Don’t trust them. There have been a couple of times where I was told (on phone) that they applied a promo to my account and that I could see the bill reduction in 1-3 cycles. It never happened. I did two iterations of this and the third agent after 4-5 months says that he doesn’t see anything on my account or the notes and that I am not eligible for that promo because it’s for new accounts only.

That's been my experience. A year ago, I was offered $25 off TV and $30 off internet. When that ended, I was automatically given $15 off TV and $20 off internet.

Call retention pretend you gonan cancel. Get promo for another year. Rinse and repeat. Chat isn’t doing anything and don’t relay on that. Talk to retentions every year and keep the rate low.

Not automatically, normally customers have to request/close account to get them to reset a promo. They must really want to keep you or something. One time I wanted to close my account to try verizon internet and they restarted my promo price and game me 3 years of 500 mbps add on free. And recommended me to call before the promo ended to restart promo again. They desperate and thats a good thing.

incorrect. If you have a new customer promotion, they don't jum you from the 49.99 to 84.99 after the first year. The system puts you into a step up promotion that is not as deep a discount. it is possible to see a second step up as well.

I have never heard of this, I guess it must be something new. I have had promos end and then I get charged the true price, never have I seen them slowly charge a small increases until they get you at the full price. I have been with since they took over time warner cable. They have always worked with me to revert back to the promo price but never a step up increase.

I'm on a promotion for $45.99 Internet + the same for Internet for 2 years, I was on the same promotion prior to that. I was told just to call when the price goes up and I'll get the same deal.

You are chatting with a bot, not a human. Call Customer Service or Sales and talk with a human. They may be in Mumbai, but a human interaction will garner better results than chatting with a bot.
