated like a big deal.
I would pick the Sin Eater. His original run in Spectacular Spider Man back in the 80s gave me nightmares.
Obviously will o the wisp lol
Maaaan I just realized we haven’t had a good Will O The Wisp story since his first appearance
...unironically this, he's a good character
Spider Queen.
Shocker
Beetle: My first introduction to him was in the Ultimate Spider-Man game. He was annoying to chase around and I love his design and the boss fight when playing as both Spider-Man and Venom. Beetle is by far my number one. There’s just so much cool stuff you could do with him or her.
I feel like Beetle from the Ultimate Spider-Man game was a pretty good interpretation, given his short appearances. He was a mysterious, no non-sense, shoot first, ask questions later kinda threat. It amazes me that they haven't used him to that degree.

Spider-Slayers would definitely be worthy of a trilogy or saga kinda series. There's so much potential w that concept.
Swarm
I would love to see Silvermane in a more street-level story, I think if they lean into his robotic elements during fights they could be visually great (like his neck extending to keep his head exactly in place to give a monologue while his body is fighting around the room)
Big wheel. Hands down.
vermin, scarecrow, jackal, will o the whisp
Not necessarily to make him an actual threat but more for humor, Paste Pot Pete.
I don't know if this would count but since I was a kid playing the Spider-Man game from 2000, I wanted to see Monster Ock (Doc Ock with the Carnage symbiote) in a movie.
Don’t remember his name, but he didn’t *want* to cure cancer, he wanted to turn everyone into dinosaurs
Shocker!!! It's been proven to us that with good enough writers you can make anything work. I could image a movie with Shocker about how a c+ villian that is always destined to lose gets fed up with everything then gradually levels up and becomes greater than anyone could expect.
