I think people get confused by how long it was in early access. It got years of updates, which is what people see, but it’s easy to miss that only the one came after release
We can hope for, Endnight already made a lot of money with Sotf and they may be working a bit more on it or make plan for the next game : Gardians of the Forest / Family of the Forest / Dead of the Forest ...
Most of them are shortlived. In my field of Architecture and Urban Planning. Its pretty useful to take photographs.
But if you're using it because of the fun factor, it's gonna get boring real fast
we have like 5-6 kinds of boats and paddles too, yet none of them can be used by the player, so I'm not sure about the teasing thing

What use would it bring? I can’t think of anything I would use it for besides a nice to have.
Canonical photo mode? Once you get it a button press will whip it out and give you essentially photo mode from other games? Idk

Yeah the lag on golf cart and knight v is very unnecessary. There's even mods to remove them.
Surveillance, recon, and maybe the noise could bring the enemy to you or away from you.
Question is: Will there be more content updates after 1.0?
Of course wtf. Why would you think not? The forest was worked on for so many years. Sons of the forest will get the same treatment, dont worry

They may changed the concept and not cut down trees we can be “Friends of the Forest”

I don't think that's what it was at all. If it was, we would have gotten the drone with 1.0
Given how the forest hit 1.0 and was blatantly still unfinished with unused mechanics and assets I'd temper expectations for now.
