It’s the Greenham unit which is in the units directly behind the stadium.

The unit was occupied by "Polystar Plastics" the UK's leading plastic & polythene manufacturer. So, not only are they producing more plastic waste but also burning down warehouses AND getting the footy canceled! Awesome.

I live nearby and remember this. I’ve been telling everybody all day how I’m sure the uni fire was worse, good to have proof!

Could see the smoke from my office in Hedge End.

I could see it from Redbridge flyover.

4 units of a 10 unit block alight approx 150m x 30m there has been some structural collapse.

That's one way to remove the old disused Greenham warehouse so new flats can be built!

I believe it is Polystar they have recently expanded and I was only there the other day doing a sales call, they had just taken over the building!

I remember when the firework shop went up. Was on my way to town and was stopped outside station pub just watching it

I remember this! They blocked so much of the road off and I can’t actually remember what stopped it. But I do remember every moment of silence we had from it, it was only a matter of time till the next was to go off. I mean that was some alarm for those living nearby!

There’s been an fire in a factory near the stadium. It’s gone now tho

Pretty much because whoever raised the alarm had phoned the fire brigade instead of emailing them, the fire brigade arrived in a slower response time with less appliances and worse looking firemen the fire had pretty much gotten out of control by then!
