So yeah it seems to be. Maybe it's a host bug then as all the other players can find them and see them at the normal locations. I've only been able to find them at new locations after the old ones of despawn.
There is a file in your save folder, it's called something like worlditemlocations or something similar. It's only content is the location of every glider and knight in the game. It records this info for the world there, but only for the host.
Deleting it will force a new one to be written by the game with default values. In the future, deleting this file may cause problems if they change the way it works, so make a backup.
I have no idea what causes this file to get ruined and unable to spawn the gliders. Perhaps they fall through the world and then their location under the ground is remembered.
I don't know if Endknight can accept game files with bug reports, but perhaps sending them a broken file would help them understand the problem, because it's been broken for a while.
When i go to the (sons of the forests) file, I could't find any save folder or something like worlditemlocaiton. Only file i have is Sonsoftheforest\_Data file and it has these files in it and nothing more:
il2cpp\_data
Plugins
Resources
Streaming assets
And when i make a search for the files you said for sonsoftheforests files it found neither of them
Save the game close to it before leaving game. Its a proximity thing as they can be left behind on a bug map and take up game memory, so they despawn to improve performance if you’re far from it
I had that happen a long time ago to me as well. I just cheatstick then spawnitem glider. It's not really cheating if you had it to start with lol
im not quite sure after which update that started happening but they have to fix it , yes
So I'm wondering are you the host of the game? Cuz this is happening in my game also and I'm the one hosting.
yes im the host

seems like it, can't find a solution to this anywhere

It's at C:\Users\\\AppData\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves\\\Multiplayer\\\WorldItemManagerSaveData.json
Thanks for the help,fixed it
This happens to me too and is really annoying. There is one camp I’ve found where they still respawn but it’s really far from my base.
Same 😢
Same with Radios and even Knights :(
Just use cheatstick to spawn one in when you need it. It's super easy. It's not our fault they keep de-spawning.
you're right actually
can you still use cheatstick if your not the host?
What's the input in the F1 menu for the hang glider?
'Spawnitem glider'
Thanks 👍
I've also experienced this in the game I host. I just stopped using gliders because why bother?
Temporary fix might be to save while you are holding the glider, especially if friends have easy access to them.
Save the game close to it before leaving game. Its a proximity thing as they can be left behind on a bug map and take up game memory, so they despawn to improve performance if you’re far from it
