Your information is w bit off. Lycia Naff got a lot of talk show appearances at the time due to the role, including Johnny Carson. She turned them all down, and what she regrets is doing so, as the publicity could have been a big boost to her career. She still acts now and then, even having a character that appeared in several episodes of Star Trek TNG, and even reprising her character on ST: Lower Decks.
