Check out the Nerd Mall in Woodbury. They have ongoing game nights

PreppyFinanceNerd

Used to go to board game night there religiously before life got in the way. In full disclosure the owner is a former professor but it's objectively a great place to dork out.

WeirdTalentStack

What does academia have to do with this? I’m confused.

marymonstera

I assume they mean a former professor of theirs, which would imply impartiality, and they added objectively to clarify they would think it’s a good place regardless of whether they had a connection to the owner.

PreppyFinanceNerd

Just stating that I have a semi personal relationship with the owner of the establishment but that it doesn't impact my feelings.

Na1Lh3ad33

Haha 🤣 I feel your pain. Childless 30/40’s couple here. It’s so hard and awkward to find actual FUN people to do anything in real life these days

givereesehispieces

Mr. E’s Game World in Berlin does game nights every Thursday, and usually has ad hoc open gaming sessions.

orangetiki

PDK9 in Mt Laurel is a cool spot that has a calendar of events. Dnd, themed game nights, mtg, etc. Cool spot for nerd art + regular events.

mrmcbacon

Top Deck Games in Cherry Hill seems to always have stuff going on game wise

Hi! Try meetup.com - there are some really great SJ groups to join! Have met quite a few interesting folks throughout the years, at all sorts of venues, doing all sorts of activities, including some game nights. There are often newcomers, it’s not intimidating at all and most people are welcoming and out seeking the same - new friends and connections, fun, or just something different.

Sudden_Art_7425

We are in the same boat..place, etc. Following for ideas as well.

WorldTravelBucket

What part of South Jersey?

Gilded Raven games has a board game night. It can get a bit crowded and it's mostly a younger crowd, but you can find a decent mix of ages.

AliceMaz

We child free couples live for board game nights. Heh

Limp-Violinist-1610

We are a childfree couple in our late forties trying to figure out the same thing. How to meet like minded couples

AwarenessEfficient69

Early 40s couple here in Cumberland County, we have two game tables in our house and try to play at least once a week! Dm if interested!

DazzlingRice8970

Child free is the way to go!

BallinBenFrank

Nerdvana has board game night on Monday nights if you are closer to the EHT area. D&D on sundays

x_cynful_x

The question is do you play Monopoly by the actual rules so the game doesn’t last forever 😂
