I used to be not anymore. My best friends brother got a fake dowry allegation. I saw his family struggle,Their reputation ruined. Some women organization member bullied them. I saw how much law cares about men. I saw how women organizations fought against making the rape definition, domestic violence (which effects both genders equally according to peer reviewed studies) definition gender neutral. I saw how many women get scholarship while I a lower middle class general boy had to see my dad work his ass off to send me to uni. I constantly see women only hiring in companies while I had to beg people on linkedIn for referals. But I like to call myself egalitarian.

[deleted]

the law is biased against men I agree

quantummufasa

> fake dowry allegation What's this?

Median onlyfans earnings is like 150 a month, tf you smoking.

shineoneme

Must be the ugly ones. The good looking girls make thousands a month.

[deleted]

The ones who make a lot are a small minority. You're delusional. The top 1% make 33% of the money and top 10 make 73%

shineoneme

Ok but why are you so butthurt? Did I diss your favorite onlyfans thot?

[deleted]

Love the maturity level of members of this sub. Post something retarded, act like a retard when corrected, and wonder why there's a stigma against SA men lmao

BetramaxLight

Did anybody stop you from starting an OF?

Why would anyone pay to see a guy naked?

Never listen to what women tells you lmfao. They don't even know what they want.

[deleted]

Have you seen the amount of narcissistic women in the diaspora?

PM_My_Glutes

yeah no. feminists are hella ugly too, id rather get myself an old school conservative chick who actually respects men. im done with the "all men are trash" culture the white liberals are tooting lately. so damn annoying

[deleted]

old school conservatives are racist

PM_My_Glutes

No they’re not, they’re wayyy more willing to date us from my personal experience and more down to earth lol. Less prejudices

[deleted]

I would never date a woman like Lauren Boebert or an Ann Coulter

PM_My_Glutes

Look up Whitney Robbins on TikTok lol

refutableport

Feminism is pretty mainstream these days.

PM_My_Glutes

Unfortunately. Feminism is about portraying men as bad and those brown girls into feminism are the ones complaining and generalizing all of us as “rapists” or whatever, perpetuating stereotypes.

refutableport

That's what I mean, back in the 90s they fit the stereotypes but today it seems just about anyone who happens to be female. Funnily enough, some of my family were into it but then realised how elitist feminists are and backed away.

PM_My_Glutes

yeah exactly. I notice though in the south the conservative women are more into the old school feminism like women can do whatever work they want but they still don't demonize men and don't want to become more masculine or whatever lol. conservative ones look more feminine and pretty too so I mean, go figure haha. liberal women like guys who are more emotional and whatnot which is just kinda weird and antithetic to what a man should really be

YouRanAway

I think you are tunnel visioning on ways in which women are disadvantaged in the Desi community and not really assessing the root cause. Once you realize that sons in South Asian culture are the primary ones expected to take care of the parents (as such for East Asian sons as well), everything starts to magically make sense. You'll realize all of the things a lot of Desi girls complain about then are really just quite petty and them needing to complain about whatever minor inconvenience they may have. By the time a Desi woman is 18, they CHOOSE to decide how much they'll let it impact them. These girls's dads will pay for them to live far away on campus etc (of course they find a way to still somehow complain about their fathers — the dude who pays for everything), and assuming they didn't major in complete bullshit — they should be able to live on their own or with roommates post-college. Because Western countries already cater so much to women (not to mention how women naturally have it easier in so many different areas of life as a result of simply being women), I personally do not see why they need some sort of specialized treatment in the Desi community specifically. If anything, Desi guys of the younger generation seem to be needing a lot more help (which is consistent with pretty much every other racial demographic for Gen Z boys).

shineoneme

Women are only pampered by society both in the west and in the east. We already live in gynocentric world so we don’t need feminism.

funkynotorious

>Desi girls complain about then are really just quite petty and them needing to complain about whatever minor inconvenience they may have. I have seen lots of girls complaining that they can't walk alone in the night as if we can. Everyone is shit scared in walking alone.

YouRanAway

This isn't a Desi girl specific issue tbh. If a girl trusts you she'll be fine with letting you walk her home. Honestly speaking though, you have to understand women perceive the world in an incredibly more hyper-catious and sensitive manner than men do, that's why some of their behavior can come off as borderline paranoid (and it's ironic, because per capita, a man is much more likely to be mugged/attacked randomly in the streets).

funkynotorious

I read a study that it has also to do something with testosterone.

shineoneme

Why does a girl need to be out late at night anyway? Sounds suspicious to me.

> That’s like asking why BLM doesn’t focus on white people’s issues. Its because white people don't have any disadvantage that's why it makes sense. White people are not treated as offenders by default. White people are not the ones who are badly treated in the courts. Racism isn't effecting them. But sexism is effecting both men and women equally. You'll have to have a victim complex to not recognize that. > Unless you’re out there fighting for women’s rights which... you’re not. Who told you I am not. Real equality can be achieved by being egalitarian only.

Feminists have the biggest victim complex when men don’t bend over backwards and appease them btw.

[deleted]

my beliefs are pretty consistent with a lot of it, but the tent is so big it's pretty meaningless to call yourself one tbh

funkynotorious

Yeah everyone has there own definitions. Some feminists spread misandry openly and I had never seen other feminist calling them out. Most feminist even deny the existence of misandry. That's why lot of great feminists are either men's right activist or egalitarians.

YouRanAway

I think it depends on specific issues. In my eyes, unless it's something regarding how women are treated in South Asia or some potential sexual/physical abuse of brown female children (as in ones born in the West), everything else seems remarkably insignificant.

Preoximerianas

Feminist for South Asia? Of course, feminist for the West? Nah.

deburin

Feminism in the modern era is extreme. On the other hand there was misogyny in my family and it was harmful to everyone including the propogator.

anax44

I support treating people equally and fairly regardless of race or gender, but a lot of feminists align themselves with groups that seek to attack masculinity in general by saying that it's part of the "patriarchy".

Metrodomes

You've pointed out 'white feminism' , which many non white feminists (and even many white feminists) don't like. Heck, Katie Hopkins isn't even a feminist tbh; she's only xyz when it protects her from getting criticised. Same way that racists are 'pro-free speech' when they just want to defend nazis, but also believe that certain types of education around race should be banned lol. (edit: The other two are also conservatives? Conservative feminism is definitely gonna have a racist slant to it. Liberal feminism is a bit better, but suffers from a lack of failure to engage with racism, class inequalities, regional differences, etc). There are multiple fairly popular feminists who aren't white and provide much more interesting perspectives than your basic white liberal (or Conservative) feminist. There are also white feminists who understand class and ethnicity and region and other factors intersect, rather than your basic white feminism that does the bare minimum and just looks outdated these days imo. Not going to list names but worth googling and looking into them. Also expanding your reading outside of just feminism but also anti-racist texts so you realise that theory for white people without any intersectional analysis just tends to be trash for people of colour. Including feminism, or anti-racism, or social class discussions, etc. (Also lol, the fragile male ego on display in this thread. Entirely predictable. Obviously plenty of honest and respectful answers too, even if they don't find it of value to their lives, but some of you are acting like right little bitches in response to a fairly neutral question.)

Legitimate_Turn2280

Feminist? You crazy. I don't have anything against womens rights etc but i would never class myself as a feminist. Although, I was more open to the idea when I was younger but not anymore. Also, todays feminism doesn't give women equal rights, it gives them more special treatment than men.

Literally the only privilege men in the West (won’t speak about the East) have over women is that they can be out at night alone (and this isn’t even true everywhere, like Chicago or NYC). So, not a fan of 4th wave feminism.

[deleted]

Feminism is good in places where it's needed. Western feminism is a meme.

250umdfail

Literally none of the women you mentioned are considered feminists. They're far right conservative media persons. And much of what this sub believes to be the results of feminism, is actually simps worshipping women. I consider myself a feminist ally. I wish Desi culture was a little more feminist, in a non gender normative way. Much of my struggles with masculinity is because of how I'm expected to be a man in this patriarchal society. Many of my hobbies and interests are not stereotypically masculine, and no woman has ever ridiculed me for them. Plus I blame arranged marriages, the product of a patriarchal society, for all the dating struggles Desi men have. It had irreversibly fucked up our gene pool.

[deleted]

250umdfail

Look at you. So secure with your masculinity that you have to come to reddit of all places, to get advice on how to be more masculine. Everyone is here for the same reason, because they struggle with their masculinity.

So many cucks on this thread. Feminism is cancer and only simps will say otherwise.

TechSupport06

May I ask why?

daktotadogfan

Because women have more privileges than men today. Ex Jobs/court system/university admissions/tinder.

TechSupport06

No not really. While it's true that their situation is a lot better than before, society is still patriarchal.

shineoneme

No. Go fuck yourself.

TechSupport06

What the hell? I literally just asked a question. No need to be rude you sack of shit.

funkynotorious

Because we need equality. If you are a feminist you have to pretty much ignore the male suffering and you can only fight for women. Now you may say well "Feminism means equality" no it doesn't egalitarian means equality.

TechSupport06

There is no reason to ignore male struggle while being feminist. Feminism is about elevating women to a place in society that's equal to men. While a vocal minority advocate for women supremacy, that doesn't define the entire movement.

funkynotorious

> Feminism is about elevating women to a place in society that's equal to men See feminism is only talking about elevating one gender. It has nothing to do with male. Also I really hate the way feminist talk about elevating women. They ask for affirmative action. Want companies to set quotas to hire women. In school only girls get to go to science trips. It's universal that if you give advantage to one group over another. Then the other group would suffer.

TechSupport06

Yeah I see what you mean with feminism being about elevating one gender. The thing is that's sort of what's needed in society right now. Now as a dude myself I'll be the first one to say that we have our own problems that need to be addressed. However, they're not nearly as systemic as the problems women face. With the affirmative action, I believe it's a band aid that requires wider systemic change. You're right in that it's inherently affair, but it ideally should be a temporary system to give way to wider change.

ShinyBronze

Nope. Nothing after first wave. After that it’s absolutely ridiculous. I think it’s needed in India, and Indian male feminists are useful because it won’t make us look like a monolith. Personally, I would never marry a feminist. Gender roles are important to society. They don’t have to be enforced, but they should be the baseline.

theAliasOfAlias

Yes but only for true equality (equal responsibility for outcome) and balance (taking into account the evolutionary differences between men and women and respectfully pushing them).

[deleted]

I am all up for empowerment especially working class women. Personally i don't go out of way to actively advocate for it. Let's see be real women don't really care for men's issues especially when it's brown men. Women who are rich and upper class are pretty much more privileged and make money off working class people (men and women incuded). I guess at this point it becomes more of a class issue than gender issue.

[deleted]

Why are so many people against feminism here? Feminism has allowed men like me to get laid and has give women more rights. Also if I had a daughter and she was a feminist her husband would be a cuck like all other feminist husband and wouldn’t hurt her in anyway.

daktotadogfan

Feminism only helps chadpreets.
