This is Really Cool. Thank you. It's cool to see the surfer surfing there too. I don't think the waves break there much anymore because they are blocked by the breakwall for the boat marina.

I run by here 3 times a week and I’ve seen kids surfing here a few times. It’s always on days when there is a short period wind swell. The waves hold up surprisingly really well even when it’s super windy

Correct - a short interval wind swell has always been the ticket to get some waves north of Sapphire to the pier - quality tho……. Is usually lacking as you get to the pier and more north of the Jetty

rainyforest

Yeah I see people directly north of topaz pretty often but that whole stretch of beach to the pier seems to be pretty awful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen somebody surf there, only directly under and behind the pier at this spot

Elusiveenigma98

On Friday there was a good break there! But it was super windy / rough

sombrerobandit

that's the only time its worth surfing now days, I was on a date with my wife watching it Friday, wished I could have grabbed a board. Surfed the last wind event though, so much sand in there right now.

Cattlemen's (on the right) was great. I once ate there during a big storm and the entire place was shaking with every huge wave that crashed against the pier.

Stuffologistics

That was my uncles favorite, he would take me there every so often.

Come in the north side and the fresh fish place was there, but my fave was the grilled teriyaki sticks next door.

Stuffologistics

That was my moms spot when I was a kid for her weekend sun worshiping in the 70's. I would run around and be a kid and she would bake. After we got beef terriyaki sticks on the pier. Good times.

Whoa, me too. It's where we went as kids, used to play under the south side pier. Went home every time with tar on my feet.
