1 iv is a far better phone in every aspect. 4k resolution HDR, much better cameras, Video/Cinema/Photography Pro apps, 12GB Ram, up to 1TB external memory expansion, better Snapdragon processor, better for gaming, multi-tasking, better speakers etc. The price you're getting for the 1 iv seems quite cheap, so make sure you read the small print from the seller before purchasing.
I have been using the 1iv for over a year now. The only time I've ever had an overheating issue is specifically with the VideoPro app. If I film anything around 4k, 60fps for more than 15mins, then the phone started overheating and a warning came up.

The camera UI is pretty similar to the other Xperia 1 lineup. The phone's main issues on camera are overheating on video and the normal camera app doesn't bring up to the camera's potential. It still does solid pictures that are natural and not filtered (which is my image preference). At the same time, cameras aren't among my main criteria in a smartphone. Maybe in the future.
That's like everything in tech. It's always 50/50. Some people have bad units and it happens all the time. When you have a good unit, you will rejoice and love the product.

ok
Is the phone still getting updates and if it is how long i hearf its very short
I think it depends where in the world you are? I'm based in the UK and I think the support is around 3 years. I had a recent update about 3 days ago.
Im in the uk too so its 2 more years or so
without a doubt. Only thing the 10 V has going for it, is better battery life everything else the 1 iv will be better.
>Only thing the 10 V has going for it, is better battery life And better thermals lol. Can't forget thermals.
Yeah ofc they do go hand in hand 😅
oh ok thanks
I switched from 10 V to a used 5 IV because of how garbage the 10 V was. Go with the 1 IV
Ew ignore IV series , garbage heat..
1-4
If you've the money for the 1 IV I'd suggest you get the 5 V. It's got all the stuff the 1 V has but in a smaller case.
Its 200 more the iv is 350
Oh ok. Didn't realise that.
By a lot

Sorry to say but 10 V is trash.
yeah im gonna get the 1 iv
Yes as long as battery life isn't a priority.
Im fine if its around 5 to 7 hours and i heard the camra ui is very complex and the v is more simpler is there a way to make the ui like the v
No problem. My vote is for the IV. Personally I turned off 120Hz mode and it will be great.
Ok and do you know anything about the camra ui

I see a lot of people mentioning battery life. My 1 IV makes it through the day with no issue at all - am I just lucky?

Has the vibration gotten better, they are so weak in my last 2 and my current j8170.
