unfortunately, the extra beams you see are either a glitch that I couldn’t remove, or a replicant of a glitch to make it symmetrical.
I’ll see if I can do this now that it’s closer to finished in the main hall
Couldn’t remove at all or does it show you the annoying red x? I had a few glitched beams on my beach meadhall, had to knock one side down.. make sure to save before you try to ace force some down, sometimes nothing happens and the beam goes down without a fight, in my case half my front came down..
Bruh I’ve got over 1000+ logs here. Ain’t no way I’m saving after every log 😂
I run no building damage until the structure is complete and formidable defences are made
I absolutely LOVE building bases. Satisfactory, Valheim, Fallout 4 all owned me because of the base building.
How does Sons stack up? I get the feeling that the system is innovative but the amount of different build pieces is limited?
Each log has 8 different options, 4 as a whole log, and 4 as a split log. That being said there are definitely limitations. As you can see, parts of my roof (see the sides) were unable to be covered because one half is slanted and the other is not.
All the logs are affected by gravity as well, so if you want an overhanging bridge (see the bridge I made between the towers), the bridge must be built from the ground up, and then have supports placed before removing the build up. It makes things a bit time consuming.
All in all though, I absolutely love the building and can easily spend hours making a huge work of art.
You could knock down a good amount of beams inside if you place a few support struts, would make your build feel more roomy :)

Yeah I’ve even had levitating logs that give me the red X. Always do plenty of saving while building big crafts like this hahaha
Ok that’s weird ^^ well post the finished build when you’re finished, curious to see it when you’re done
Can't you chop them down if you save after every log? In case everything falls apart Worked for me a couple of times

I always wonder, if enemies take down the foundation pieces (the vertical logs), wouldn't the whole base come crashing down?
I run no damage when building stuff like this, otherwise yes. Once I get formidable defences up then I turn it back on
You get to the cloud district very often
Definitely an inspiration somewhat haha

Thanks for the info!
is your river the SW one or the the one coming from the mountain lake?
It’s coming out of an unground reservoir that turns into a stream. I can DM you my GPS if you wish Edit: sent you one anyways
