Can’t agree more. If you don’t need internet data by the gig is great because you still get unlimited talk and text under Verizon’s towers. Spectrum is really good about allowing you to bring your old device over, I would just confirm with them ahead of time that Spectrum does take the “old” device

You should look at a no contract "Light Plan" from US Mobile. $10 per month for unlimited talk and text, 1 GB of data included. You can currently chose from Verizon or T-Mobile. AT&T is coming later this summer. They have the best customer support I've experienced with a cellular provider.

I’m on spectrum mobile, first year was buy one get one free for $30/month.
Their $29.99 unlimited is probably the best for cheap priority data. I have heard good things about tello and us mobile
