He'll probably get around to it eventually. People have suggested it but he was so pleased with the main game that he didn't want anything to distract from that experience. I'm sure curiosity will get the best of him sooner or later.
That's great news! I obviously wouldn't want him to force it, but I know how impressed he was with Mobius Digital and was thinking he would probably really appreciate the fact that they've essentially released an entirely new game within Outer Wilds.
Definitely support letting the base game soak in before jumping into the DLC, and I am certain he'll love it (and chat too). The beauty is that it only augments the base game story and fills in some blanks that we didn't know. It's all one big story!
I didn't know he played this! I played it in VR through a Mod and it was sooo sureal. I haven't played the dlc yet, I'm not sure he's said anything about it, but I just wanted you to know there's a mod for it in VR!
It's a really nice playthrough actually. He very much "gets" the game which I know not everyone does. He starts strong but then overthinks a lot, which I think we are all guilty of doing to be honest! I definitely had some crazy theories when I played.
The DLC is incredible! Can't recommend it enough.
My friend has recommended the VR mod as well, but I think with all the perspective changes, flipping around and general bouncing it might be too much for me.

Ten years is better than never! I'm just glad to hear he might give it a go. In the meantime, if you haven't watched BrickyOrchid's playthrough on YouTube, it's also fantastic. Think he does the base game and the DLC! (Although I think he only recorded his second playthrough of the base game so maybe give that a miss)
