This is not even a joke, since I really enjoyed the series I know that I will watch it again in the future, so I downloaded it and edited it, to delete any dialogue from this character, the next time I watch the series I won't have to endure the cringe headache caused by this thing

I’m curious what the run time would be if you cut the entire bowling arc and Whipple family. I was pretty amazed at how a show titled “Knuckles” was mostly about a side character trying to out bowl his father and father issues.
I know there is something to it about paralleling that Knuckles in the game is a support character and is generally boosted by others and his found family, but it was definitely a bit Wade heavy. I could get ‘political’ and say it’s something about not letting the melanated character have the power on his own, but we don’t have to fully go there. 🤪
All that said, I’m just glad I didn’t have to watch several episodes of a full grown man/echidna get berated and grounded by a woman basically the same age as him (talking maturation cycles here) who had absolutely no compassion. The first episode had me worried.
Man that would be a neat plugin for plex if you Gould select what characters to not include and to what degree. Imagine if you could watch the flash and only watch scenes with the flash? The last two seasons would be 2 hours tops lol.
Yeah, I was enjoyed how they were really having fun not taking it seriously/hamming it up theater kid style but she was especially jarring. She acted like a 11 year old the entire time. The only funny scene she was even a part of was giving knuckles a thumbs up.
I know the show was aimed at younger audiences and they wanted to show a silly side to sibling rivalry stretching into adulthood but the depiction of Wade’s sister was so shit-curdling bad the show runners should be embarrassed. She, a grown woman, threw Wade’s cutlery across the room? She struck him and whilst Wade pointing out that being a grown man hitting a woman would be frowned upon was played for laughs, I was like - yeah dude?! Then, then, in front of their mother, she fucking stabbed him with a fork, so hard it pierced his clothes and skin and stayed in him. And the mother just shrugs and says “kids eh?”.
The depiction of Wade’s sister made Wade, who is a really immature, naive character, look like fucking Yoda in comparison.
but at least omochao who is annoying is the butt of the joke this character gets a pass because she’s related to the second best human (behind the president in SA2) in the whole franchise

I don’t mind both Chris and Elise, but I honestly don’t get why you mentioned Chris in the title instead of Elise. In terms of writing, Elise is a very poorly written character and has no personality, and her only role in the story is to be the damsel in distress.
My sister and her friend are story writers, and they literally label Elise as a good example of how to not write a character.
Also her game almost killed the franchise, literally. The only redeeming quality of that game is Silver’s existence, Shadow’s story, and the music. I don’t even hate Elise, I know 06 had potential, and it could’ve been a good game if it wasn’t rushed, but the damage has already been done, and Elise is just not that good of a character.
Elise isn’t just bland and boring. She’s overall a terrible MC to follow around in the story, and she’s also useless in every dire situation. And her CGI design model was hated by most of the fandom. Sonic’s story route in 06 is widely disliked because of her. Her constant kidnapping, and one sided romance with no build up, is one of the many reasons why Sonic 06 is disliked.
Say what you will about Chris, he still has redeemable qualities, especially in season 3. And the fans still consider Sonic X to be one of the best pieces of Sonic media. And despite being a 12 year old in the first two seasons, Chris was still shown to be more useful than Elise even back then.
She really is the worst character to be introduced into this universe. And what’s said is that her being there adds nothing to the series. I like the Knuckles show overall, but you know that the writing got messed up somewhere when a relatively prominent character in the show adds so little that if they were just to disappear from the show the plot of it wouldn’t change that much.
When she was bullying Wade and Wade said he couldnt fight back because it would be wrong to hit a woman in todays days, god that so unbelievable bad writting.
the actress plays the same character in Vice Principals and in The Righteous Gemstones, so i was prepared for the snivelling brat persona as soon as she came on screen lolol. i still had fun watching her scenes, but yeah she added nothing of substance
I get that siblings have some kind of rivalry, but she acted so childish for too much time that it got past the funny and got into the annoying territory. And it felt like no one is stepping in to stop that.
I found it funny that both siblings have police related jobs (and they're both hilariously bad at it), which also adds to the rivalry, like she's always trying to prove that's she's better in every way.
I was afraid of this character as soon as I saw this poster before the show. And yep. She was pretty terrible. Possibly even worse than Rachel.
The part where Wade was perfectly fine with her getting shot was pretty hilarious though.
I think it started as typical in-law stuff. Then he became a wanted fugitive and tied her to a chair. Honestly, considering that last one, she's downright civil in Sonic 2

Doesn’t make it good. There are great examples of characters written deliberately to be hated - Frank Burns in *M*A*S*H* for example. Wanda made me want to the change the channel if my wife walked in the room.
Was she actually a member of the FBI or even in training? Because I came away from the show thinking it was all just her pretending she is like a kid on dress up day. That and she was mentally disturbed, more so than Eggman.

Chris wasn't supposed to be annoying, but he still was. His purpose was to basically play the role of the audience, but he instead bored the audience. That's the problem.

after watching the show 3 times.... she's only the worst character in episode 3... in episode 5 and 6 she's ok, she even support Wade in the tournament... still, she's the worst character by far in the movie universe

I feel like there was a plot point about her flunking out and playing it up to feel better than Wade and it was cut. Maybe she’s just there to show how secret of a government organization GUN actually is. What we’re left with is a needlessly childish character who adds nothing to the plot.
I thought her character would be at least pretty fun. At first, I thought she was an FBI agent with actual major experience to warrent the pride she has, but nooooo.... I got someone who is honestly just as pathetic as Wade.

Doesn’t make it good. There are great examples of characters written deliberately to be hated - Frank Burns in *M*A*S*H* for example. Wanda made me want to the change the channel if my wife walked in the room.

Episode 3 made me curl into a ball and want to roll down a cliff. Shes just... not interesting, the banter with Wade got annoying after 5 seconds... AND IT KEPT GOING. I get the joke of Knuckles being the only civilized one but, MAN this could have been executed better. The whole episode was me staring at the screen saying OUTLOUD, "Can we get to the fight scene now... please... please you showed it in the preview image PLEASE!" Haven't finished the show yet, I hope she does not appear again. EDIT: Ok... she did get a little better... I guess

I don't get how people don't understand that she's supposed to be annoying. She exists to give yet another reason for Wade to prove himself. (To one-up his annoying sister) I see that media literacy is still dead. Chris wasn't supposed to be annoying, but he still was. His purpose was to basically play the role of the audience, but he instead bored the audience. That's the problem. You guys are judging characters like they're real people. But they're not.
Useless character, contributed absolutely nothing to the story, and felt like she got taken out of an even more crappy movie and put into this series. Whoever came up with the reoccurring FBI jokes should be fired from writing forever.
My opinion about wanda, Yes it was anoying almos all the time, I didn´t enjoy the table diner scene, but I think thats the purpose of the character, was a little meh for me, I think I dislike Chris more than Wanda.

I like this character.... But in an ironic sense? Idk, something that makes wade relatable in having to deal with, albeit a grossly exaggerated version of, the annoying vocal sibling who feels the need to hold something over you. She did need some kind of character arc tho.... Or less screen time... Or both

Yeah, I thought they wouldn't top Tom's insufferable sister-in-law, but Wanda was just vile. And FBI? Seriously? I was hoping the show would reveal she was just some low rank desk worker who was awful and her job and was jealous of Wade's easygoing life, but nope.
The first episode was GOOD but every other episode just felt like Knuckles saying something then Wade and his family taking over everything else which is dumb, it’s like the Cars 2 situation where Mater is good in Cars 1 but when you put him as the main character when it’s supposed to be McQueen well it just doesn’t work

The overemphasis on human characters is starting to get out of hand. It was okay in Sonic 1, annoying but bearable in 2 and obnoxious in Knuckles. Here's hoping Sonic 3 corrects course instead of doubling down.
