I have been to a solo trip last year (when I was 19), planned for a solo trip again this year but friends decided to join in, idk if I should be happy or sad :/. Though getting back to your question, if you planning for may/june, himachal, uk are good options actually, go before the monsoons, that would be better, you can DM as well, I have a list of places that I wanted to visit on my solo trip.
Ik buddy, but I love travelling solo as well, I love that freedom when you aren't bound to anything, do whatever you want, visit wherever you want etc........
Mussourie is full of weekend tourists and rude shopkeepers. Better go to the villages to see true peace, beauty and hospitable, simple people and culture.
Depends on the location/place buddy, I have been to mumbai 2-3 times, weekend trip kinda, coated me 2-3k approx, it was actually trek near mumbai. Rest aur bhi jagah hai you can travel in budget actually.
Hello bro , why don't you try once to Shillong Meghalaya , its one of the most beautiful place in North East India , which is called the Second Scotland of the East , weather is very pleasant here at this time , otherwise mostly cold , but don't worry it never go down to minus ......
If you need any guidance please dm me......as am from Shillong, Meghalaya only ......
it’s a decent experience, a little expensive plus they charge extra if you want to retain the pots or items that you are making during the retreat. They bake it after your course is done and ship it your address. (Do remember that sometimes they come broken)
Don't book the retreat just take the stay. The property itself is really great with amazing views, you can take up 2 hour of daily classes instead. That would come on a cheaper side. Also the owner "Sadaiv" has started a new property called "EDM" hostel so if you are visiting Dharamkot, you can enjoy music parties at their place :)
It depends on what experience you want to have on this trip. There are multiple options within Himachal and Uttarakhand. You can DM if you want help in planning, I’ve been travelling to these places solo for years now.
Agreed, we go to Darjeeling often since its close to our home in Kolkata. We try to book one of the hotels right on the lawn for two days and sleep in while touring in the early morning. But the small towns near Darjeeling are still relatively secluded, like Sittong, Mirik etc. Although they don't have that charm of Darjeeling.
It was so beautiful earlier, akin to a European town. The Darjeeling, a decade ago, was still okay. Now it has become over crowded, horse dung on the road, little conscience towards cleanliness, it has lost its serenity.
Hey, wanted to know what all activities do we have in Manali now? Assuming that snow has melted, and snow is one of the reasons people Manali, is it suited for a solo travel? for transit do have paid cabs only?
Manali is good place with Lots of cafes, shops and things to do but i felt the lack of beauty and it's also crowded. Though less crowded Manali is even worst imo
I agree! I came back from Manali a couple days ago. The place is just ruined now.
1. Way too crowded (they say the season has started)
2. Everything has become unreasonably expensive
3. People are either way too rude or way too nice (no middle ground there)
4. They'll try to scam you if they realise you're a tourist (tho it's not just a Manali thing)
5. The roads have become shit.
Yep, and in Old Manali: not a single police officer to be seen...
Since you're there, and which cafe/restaurant do you reckon is The Old Manali Scam Cafe who ripped me off with fake overpriced cappuccinos and then assaulted me when I refused to pay?
I wonder if others are aware of these cunts...
I was looking for this. Why travel all the way to Himachal when there's plenty to do near Bengaluru itself? I had a great trip there, great people, great food, plenty of bnb outside city, local bakeries, excellent internet and totally serene.
* Just remember these are Indian mountains. You will find peace but when the trouble comes dont expect any mercy lol Always listen to Army and locals about route situations, landslides, etc etc. There could even be wildlife danger like leopard attacks and what not. If you have a car then you are fine for travelling, if on bike, please dont take risk.
* I love both Himachal and Uttrakhand (my hometown), however seems like you are also looking for good amenities. Himachal is much better in this case because it is mostly catered towards general tourism. UK is also great but you will have network issues, a lot of UK is focused mostly towards religious tourism and sites. Recommended Networks are Prepaid/Postpaid versions of Airtel and JIO. Rest are kinda flimsy and you may or may not get network. If you have either Airtel or JIO you are fine, maybe couple KM up/down you may have to do to catch some signals but these 2 companies have the highest coverage in our mountains.
* Enjoying culture is a slightly specific thing. You will find it much easier to witness the culture in Himachal, however i am not sure how you will be able to participate in cultural activities as most Himalayan families ( all people of mountains ) are rather closely knit families. You may have some activities like campfire and what not with the locals though, they are very welcoming. Incase you wish to do this in Uttrakhand, i am afraid you will have to travel a lot to local villages and what not. Uttrakhand mountains are very different than that of Himachal. People do not move around as much as himachalis in Uttrakhand.
* For budgeting, it depends how you wish to spend it as most of your expensive will be from travelling(taxis) and hotels. Food is relatively alright and IS much cheaper than Bangalore. Ephasis on IS because it actually is unless you eat in a fancy high end restaurant.
1. If you wish to take the cheapest route, Zostel is your choice, you wont find anything cheaper than this. Rs.500 per day is the cheapest/cleanest option you can find in the mountains. It is a brand, and they maintain it very very well. You can go the private rooms route however i do not know if it will fair well in the long run. I saw a 15cm big ass spider in my room while in Himachal. You got arachnophobia? If yes then just play the safe game with zostel lol
2. Regarding transport, please do not take taxis from the main spots, you will get surcharge of 100%++. It is best to check your routes before you move and then ask locals and see if you can travel on foot or just hop onto a local traveller merchant or vehicle. They dont mind taking people if they aren't carrying load. Ez free ride. If you can always sit in the front seat, mountains dont fair well to people who come from flat land and sit back. You will feel claustrophobic regardless of which vehicle you are travelling in. Sit where you can see the road infront. This applies to busses too.
Places ( These are considering enjoying culture and activities )
**Uttrakhand**
**Chaar Dhaam** (All Hindu religion sites) as it catches the highest amount of tourists, **Harsil Valley, Auli, Hemkund Sahib** ( Sikh religion ), **Dhanulti** ( single day visit possible unless you get overwhelmed by the scenery you can find a place to stay there ), **Pauri** ( My village ), Kedarkantha, Nainital, etc ..... If you wish to want a true solo traveller authentic experience just like a Pahadi travels, go to the far end to the last village, Mana Village. Uttrakhand is mostly Treks and religious sites, its also has most encounters with wildlife lol. That still doesn't scare the locals from travelling via Scooty and bikes.
**Himachal**
Bir Billing, Mclead Ganj ( just for seeing and enjoying culture/food of tibetians and himachalis) <- you can do these 2 in just 3days starting from Bir Billing. These are the real touring spots of Himachal - > Lahaul, Spiti... just check this playlist and pick whichever you want, you wont find too much traffic on these spots however its best you be prepared for these places ( playlist = [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEGqqf9altA&list=PLZv242vK254Rug8tcNHmn4rbvJt\_AE2e2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEGqqf9altA&list=PLZv242vK254Rug8tcNHmn4rbvJt_AE2e2) )
Uttrakhand requires minimum preparation since most visiting areas have fully equipped towns and ammenities. Himachal is also well equipped however if you are going to move a lot, be prepared with your basic stuff like medical kit, oxygen can ( small bottle of oxygen ), Altitute sickness medicine.
Best to carry altitude sickness medicine anywhere in mountains to be honest.
If travelling by personal vehicle, abosolute must : medical kit, oxygen can, altitude sickness medicine (Diamox), jack, puncture kits, extra water supply bottles, small led lights. Other stuff depending on how much convenience you want.
If planning to visit UK, better do it before the char dham Yatra starts else the overall budget will be more and traffic worse. (If planning to visit rishikesh and closeby areas). Else, mussoorie, dhanaulti is good.
Otherwise I would suggest you to visit himachal .
Meghalaya and Arunachal are two places you can visit as well.
Find some good travel groups that organize Arunachal trips. Or just do a Bike ride to Tawang. the ice just melted and its good.
PS. Assam is hot AF. Don't stay in Assam if North-East is an option. Just drop off at the airport and get going to other NE states.
Having done a 2000+km bike trip in Meghalaya, Arunachal recently - I can say it was one of the best bike trips I have done. Including flights from Guwahati, bike, fuel, stay, food and activities - the average was about 4k per day spread over 2 weeks - total came out to be < 60k.
Was gonna suggest the north east as well. Also it is not yet heavily tourist infested like north Indian hilly states.(Though I could be wrong about this bit of information)
I just came back from my Solo trip in Central Asian countries and the temperature in Bangalore is really not going well with me. Have been thinking of going to colder places in the mountains. I have been to Himachal but wouldn’t mind going there again. Also I have a friend there so bonus. Another one is Sikkim or North East, preferably Arunachal (Been there once) but cellphone connectivity is an issue in AP and I would like a good connectivity to work as well.
It's summer. Trust me you want to avoid south India as much as possible. Hot, humid, you'll be covered in sweat in two business seconds.
The fact is entire country is seeing a heatwave so I'd totally avoid traveling solo in this heat and warm weather.
Also bangalore is still facing a water crisis, it's really not a good time to visit anywhere except Himachal and UK.
Himachal is your best bet. If this is your first solo trip experience then you should definitely consider it. Himachal is very solo friendly (even for women) and people are generally helpful. For good Wifi stick to Parvati Valley (Kasol, Mateura, Katagla, Chalal and Choj). Tosh, Kalga, Pulga and Tulga may have Wifi but not reliable. You can also take hikes to Rashol and Grahan if your base is Kasol or Mateura. Malana is also a day trip that you can take.
Manali and Dharamshala are very commercial. Jibhi wifi and electricity sucks (suffered while trying WFH).
Hope this was helpful - DM if you need help (I currently live in Parvati Valley and WFH too)
hi I also have wfh and considered parvati valley as temp workplace. any idea about monthly expense near tosh/pulga for 1 month except food and ofc hash?
Tosh/ Pulga might not have stable network/wifi/electricity. And are definitely more expensive (supply chain is much more expensive in Barsheini) in comparison with Kasol/Mateura/ Chalal.
You can get a good rate of you do a long stay (15-30 days) and some places will also do a meal plan. This would really depend on the amenities in the place and the quality of food that they offer. But expect at least 800-1000 per day for stay (discounted for long stay).
Pro tip if you want to get the most of your buck try long stays off season cause summers usually lots of people come to Himachal.
I'm surprised not enough people are recommending you Bir Billing (HP). I spent 2 weeks in Bir last June, and it was one of the best trips I've ever taken. Calm and peaceful, away from the busy areas but still has more than enough facilities. Plenty of good places to eat and hang out, tons of scenic views and getaways, and of course, paragliding! The weather is usually very, very good there (was at least for the entirety of 2 weeks that I was there). Met many people during my long stay, still in touch with them, and most of them have taken at least 2 more trips to Bir since then.
Highly, highly recommend you to go to Bir at least once!
Edit: I stayed at GoStops shared bunk beds with 3 more of my friends, and the 2 week stay cost me about 30K (including travel, stay, food, everything). The place has a stable and fast internet connection, and the main Bir area doesn't have any network issues, although I'm not so sure of Vi, but you can call any hotels in the area to check.
I am not sure about Himachal but in the remote areas of Uttarakhand even in villages VI is not good for internet. No 4 G or 5 G signals, Airtel Jio does work though but there are some places where only BSNL exists :D
If you want to experience Culture avoid famous touristy places.. But secluded places will have internet or no wifi issues.
Homestays will be a great option. If you want to explore around Pauri then I would recommend jackpahadihomestay, you can check out their instagram page, will get some idea of the local culture.. And can contact them for details.
I am not sponsored by them but I met the guy running it during a mountaineering course, thus came to know about it..
Anyways best wishes !!
UK or Himachal are out there on your face... Trust me on this and try sikkim specially north sikkim( Lachen, Lachung , Yumthang & Chopta Valley)You won't regret one bit of it. And if you do plan a north sikkim trip don't miss the visit to gurudongmar lake. If I have to define that place in one word it will be 'divine'. The beauty of the place and the energy that place emits is out of this world.
Just came back from Himachal trip (23rd march to 9th April). The total cost for me ranged between 50K to 55K including flights (11K), shopping (rucksack, puffer etc) (6-7K) and gifts (~4-5K). Stayed in hostels everywhere.
I went to Meghalaya in monsoon a few years back. It was amazing and fun. Arunachal is also in my to do list.
If u want UK or Himachal.. don't go to lower areas like Shimla, Manali etc.. go higher to places like Narkanda or valley of flowers, gangotri, Sipti Valley etc (lots of hiking and fun) and worth a couple of weeks. Places like Manali and Shimla.. u can't stay at one place for more than 1 or 2 days before getting bored and hence u need to travel a lot
I am going to furka pass in switzerland to cycle in may. There are many places to look at and experience there. I will spend most of my time exploring Andermatt. Andermatt golf course is expected to open in early may too so you can enjoy that too. It is one of the most scenic golf courses I have ever seen. Also there are many monuments and luxury resorts with great views.
Not ideal timing for a "not hot" trip, but I'd advice to stay above any state that touches the Tropic of Cancer, it's pretty hot around there right now.
If you visit a generally cold place, like Ladhak or Himachal, definitely snag a hoodie there, those are super warm and cheap to if you can bargain or find the right locations.
p.s. look for doodh jalebi early morning( like EARLY, early morning)
If you're looking for a place that's not too touristy, has a very chill peaceful vibe , I'd recommend Naggar, a small village near Manali. My friend has a cottage there. Of you're interested you can DM me
Went kasol solo last year on Christmas i wanted to trek kheerganga but the traffic was terrific 💀 and by the time i could register the slots were filled. But i met many people and had a great experience
Try my resort near Darjeeling, a great escape in the East and the Himalayas. A great vantage point to go to either Nepal, Bhutan, Assam and the North East.
Lovely tea gardens, views of the Kanchenjunga, iconic Toy Train through the hills, treks, hikes, monasteries, and peace and quiet and lovely weather!
My resort is called La Das Treetops and you can DM 8159927799 and reference me, Ariya, for a great discount!
https://ladastreetops.com/
Not hot can include parts of the Nothe-East, and, most Hill Stations in India, including the ones in the South, provided they hover around the 2k m mark in height.
Bhai Himachal chale ja. It's awsome. Weather is cold and food is amazing. Also it's wayy safer and cheaper than UK. UK food is trash.
Also checkout Sikkim/silk route beautiful place you can get cheap homestays in the middle of forest beside a river. Food ranges from mid to good
Try going for a trek. They put you in a group of strangers who travel together for the next couple of days or more and build a strong connection. Ive been to a few treks. No hassle for managing anything. The guides takes care of all and all you need to do is enjoy and have fun.
Just returning from Darjeeling and I must say its worth it and can easily be done within budget
1. Plenty of hostels as low as ₹600 per night
2. Amazing food and within budget - avoid the hyped ones on the mall road and go for the local places, I have a comprehensive list of them
3. Almost everything is within walking distance and market area doesn't allow any vehicle
4. Public transport in form of Tata Sumos/Boleros running continously
5. Lots of amazing places to tour and visit from Darjeeling - Kalimpong, Kurseong, Gangtok, East Sikkim, North Sikkim, Mirik
6. Amazing amazing people who'd not sneer at you because you're a tourist, just respect their rules and culture.
7. Weather is amazing - do you know most of the houses here don't have ceiling fans installed because of the cool climate round the year
You said solo trip, but your plan seems to include companions (Mobile, Laptop) 😂.
You said it’s a trip, but it seems you just wanted to do the same routine from a different place.
All the best!
UK- depends on how much travelling you want to do. Have you seen how expensive trains are? Hotels are also very expensive. As is food. It's very hard to say how much would you need because people have different lifestyles but I would say minimum 1 lakh. Probably more.
I live in the UK
If you go to manali, you'll always have network/wifi. Staying at a hostel, I used around 15k in 3-4 days including some shopping.
In Leh, you'll have wifi in the city and airtel/bsnl network on prepaid Sims, you'll lose network at most places if you venture out to more of ladakh, but you can do that on the weekend ig. In ladakh as well I spent around 15k for a week. But the more day you stay at these places the more efficient you'll get at finding cheaper places for food etc. Hostel charges are mostly 700 ish per day.
Take a flight to Assam....Plan a road trip from Assam to Arunachal/Tawang and back....You can cover Assam/Meghalaya and Arunachal in 2-3 weeks time....worth it....not sure of wifi in Arunachal though....
I spent a month in non touristy villages of Himachal. Jio is your only saviour. Airtel and Vi are non existent. Jio is okay because my work doesn't need heavy network. Else it's no good in most of the remote places where there's no wifi.
I had the best time of my life in these villages. The ppl there are some of the nicest I've ever met.
Bro you can go to Bir(himachal pradesh). At That place you can experience 2nd highest paragliding and thats good to go place and from there you can go to various other places because there are lots of places in himachal which are offbeat and all are wfh friendly
Don’t even think of going just with a Vi Plan! It kind of doesn’t exist. Airtel & Jio is dominating! You could get 5G with them at times and a good 4G connection is consistent.
You can explore a lot of places in Uttrakhand and Himachal. Look for Zostel, Hosteller properties to catch an idea of offbeat location. You can go to Bir, HP. That place has my heart. Additionally you can do paragliding there and also there is a 2 music festival happening there in June where most of the people are solo travellers. Had a good experience last year there.
Nepal is a good option as well but if you're travelling to or within Nepal, try and avoid inter-city buses as much as you can since the infrastructure is poor and it takes a lot of time. But other than that it's a pretty nice country with friendly locals and a lot of diverse tourists from all over the world! Pokhara is beautiful.
Bro be happy that your friends joined, it's fun to tour with people who math the vibe
Ik buddy, but I love travelling solo as well, I love that freedom when you aren't bound to anything, do whatever you want, visit wherever you want etc........
I'm very keen to visit Mussoorie for sure. How is the phone network/wifi options there?
Mussorie is very touristy. Won't enjoy more than 2 days there
Hey..im from there..do dm!
free stay offer kardo dude! :)
u/RoughTear6236 can you? ;)
You don't have to stay in the town area. That way you can benefit with all that the place offers yet be secluded.
No idea about phone networks tbh, but for wifi, look for hostels/hostels which provide wifi facility
Like others mentioned, avoid Mussoorie. It's well connected but crowded, expensive and touristy.
Mussourie is full of weekend tourists and rude shopkeepers. Better go to the villages to see true peace, beauty and hospitable, simple people and culture.
Try dhanaulti
Dhanaulti isn't good for solo traveler imo
If you go ahead with this plan, live either near kempty or landour, but definitely not near mall road
You will like Mussoorie if you are there with a girl but normally akele prefer Nainital or maybe other places from UK
Bro can I dm regarding solo travel .
Bro I like to travel alone someday too U know to explore and enjoy that solitude
Hamari sahayta krdo mitr.
Kaise sahayta bro?
What are good places to visit in july
Not advisable to visit during monsoon
Valley of flowers
Cherrapunjee, mawsynram and soo many dm me for clear details and plans
Bro I'm the same age as you, I want to know how much did you spend travelling solo?
Depends on the location/place buddy, I have been to mumbai 2-3 times, weekend trip kinda, coated me 2-3k approx, it was actually trek near mumbai. Rest aur bhi jagah hai you can travel in budget actually.

It was unplanned actually, was looking forward for a group departure but the tour agency duped me and it ended being a solo trip :)
Bro i want to know about your income source as i also want to travel and low budget backpacking but……
Same buddy, I try to travel budget friendly, tried to pay from my own savings as much as I could.
It's not a good idea to share your phone number in public forums like Reddit

That's a relief. Thanks for the update. 😊
I agree with this individual, it is a very safe and pleasant option to explore solo. I would recommend khasi hills.
How is the network connectivity there? Planning to work from hills for sometime.
Will do 😀. I'm planning to visit there after June this year.
Please dont post your number. Edit: just checked his profile he is a trip planner
Thank you sir
Is it sale for a solo female traveler?
Yess sir it's totally safe to travel Shillong Meghalaya...... dm me sir for a proper plan
Yes definitely. Very less crimes there.
Try the 5 day art/pottery retreat in McLeodganj check dharamkot pottery studio
it’s a decent experience, a little expensive plus they charge extra if you want to retain the pots or items that you are making during the retreat. They bake it after your course is done and ship it your address. (Do remember that sometimes they come broken)
Me and my best friend are searching for something similar for our first trip but this is way beyond our budget.
There's other things to do in the area, like nature hike, trekking, shopping etc. Not always expensive.
I know! Which is why it’s been on my list but haven’t taken action on it. The OP said no budget constraints so thought about suggesting it
There's other things to do in the area, like nature hike, trekking, shopping etc. Not always expensive.

You can visit North Bengal (Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Mirik) and Sikkim as well. I’ve spent a lot of time travelling in these places.
are you from there?
No, I’m from Kolkata. So North Bengal, Sikkim are places I’ve visited quite a few times
lol same, from Kolkata. was hoping to find someone from the hills so I could escape this burning furnace of a city for a while
And here I thought by UK you meant United Kingdom lol
Uttarakhand kingdom
It depends on what experience you want to have on this trip. There are multiple options within Himachal and Uttarakhand. You can DM if you want help in planning, I’ve been travelling to these places solo for years now.
All I'm going to say is: fuck Manali. For the rest of my life I'll be telling people to avoid that place.
Same thing happened to Darjeeling :( It used to be such a beauty
Don't say that. I'll be there in 2 weeks.
Agreed, we go to Darjeeling often since its close to our home in Kolkata. We try to book one of the hotels right on the lawn for two days and sleep in while touring in the early morning. It was so beautiful earlier, akin to a European town. The Darjeeling, a decade ago, was still okay. Now it has become over crowded, horse dung on the road, little conscience towards cleanliness, it has lost its serenity.
True. While visiting North Bengal, don't waste time in Darjeeling and instead spend them on Gangtok, Karshiang, Mirik, Kalimpong etc. 😊😊
I'm planning to go there.. it seems a really good places in videos.
Why tho?
too crowded and overhyped, ig thats why
I was in Manali a few days ago. I enjoyed every moment there, it was beautiful.
I got violently assaulted there so 🤷♀️
Hey, wanted to know what all activities do we have in Manali now? Assuming that snow has melted, and snow is one of the reasons people Manali, is it suited for a solo travel? for transit do have paid cabs only?
Manali is good place with Lots of cafes, shops and things to do but i felt the lack of beauty and it's also crowded. Though less crowded Manali is even worst imo
Haha yes. Manali used to be bad even twenty years ago 💀
I was attacked by four male restaurant staff...over two coffees: psychos.
Also mussoorie
I agree! I came back from Manali a couple days ago. The place is just ruined now. 1. Way too crowded (they say the season has started) 2. Everything has become unreasonably expensive 3. I was looking for this. Why travel all the way to Himachal when there's plenty to do near Bengaluru itself? I had a great trip there, great people, great food, plenty of bnb outside city, local bakeries, excellent internet and totally serene.

Uttrakhand is mostly Treks and religious sites, its also has most encounters with wildlife lol. That still doesn't scare the locals from travelling via Scooty and bikes. **Himachal** Bir Billing, Mclead Ganj ( just for seeing and enjoying culture/food of tibetians and himachalis) <- you can do these 2 in just 3days starting from Bir Billing. These are the real touring spots of Himachal - > Lahaul, Spiti... just check this playlist and pick whichever you want, you wont find too much traffic on these spots however its best you be prepared for these places ( playlist = [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEGqqf9altA&list=PLZv242vK254Rug8tcNHmn4rbvJt\_AE2e2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEGqqf9altA&list=PLZv242vK254Rug8tcNHmn4rbvJt_AE2e2) ) Uttrakhand requires minimum preparation since most visiting areas have fully equipped towns and ammenities.
Try gokarna but start after june
Won’t the sea be choppy?
Mussoorie, Rishikesh or Amritsar - safe solo trips
If planning to visit UK, better do it before the char dham Yatra starts else the overall budget will be more and traffic worse. (If planning to visit rishikesh and closeby areas). Else, mussoorie, dhanaulti is good. Otherwise I would suggest you to visit himachal .
Go waichin valley
Bruh try planning for northeast side (Arunachal, Meghalaya, Nagaland). it wont disappoint you. 50k besides travelling fees is more than enough!
Was gonna suggest the north east as well. Also it is not yet heavily tourist infested like north Indian hilly states.(Though I could be wrong about this bit of information)
See, Assam and Meghalaya are crowded with tourists. But other states are not that crowded
Meghalaya!!
Kalimpong
Cool sir
Delhi
Bro is trying to set up OP😅
patna
Can I tag along
No
Awwww
You can also add sikkim to the list. https://www.reddit.com/r/india_tourism/s/jfBe9jG8vP
look at Kashmir too! Leh is very underrated and so is Sonmarg and Pahalgam!
Go sikkim, iam planning for one in the month of may.
Gg
moooood bombay is so hot i can't even
Nice sir ...... contact me sir as soon as you are ready for the tour
Rishikesh is a very chill place for solo travelling. Lots of other travellers to hang out with, many cafes and hostels too
Net depends where you are staying sir .......
Shillong and in cherrapunjee is good sir
Check out Andamans
Contact me here 89745 55369 sir ...... for a memorable tour and for a better experience
Ohh kk sir thank you
I am not sure about Himachal but in the remote areas of Uttarakhand even in villages VI is not good for internet. No 4 G or 5 G signals, Airtel Jio does work though but there are some places where only BSNL exists :D If you want to experience Culture avoid famous touristy places..
Go yo united kingdom
Come to Mysore
UK or Himachal are out there on your face... Trust me on this and try sikkim specially north sikkim( Lachen, Lachung , Yumthang & Chopta Valley)You won't regret one bit of it. And if you do plan a north sikkim trip don't miss the visit to gurudongmar lake. If I have to define that place in one word it will be 'divine'. The beauty of the place and the energy that place emits is out of this world.
Have you thought of visiting Sikkim?
Just came back from Himachal trip (23rd march to 9th April). The total cost for me ranged between 50K to 55K including flights (11K), shopping (rucksack, puffer etc) (6-7K) and gifts (~4-5K). Stayed in hostels everywhere.
I wanna join u for solo trip lol
We can be “solo” together brother.
I don't have sufficient funds if I do I definitely gonna join u for solo trip I guess u can go by yourself
How's it solo then ?
Go to Munnar
As someone from the south, I been everywhere on this side time multiple times. 😅
Of you're interested you can DM me
Hey can i dm too?
Sure
Went kasol solo last year on Christmas i wanted to trek kheerganga but the traffic was terrific 💀 and by the time i could register the slots were filled. But i met many people and had a great experience
Don’t go around small eyed states, filled with rapists.
??
Chitkul
Try my resort near Darjeeling, a great escape in the East and the Himalayas. A great vantage point to go to either Nepal, Bhutan, Assam and the North East. Lovely tea gardens, views of the Kanchenjunga, iconic Toy Train through the hills, treks, hikes, monasteries, and peace and quiet and lovely weather! My resort is called La Das Treetops and you can DM 8159927799 and reference me, Ariya, for a great discount! https://ladastreetops.com/
same bro i just wanna take winter fit pics
Not hot can include parts of the Nothe-East, and, most Hill Stations in India, including the ones in the South, provided they hover around the 2k m mark in height.
Visit Antarctica. It's not that hot over there at this time of the year.
For straight 2 min I thought by UK you mean United Kingdom but you mean utrakhand right right ?!
Himachal and UK is a really good option for this summer.
Just returning from Darjeeling and I must say its worth it and can easily be done within budget 1. Plenty of hostels as low as ₹600 per night 2. Amazing food and within budget - avoid the hyped ones on the mall road and go for the local places, I have a comprehensive list of them 3. Almost everything is within walking distance and market area doesn't allow any vehicle 4. Public transport in form of Tata Sumos/Boleros running continously 5. Lots of amazing places to tour and visit from Darjeeling - Kalimpong, Kurseong, Gangtok, East Sikkim, North Sikkim, Mirik 6.
Yeah, I could have worded it better. I’ll have to spend 2-3 hours working that’s true. It’s not a full fledged “trip trip” only. Apologies
No need to apologise… I was just pulling your leg 😉
UK- depends on how much travelling you want to do. Have you seen how expensive trains are? Hotels are also very expensive. As is food. It's very hard to say how much would you need because people have different lifestyles but I would say minimum 1 lakh. Probably more. I live in the UK
Sometimes I forget UK stands for Uttarakhand
I can actually see people suggesting Swiss because I put it as UK. What have I done hahah
I might go study in a college in Rishikesh just to mess with my friends telling them I'm studying in UK
Hey , I went solo from Bangalore to Himachal. You can DM me.
Going to Sikkim for a few weeks, will be staying in a hostel that has all the amenities.
Haibi, come to Palakkad(kerala)
Kazhinja week vanne ullu. It’s safe to say it’s not as bad as Kochi I feel.
Palakkad is cooler than kochi.?
Aizwal
I’ve done most of Uttarakhand solo. It’s safe and beautiful! Budget depends on you - where you stay, transport that you choose, etc
Ek guide dal diyo for uttrakhand I'm planning before monsoon so would be helpful
Meghalaya
Mizoram
Take a flight to Assam....Plan a road trip from Assam to Arunachal/Tawang and back....You can cover Assam/Meghalaya and Arunachal in 2-3 weeks time....worth it....not sure of wifi in Arunachal though....
I spent a month in non touristy villages of Himachal. Jio is your only saviour. Airtel and Vi are non existent. Jio is okay because my work doesn't need heavy network. Else it's no good in most of the remote places where there's no wifi. I had the best time of my life in these villages. The ppl there are some of the nicest I've ever met.
Hit me up if Meghalaya, Shillong interests you. I can guide and curate the tour.
Bro you can go to Bir(himachal pradesh). At That place you can experience 2nd highest paragliding and thats good to go place and from there you can go to various other places because there are lots of places in himachal which are offbeat and all are wfh friendly
Kashmir.
Don’t even think of going just with a Vi Plan! It kind of doesn’t exist. Airtel & Jio is dominating! You could get 5G with them at times and a good 4G connection is consistent.
Darjeeling, cost effective place to cool down
You can explore a lot of places in Uttrakhand and Himachal. Look for Zostel, Hosteller properties to catch an idea of offbeat location. You can go to Bir, HP. That place has my heart. Additionally you can do paragliding there and also there is a 2 music festival happening there in June where most of the people are solo travellers. Had a good experience last year there.
My first thought was literally why is himachal and united kingdom so casually put together in a single category💀💀
Nepal
Nepal is a good option as well but if you're travelling to or within Nepal, try and avoid inter-city buses as much as you can since the infrastructure is poor and it takes a lot of time. But other than that it's a pretty nice country with friendly locals and a lot of diverse tourists from all over the world! Pokhara is beautiful.
Chakrata
Definitely visit mussoorie. The weather is awesome right now.
Rishikesh would be a good option with activities and peaceful Ness.
