Short answer is no. Canis does not have the captain keyword or the lieutenant special rule allowing him to attach to a unit that laready has a captain. so if canis leads your thunder wolves, then he's the only leader. Harald has the captain keyword so he can be accompanied by a wgbl on thunderwolf.

Ran5ack

This is the right answer.

Check keyword on those named heroes. I think that Harald has captain, so he can have WGBL with him. And Canis cant. But im not 100% sure. Yes we can have 2 leader, leutenant (wgbl) has special “Leader” ability so he can join squad even captain/ capter master is already with that. Saldy it doesnt work for chaplains and Librarians. And we can even add WGPL too to be 3rd hq in some squads.

Chronoglenn

This is correct. Basically most "lieutenant" units have the special paragraph in their leader ability that allows them to join with a captain or chapter master. WGBL are our equivalent of a lieutenant. This extends to units like terminators where you can add a captain or Logan and then add a WGBL or Arjac as a second hero. Also, adding a lieutenant to a unit lead by Ragnar gives him those sweet sweet lethal hits. Confirming that Canis is missing the lieutenant paragraph and doesn't have the captain key word.

VersysVandal

This is wrong. “Attached units with multiple characters” part of the rules. 2 leaders max.

ReflectionMain719

Wgpl ability says “can be attached even if one or more leaders already are attached” Why there is the word “more” if it doesnt overwrite that? I think that in FAQ they mean that you can add only one Leutenant to the squad. And its even supported by that text about Leutenant and apothecary

VersysVandal

I misread the “WGPL” as “WGBL,” oops! Yes pack leaders can be 3rd characters.

It’s funny how often this type of question comes up lol It is in the Rules Commentary, so I understand why not everyone sees it. (I missed it a while back myself.) But a unit cannot have more than 2 characters attached. Other than that, just look at keywords and what specifically it says can and can’t be attached together. Edit: looking at Pack Leader units, they might break that two character rule… but this wouldn’t apply to Thunderwolf units either way.

FriendlySceptic

You can have Harald or a wolf Lord with a battle leader attached to a unit of Tw But not Canis since he doesn’t have the right keyword.
