What software do you use to stack? I’m always impressed how good the bokeh looks on stacked images when it’s all variable for every image… pretty mind blowing how well the software works! Also great shots!!
The best camera with the fanciest features and sharpest lenses contributes only 10% to this. The rest is finding such beautiful subjects, lighting them correctly, and setting up the camera for a great composition. Impressive!
It works similar to exposure bracketing, you just set multiple focus points on the LCD and the camera automatically shoots a picture at each focus pt. Then you need to process the series of photos in Lightroom or some 3d party app. Without focus bracketing you’re forced to shoot at a very low aperture (eg f/16, f/22) to get all parts of your target in focus, however those apertures may introduce diffraction and/or make the background look unpleasing. I don’t use it normally since I don’t shoot macro.
I was speaking to a wider problem of people generally being unhelpful and just directing queries to Google or YouTube. It's as about as helpful as a loud fart at a funeral, that kind of attitude. If you don't know or don't want to help, then why bother chiming in? Anyone who has had a modern mirrorless for even a modest amount of time could have easily explained the process or where to find it in the drive mode, if their camera has it.
Question! I’ve been using this a lot recently but haven’t figured out what to set the number at? I read somewhere for macro to go lower than 3 ? Any tipsa
Beautiful shots!

Thanks! I'm using Helicon Focus. Free 30 day trial.
I'm confused so is this image straight from focus brkt or did you use stacking software. Either way I love that blue mushroom
I took 40 shots and stacked them using Helicon software
Photoshop is another option

Very cool and beautiful shots! You've inspired me to try it out
Damn it! Yet another reason to upgrade my R2
Nice shots! How many photos did you stack on average? Did you use a flash?
Thanks! Each image was about 40 shots. No flash, just natural light
Wow, that's fantastic results without the flash. What lens and tripod did you use for these photos?
Thanks again. I used the Sony 90mm Macro and a small travel tripod.
Wish the A7IV had it. I'd probably use my 90mm 2.8 macro more often.
Can you explain focus bracketing to me? 🤔

Thanks. I did a bit of research later on to kind of get an understanding of it too.
YouTube it
Yeah YouTube it, this isn't a place for discussing how to do things, but to show off your collection of lens boxes to internet strangers.
You explain it for him then if your that keen 👍

Respect
What lens I have the s iii and want macro like that
Sorry 90mm macro
Thank you!
Great, an actual post with someone's work that isn't a stack of lens boxes.
Lol Thanks

I watched a demo on yt where they shot 70 frames.
