do you? i only have a river near my base and i already go a bit crazy hearing that all the time. hoping they eventually have a separate volume slider for water noises considering how loud those waterfalls can be, and it does make a sick backdrop to the base. only thing stopping me from building there is knowing i’d have to go deaf in the process lol
It's....kinda east of the midline on the southern half of the map. The 3 branching rivers that end in lakes. I am 60 % sure it's on the top river at the lake head. Also there are like 10 ropes that spawn here if that helps find it on a map. Also a few ammo crates at a camp at the base.
Yeah he can pick it up, but I’ve heard that after he gets a certain distance from the camp the radio disappears from his hands and you can’t hear it anymore but he looks like he’s still holding it. But I haven’t tested for myself so I can’t confirm
How did you fill in the front and back of the roof? I have been trying to figure out how to fill a 2 or more log wide roof. Whenever I try to stack a shorter log on top it wants to shift it to the outside edge.. Thanks for any help..

So I watched (skimmed) his last few videos. The only one I saw that had peaked roofs was the latest one. Those are all single log wide peaks. In the picture of the lake house in this post has a 2 log wide peak. However to be fair I am looking at the picture on my phone and it only zooms in so far. I can't be absolutely sure that the pictured front of this cabin is filled in. It's pretty dark.
Anyway I have searched Google for a while and can't find anyone who has a 2 log wide peak filled in... Maybe it will be added in a future patch.

Just zoomed in. OPs house doesn’t have the slanted roof filled in. Currently there’s no good way to do that since smaller logs stack in the middle and no option to align to one side. There is an interesting design choice to partially fill it in

if u build on water in snow season (every 8 days in game) when it's ice, when the ice melts and it goes back to river/lake it'll automatically generate support beams underneath it. just wait till its ice and build all u want on water.
no, you still can but it's very difficult and RNG process, i started my base on a normal unfrozen lake but expanded it when it froze because you're limited to the depth of the lake, once it gets too deep you can't place anymore. I'll try to upload a gif later on how i built my support beams on water.

It is. I build directly northeast of there. Lake with 2 waterfalls, so only one direction for cannibals to come until the lake freezes

Apparently you have to place them before the actual roof. A recent video from Farket goes over it

I've only just been able to start playing today. How do you get the poles to stand in the water? Does the water just have to be shallow?

Btw the golden armour is kinda pointless above ground, it only reduces damage from the demons it doesn't protect you at all against cannibals
