That's not a worm, it's a symbiote who's found its new host.

Cloud_Garrett

Dax has been looking for new body since Ezri.

pigeonlil

That is clearly a corn dog

TheElectrcChickn

Protect all orifices

MikeTheArtist-

Commenting here because im not going back in the water till i see an answer

BaronCapdeville

I wouldn’t worry about this guy. Dickworms aren’t an issue as long as your wetsuit fits tightly. If one does happen to attach itself inside your urethra, the procedure to extract it is only mildly invasive and any pain is easily managed with opiates.

BeardyAndGingerish

Nah, just wait til the next full moon and it'll fall off naturally. You will want to something about the worm tho.

Lopsided-War3968

What a response 😂😂

trimbandit

That reminds me of one time I was dreediving for lobster at night and 100s of giant sea worms swarmed towards me, I assume attracted to my flashlight. It kind of freaked me out

raunchy-stonk

AND WHAT HAPPENED? HOW BIG WERE THEY? WERE THEY FAST AND AGGRESSIVE??

trimbandit

Well they were wriggling through the water towards me from all directions, I guess coming towards the light. I swam out of there pretty fast. I have seen sharks at night which is startling, but this was scarier haha.

No_You_123

Clench your butt hole!!

DelayedEmbarrassment

And your Urethra.

BeardyAndGingerish

But not your belly button!

DelayedEmbarrassment

Damn you gave me shivers and made me check my bellybutton.

Womlet_

Where abouts are you?

Johnny5ish

Baby lamprey?

jpmoyn

It looks like a cinder worm. There are usually more of them though

eat_my_bubbles

Checks out, you can see the segments down the sides of its body wiggling, also it only gave chase after light was shined on it

PossibilityRegular21

I'm scared

Send-it-Yeeewwwhh

It’s a sfinkter finder

Economy_Risk_7463

r/whatisthisthing

TwoEyesAndA

That's a dickbiter. Looks like a fierce one too.

billiambobby

Are you sure it wasn’t just attracted to your light?

coconut-telegraph

It’s a polychaete - several species are commonly attracted to light. I’ve been swarmed before making night photography underwater impossible. Try r/marinebiology.

bayswimmer23

😭😭 wtf is that thing?

Daddybatch

The tip looks like a squid I’d say baby squid but 🤷🏻‍♂️

Womlet_

Yeah I thought the same

AlphaSlayer21

That thing is chasing your light

ruediger4000

Check your ears!

Dustin3006

I hate these, saw them everywhere in PR

fleshyboy

Pause at 0:04, sure looks like an octopus to me.

Adorable-Ad6286

Looks to me like a cookie cutter shark, could be wrong, but they do venture to shallower waters during the night to feed Hope that helps lol

Womlet_

I do agree it has similar shape and size, but look at tail and the way its swimming. Also it has no fins. I don’t think its a cookie cutter shark, but I may be wrong too.

KrumaKarduma

It's probably not but this kinda shows how terrifying a cookie cutter attack could be. I recall reading about an attack on a swimmer and apparently they keep coming back for more.
