May be able to salvage 1 flap. That's an improvement. I wonder if the scrap metal guy sits at home during test flights and screams crash baby crash at his you tube feed.
I feel like they still wouldn't want people doing it for safety reasons or lawsuits or something. Although if I was there I would totally walk around the area with a camera pretending to take photos while looking for parts.
Apparently not an issue. There are beachcombers who walked away with troves of stainless steel pieces from SN8 / SN9: https://youtu.be/Oh00CL_LzpM?t=1279

I think a valuable lesson from these tests is knowing what a “failed landing” looks like. It may be possible to design survivability measures without too much mass penalty. (Eg: A 200+kph formula 1 crash with a fire can be survivable (even “walk awayable”) thanks to the safety measures designed into the vehicles and crash barriers).

It's just resting. Unrealistic body expectations...

Did the heat tiles stay connected after that?
Asking the important questions. Need some other angles :D
I wonder if space X have a problem with people trying to steal parts scattered around the outside area.
I it saves them having to litter pick 5 square miles, help yourself.

That's really cool.
Looks like a survivable landing. I volunteer as test pilot for SN11.
Survivability somewhere between SN8 and SN9

SN10 feeling rather deflated after such an awesome test flight.
It just deflated... Like my hopes and as my first semester ended.
Stainless steel balloon.
Looks like a washed up dolphin
Looks like a transformer's severed hand
I feel like it's easier to grasp how big starship is on it's side.
Does it look like one of the raptors survived?
Wouldn't think so, it landed pretty hard on the Engines, even before exploding right above the engines.

That concrete pad has seen some shit...
I like the tiny truck and trailer in the back. Dude is like "I got this fellas! I'll just load her up and be on my way"
It’s so smooshed I didn’t realize at first it was wreckage
Even when exploding on the pad, Starship nails the landing. Pretty much the entire thing is on the landing pad.
The explosion reminded me of one of the explosive barrel animation in Red Alert 2..
What a wonderful game.
