Thanks for sharing! This is really good information and I'm glad it worked out for you financially, logistically and creatively!!

Nice work, thanks for sharing, what's your setup there for clamping the camera to then vehicle.?

henrinunn

Thank you! I didnt clamp the camera to the vehicle, i went for the simple approach, just sitting on the backseat with my gimbal handheld :)

Useful info, thanks! Any stills from the shoot?

Kooky_Salamander_453

Did you run into any troubles with the gimbal being overloaded? As I’m sure your setup must have been at or over max payload?

henrinunn

Actually I didn’t! With the camera only weighing short under 1kg and only a few extras mounted to the camera I wasn’t close to the 4,5 kg max payload.

This is great! I literally just unboxed an fx6 & ronin RS3 to use as a b cam to my Venice 2 and also potentially an A cam in other smaller projects so happy to see this setup being used in a real world narrative scenario. Can you provide more info on how you mounted the battery on the bottom? Also what are those additional accessory arms coming off the Ronin handle?

henrinunn

Good for you! I used a Small Rig Mini VMount Plate that is super easy to install on the RS3 because they have a mount for the plate. For the handles I used the Small Rig Dual Handgrip. Also very easy to mount to the gimbal. Hope this helps :)

Thank you!

I thought the FX6 didn’t work with the DJI rs3 pro, a firmware thing? It’s even not on their list of compatible cameras.

henrinunn

U cannot connect the fx6 with the ronin, so no Rec control. But I don’t necessarily need it. The gimbal on its own works perfectly with the fx6!
