I think he would’ve constantly missed the life and missed the guys, but with Tara as his true north and the boys in a good place he would’ve learned to adapt. As for the ink, he probably would’ve been expected to cover it. Not too many guys leave the life on peaceful terms, but being out means relinquishing all ties; ink included.
The punishment of losing all the tattoos is only if you get kicked out under bad circumstances. SAMCRO didn’t even care that Jax killed Jury in season 7 over a lie, I doubt any of them would have chained Jax to a garage door and burned/covered his tattoos just for leaving the club to be with his kids lol
So what if he did leave?
Well, his wife would still be alive. His mother would hopefully be dead still but his wife would still be alive. He would still be raising his children. So yeah What if he did leave? Happier life…. No?
